Dc115 Spring 1904 - deathblade_penguin   (Oct 11, 2007, 9:05 am)
Dc115 Spring 1904.

First of all there were two clearly VOID (not possible) moves submitted this round. Fortunately for both players involved it did not affect the outcome of the adjudication but so you know.. in future a VOID move would mean that your partner's move would be considered over yours. As an example, a void move might be

a sev - london.

Obviously this is an extreme example but I mean I'm not talking about France's move

F English S F london - north sea as this as a plausable move only voided by another country...

Dc115 Some Clarifications. - test_gm   (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am)
Dear Players of Dc115.

Some Clarifications.

A Solo win outranks a joint win. Therefore if one player brings their 2 countries to a combined SC of 20 they will beat 2 players who bring one country to a SC of 14 (if done in the same winter).

If 2 or more players both acheive 20 plus SC then the one with the highest SC count will be declared the winner.

If 2 or more players draw on their SC count of 20 or over then an immediate JOINT WIN (not a JOINT SOLO) will be offered to those players. They can vote YES to accept the joint win or NO to force the game into a TIEBREAK situation. Only players with 20 or more SC can vote in this vote.

If the game continues in a TIEBREAK situation it will be played until ONE of those players has a larger number of SC (and over 20 at the end of winter, ie a clear leader). This section of the game shall be called TIE-BREAK. NO DIAS proposals will be accepted once the TIEBREAK game starts and no other player (apart from those named in the tiebreak) can win the game.

Discussions, comments are welcome.

Dc115 Winter 1906 Information. - test_gm   (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am)
Dc115 Current Standings

For a SOLO win, a player must bring both his countries to a combined total of 20 SC.

1st: Mike Hofmann 17 SC
1st: Derek 17 SC
3rd: Felix 13 SC
4th: Daniel 10 SC
5th: Mikael 7 SC
6th: Jason 4 SC.
7th: Josh - Eliminated.
8th: Zach - Abandonment

For a JOINT win, a country must achieve 14 SC.

1st: Italy 11 SC
2nd: France 7 SC
3rd: Germany and Russia 6 SC
5th: Turkey 4 SC.

Just in case anyone is wondering, a SOLO win will out rank a joint win if they are both acheived on the same turn. In that situation, the solo win will be granted and the joint win discounted.

Dc115 Fall 1907 - EOG Derek - test_gm   (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am)
I thought this varient was very interesting and enjoyed it a lot. I thought that it added a lot of extra diplomacy and a very complicated ally structure to the game. Before the game started I put a decent amount of analysis into which countries would be able to operate with less ally conflicts then others. I request to be either G-I or I-R and ended up with Italy Russia. I then worked to create and alliance between Felix, Mike and myself. Then the difficult part was to keep the alliance stable while we fought various allied and semi-allied sectors. It is impossible to go through this varient without attacking allies. Then I got a little lucky I was able to get pretty close to 20 SC and then make some unexpected moves for the win. I enjoyed the varient and thought it was quite interesting. I was actually expecting the game to break down with people preventing each other from being able to move but it didn't really happen. Good game by all. Steve thanks for the interesting varient.

Stephen, Thank you for the stimulating variant.
The extra level of Diploming really changed the dynamic of this game.
I guess the only issues I had were near the end when turkey was getting crushed, my partner had another nation that was doing well and the communication between us fell apart.

That said, I think this variant has a lot of legs, and is very playable as long as you really understand what you are getting into.

Very Well played Derek! Thought I might be able to keep us even, but Germany just couldn't grow as fast as Russia. Not sure what happened with Turkey's attack on Rum, it might have saved me.

Very Well played Derek! Thought I might be able to keep us even, but Germany just couldn't grow as fast as Russia. Not sure what happened with Turkey's attack on Rum, it might have saved me.

Felix, nice job at keeping Germany down.

Dan, it was a good partnership. Wish we could have made it work better.

Stephen, Let's do this again!!!! I really enjoyed this dual variant.

Thanks all for a great game.

Dear Double Dippers.

I incorrectly entered an Italian order. The correct order was

EAS supports Bulgaria to Smyrna.

The result is that that Italian armies make it into Smyrna (and Bulgaria respectively) and the Turkish fleet remains in Constaniople.

Correct Map attached.
