DC 134 - WOT - Spring 1005 Results - test_gm   (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am)
My poor people are now slaves to Westlands and those that are not have become vermin - Whitecloaks.
I plead with the Northlands and the Southland to take back the midlands and ruling it together to crush this spread of disease.

RIP Midlands.

With the Borderlanders distracted, the Trolloc Hordes poured through Tarwin's Gap and have sacked Fal Dara.

In the rest of the world, The Sea Folk are on the move again, and the Garyth Bryn is rumored to have died in the rubble of the New City as the Whitecloaks burn Caemlyn and send the Midlands to the World of Dreams. There are no retreats, so we will move straight to the Fall 1005 orders.

DC140 "Never Ending Story" summer 1908 r... - test_gm   (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am)
England takes his only available retreat, but France fails to contact the dislodged fleet, leaving it to slip below the waves...

As I noted in the spring adjudication message, the French fleet had more than one destination, so I could not order the retreat myself. With the French NRR, that fleet is no more, it has ceased to be, it's an ex-fleet! (Apologies to John Cleese...)

Fall 1908 orders will be due next Tuesday 5/20 at 3pm Central (US). Thanks!

Cory

Guns, Germs and Steel 1264 / DC110 - Winter 1872 - test_gm   (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am)
Heya folks,

The proposal for the Dutch solo is voted against by one or more players. We continue on with the fray. Unfortunately, I haven't yet had a chance to fix my laptop so we go with one more hand-written adjudication... This situation will be resolved come the weekend. If necessary, I will post-pone the Spring 1873 deadline.

As it stands, though, I'll set Spring 1873 orders due for Thursday, May 22nd (11:59 PM GMT). The slightly longer length is due to the fact that I know I won't get a map out until the weekend...

Here are the Winter 1872 adjustments:

Austria: 10 Supply centers, 11 Units: Removes 1 unit.Removes F ALG

Brazil: 1 Supply center , 0 Units: Build Waived due to lack of Build Centers.

DC172 Midsummer Night's Stab - Early Winter 1602 -... - test_gm   (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am)
The world was very guilty of such a ballad some three ages since; but I think now 't is not to be found. ...

A Spanish disband, a French bottle of Champagne and a slight Ottoman miscue are the result of the Early Winter 1602 retreats. The Turks ordered a retreat to the Eastern Mediterranean but were unable to do so as this was the origin of the dislodging Spanish fleet. As a result, the Ottoman Egyptian fleet is retreated OTB.

Which leads us to Winter 1602 where all surviving powers have an adjustment... Deadline for Winter will be set for Friday, May 16th (11:59 PM GMT).

Cheers!

DC143 fall 1905 results! - test_gm   (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am)
Fall 1905 finds our powers trading control of centers. England sails into Portugal while France gains London. Russia holds on to StP at England's expense. Russia also takes Budapest but loses both Rumania and the indefensible Ankara to Austria.

Two units are dislodged and must retreat. Fortunately (for game flow, anyway), each has only one valid retreat, so I will go ahead and order them. The Austrian A Budapest retreats to Trieste, and the German A Bohemia retreats to Silesia. Kris and Niklas, please let me know within the next 24 hours if you want to retreat OTB instead.

Winter 1905 adjustments, due Thursday 5/15 at 23:59 GMT, will be as follows:
Austria even (no open centers!), or build 1 if retreat changed to OTB
England remove 1
Germany even, or build 1 if retreat changed to OTB

dc179 Blackmarch S02 Results with Retreats Needed - test_gm   (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am)
Everyone is Russia's Friend; Multiple People Supply Support to Rumania
Austria and France Under Siege? England Attacking Everyone at Once?

All - two retreats are needed. Those reflected on the map are conditional.

Hol needs to retreat. I retreated to Kie but they also have the choice of retreating to Ruh.
Tri needs to retreat. I retreated to Ser but they also have the choice of retreating to Alb.

Unless Joe or Paul wants another retreat, assume that these are where the units are. IF they want another and send me
an email stating such, I will reply to everyone to let them know.

Our next deadline [Fall 1902] is Sunday the 18th at 5pm CST. I will adjudicate that night when I return to town.
I WILL have access to email sporadically so I will confirm orders once a day between now and then.

A side note - there seems to be some unhappiness with my GMing. Given this, I will open the door to say that if you guys wish,
I will ask for a replacement GM on your behalf. I am quite happy to do so and I am sure that someone will eventually be willing
to take you guys on. Your call.

As an extra side note - since we are disparaging both my timing AND the GM call I made - please note: I did not have all orders ANYWAY
when I decided to push the original timeline due to the late French build so I know that some of you benefitted from that; one can never know but an
NMR could have happened.

Whatever though. I don't want to get into a pitched argument over what could or could not have been NOR my timing of the adjudications. If a majority votes,
I am happy to step down because the bickering is unhealthy for the game.

To the results...

Matt Kremer wrote:

With a bounce in Bud and a swap of Bul for Gre with Turkey, Austria
stays alive! With two centers! In other news, Italy seizes Vie from
Russia, France claims Por, the last open neutral, and England manages
to disrupt a convoy.

We have three retreats from two players (see bottom of adj), Russia
(2) and France (1), which are due this Friday, May 16, at 9 pm
eastern. I will adjudicate early if I receive orders early.

This corrects a missing connection between SKA & NWG.

Guns, Germs and Steel 1264 / DC110 - Winter 1872 U... - test_gm   (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am)
Heya folks,

It was pointed out to me that I made a slight miscue and didn't include the necessary Russian retreat with the adjudication last night. Apologies for the error, and my thanks to those who pointed it out.

After consultation with Rob, Russia disbands the army in Omsk. I did ask Rob for the disband AFTER he had seen the other Winter results - so I totally understand if any of you wish to cry foul. Please just let me know if you have an issue with this late adjustment, and I will resolve the issue through other means. Rob has assured me, however, that he would have disbanded in the north on the Chinese front regardless - but I sympathize if any of you other players feel that he has had an unfair advantage here.

Cheers,

Trout
