I know it's kind of moot, but technically F Tys can retreat to Naples, right? RealPolitik likes to autodisband units who NMRed,  but I believe he still gets the option, doesn't he?

Hey everyone, don’t forget builds are due in just over a half hour from now!

Oh and good news, I’ve heard from Cory who’s been unfortunately under the weather lately.  I’ll be covering this winter, plus next spring and summer, and then we’ll return you to your regularly scheduled GM by next Thu.

So yeah… this means you’re stuck w me for a lil longer.

Enjoy!

As a favor to me.  Can someone shoot down the 3-way F/I/R?

I'm not sure I like the idea of being eliminated for no real purpose.  I would have voted in favor of it if I were still alive... but being killed off and then the whole group decides to end the game without my needing to be dead is sort of a kick to the face.

I'm insulted by it actually.

Otherwise -- no hard feelings.  Fun while it lasted.  And someone please tell me if there had been any hope for me at all originally.  Russia seemed to be moving against me from the start and France and Germany worked together like they were the same person, even when it was clear there was no benefit to working against me *cough* dumb moves by
Germany *end cough*.

dc378 fall 1904 - catsfather   (Apr 21, 2011, 4:04 pm)
Blimey, what are we looking at here? Two Turkish retreats, an
Austrian and a Russian retreat ... then it's ... eh...?
Austria removes 2 (unless they disbanded in the retreat and then they
only need to remove 1).
England builds 3. Nice!
France builds 2.
Germany builds 1.
Russia removes 2 (unless they disbanded...).
Turkey builds none (unless they disbanded...).
Crikey. Don't be surprised if any of the above is wrong, so if you
think you've got an extra build, or your rival doesn't then do send me
an explanation.
Retreats, builds, removals due 9pm GMT on 22 April.

Everyone,

I'm not sure your understanding of my last message was clear.

I didn't accuse anyone of being the same person.  I only observed that the moves were succinct between England and Germany.  I used the term 'like they were the same person'.  I know that the word 'like' implies a similarity not "the same" even I used them in the same sentence.  I could say alligator tastes "like chicken".  I'm fully aware of them being different animals.

Also -- I also hope you all know that my main intention was to inspire someone to take my side of this issue and vote down the F/I/R draw.

So -- no spite -- just have fun whatever you end up doing.  Feel
like it is worth a three way draw after all of that?  Your decision.

And yes, I think the biggest factor here was Austria's being a non-player.  I told some that I was worried about that way before the spring move was announced.

Cheers,

Robin CD

Thanks for the clarification Robin. Facing two players who are in lock-step is always tough, especially when it means that you are on getting the business end of a beat down. As everyone is aware we would not tolerate any true cheating and have ways to sniff that out. I have David in another game I am GMing and have seen nothing but stand-up, ruthless behavior. Ok, I kid a bit but you get the point.

As a note, I am waiting on clarification of a rule from my other site Moderator before publishing results; that is the cause of the delay. Hopefully I hear in the next few hours and can get this out.

Subject: dc382 - F04 Results: An EGP Already?

We Have an EGP - 3-way F/I/R with Survival for the Rest
Farewell England

German Capital Relocation to Denmark

All,

Lots of action in the Fall! We had two retreats, both of which were easy so I took them:

A Edi could retreat to Yor or Cly but it is irrelevant

A Mun could retreat to Sil or OTB. I took it to Silesia and will let David decide on which units to
disband.

We have some adjustments:

France builds 2

Germany removes 3 (ouch)

Italy builds 2

Russia builds 2

Turkey removes 1

Let's get those in to my at 1pm CDT tomorrow!

Garry

DC 373: F1903 Adjudication - AceRimmer   (Apr 21, 2011, 11:27 am)
Fierce fiery warriors fought upon the clouds,
In ranks and squadrons and right form of war,
Which drizzled blood upon the Capitol.
- Julius Caesar. ACT II Scene 2.

It is a Fall of standoff in the center plus movement in the periphery. In 1904, opportunities will abound. Treachery can only multiply those opportunities.

Turkey is invaded. Two-fold. Yet Russia sees no gains. The Crimea falls. All the while, England advances rapidly in the north. Germany is in the Baltic Sea. And Italy earns a build ??? just in time to welcome French visitors from the West.

There are two retreats. Both Turkish:
F Constantinople retreats to Ankara (unless ordered off the board)
A Smyrna can retreat to Ankara, Armenia, Syria, or off the board.

Assuming no OTB retreats, Winter adjustments will be just the Italian build an Turkish disband:
Austria: Supp 6 Unit 6 Build 0
England: Supp 5 Unit 5 Build 0
France: Supp 5 Unit 5 Build 0
Germany: Supp 6 Unit 6 Build 0
Italy: Supp 5 Unit 4 Build 1
Russia: Supp 5 Unit 5 Build 0
Turkey: Supp 2 Unit 3 Remove 1

I will be traveling Friday through Monday. So, retreats and builds will be due simultaneously on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. CST.

Whoops... Turkey ordered Rum-Bud, not to Gal!  This creates all sorts of backup in the Turk unit movement... the Black Sea convoy bounces, new map attached.

Germany is dislodged in Berlin but could only retreat to Prussia so it is made so!

Note I'll cover the fall turn so send those to me please.

Enjoy!

Whoops... Turkey ordered Rum-Bud, not to Gal!  This creates all sorts of backup in the Turk unit movement... the Black Sea convoy bounces, new map attached.

Frank, I couldn't find moves from you!

Note we're pressed for time here since this one went a couple days past due.  Only a day for this next turn, due 8pm Central TOMORROW Thursday.  I made the deadline a little later in the day to make sure you have as much time as possible.

Germany is dislodged in Berlin but could only retreat to Prussia so it is made so!

Note I'll cover the fall turn so send those to me please.

Enjoy!

dc380 status - FuzzyLogic   (Apr 20, 2011, 9:45 am)
Hey everyone,

Cory may be buried in red tape down there in the IL budgeting offices... so be sure you have copied your orders to orders(at)diplomaticcorp.com.  I may have to run the turn.  If I don't hear back from our GM by 3pm today I'll do that.  Check you've sent in your orders!  If they are not copied to orders they won't be counted.

3pm Central, or in in about, oh, 5 hours from now.

If some results have gone out that I don't see pls let me know.

Thanks!

-mike
