There are 3 retreats for this Autumn (all by France).
See below.

Adjudication
------------------
England:
F London Hold
F North Sea - Edinburgh (*Bounce*)

France:

A Paris Hold
A Picardy Hold (*Dislodged*)

Retreats
------------
French A Picardy can retreat to Brest. Or OTB.
French F Spain(sc) can retreat to Mid-Atlantic Ocean or Gulf of Lyon
or Portugal. Or OTB.
French F Tunis can retreat to Ionian Sea or Western Mediterranean.
Or OTB.
However, the retreats of France are not relevant for the outcome of
the game since Russia will achieve 18 SCs this Winter, thus ending
the game. The retreats don't matter for France's or anyone else's
survival either.

End of Game
-------------------
Russia has Solo'd with 18 SCs ending the game. All others have
Survived, except for Austria who went into CD earlier and then was
eliminated.
I would like to thank you all for playing and making this exciting
until the last turn. I also like to thank the players for sharing
their thoughts with me throughout the game; it spices up the game
for the GM as usually one has to miss out on all the interaction.
May I invite you all to write your Endgame comments? About your fun
and grievances, your victories and your defeats, your GM and the
players, about the missing pieces to the puzzle. I love to read those.

Ownership of SCs at the end of the game is as follows:
England: Edinburgh, London.
France: Brest, Paris, Portugal.
Germany: Belgium, Holland.
Italy: Greece, Marseilles, Naples, Rome, Spain, Trieste,
Tunis, Venice.
Russia: Ankara, Berlin, Budapest, Bulgaria, Constantinople,
Denmark, Kiel, Liverpool, Moscow, Munich, Norway,

DC300 - F1906 deadline rescheduled to April 15 at... - bielf11   (Apr 14, 2010, 2:59 pm)
Everyone has agreed to rush the adjudication for Fall 1906, so I will run it Thursday April 15 at 17:00GMT.
Last chance to submit your orders and your vote on the Russian Solo !

A simple solution to the mystery - txurce   (Apr 13, 2010, 2:46 pm)
Fellow DC diplomats,

Russia can solo by holding, and he can avoid eliminating Turkey by taking Kiel and withdrawing from Smyrna. It's all in his control.

If the rest of you want to find out who is voting against the solo, or foil his reason for doing so, there's a very simple solution: everyone order "All units hold."

There is no reason for any player other than Russia to be moving any units, except to extend the game.

My orders are in, and I vote yes to a Russian solo.

I vote in favor of an early decision, early vote. Russia votes "Yes". Is the best way for each player to individually write to you to say that they are voting for an early decision as well as what their vote is?

DC300 - Spring 1906 adjudication - bielf11   (Apr 13, 2010, 9:57 am)
Dirk,

I won't push up the deadline unless everyone confirms that they're okay with this.
This way we prevent that someone is not around to confirm or submit orders before the original deadline.
Public votes are okay; secret votes of course too. After all, this is Diplomacy.

Frank

2010/4/13 Dirk Knemeyer <dirk-at-knemeyer.com (dirk-at-knemeyer.com)>

And if there is a secret no vote, Frank, can we possibly push up the fall adjudication? IF everyone gets their orders in can we just finish this?

Thanks,

Dirk

As Dirk said we can say what we want in public, but all it takes is someone behind the scenes to screw it all up. To be honest that hadn't occured to me, I thought that our public vote would count and I'm in favor of that being the case if at all possible.

...the Turks flee Smyrna fearing a full-blown attack from the Russians. The Russians however only ordered their fleet in Constantinople to Smyrna; it appears that they had the right intel.
The French army in Belgium gets squeezed between the Germans and own troops and has to disband. And if the French fleet hadn't moved out of Marseille, the Italians would have done that by force. They are a bit more fortunate in the south and take Tunis; a look at the map though shows that its occupation may not last very long.
Not sure whether the Germans will be celebrating their capture of Belgium because the Russians overtook Denmark and Berlin.
No retreats required.

DC300 - Spring 1906 adjudication - cfisher6   (Apr 13, 2010, 1:52 am)
Frank, I'd like to propose yet another EGP for a Russian solo. Is there any way to decide on the EGP prior to the adjudication? My vote goes for the Russian solo.

Guys, lets just get this over with and move on to the next game. There is no way to prevent a solo at this point as Russia is not under any sort of threat to lose an SC. That will put him at 18. If you didn't send in a vote in the past please do so now, it will save everyone some time and Frank the trouble of compiling another adjudication.

strenuously it is argued for.

Spring 1906: the Powers tried again to bring an end to this war but failed once more.
The Russian Solo EGP was rejected.
And thus the war continues...
...the Turks flee Smyrna fearing a full-blown attack from the Russians.

DC300 - Spring 1906 adjudication (dc300) dknemeyer Apr 13, 09:09 am
Hey Bruce,

I agree this is the most logical explanation but I've talked to Sun a
fair amount in direct press and am pretty convinced he is NOT the one
delaying it. That is the source of my frustration, I think it is
happening either out of apathy or maybe somebody is just spiteful and
trying to prove a point. I'm not sure. As has been pretty clearly
illustrated, Russia WILL have the solo at the end of this year.

DC300 - Spring 1906 adjudication (dc300) bielf11 Apr 13, 09:57 am
Dirk,

I won't push up the deadline unless everyone confirms that they're okay with this.
This way we prevent that someone is not around to confirm or submit orders before the original deadline.
Public votes are okay; secret votes of course too. After all, this is Diplomacy.

Frank

And if there is a secret no vote, Frank, can we possibly push up the fall adjudication? IF everyone gets their orders in can we just finish this?

Thanks,

Dirk

Fellow DC diplomats,

Russia can solo by holding, and he can avoid eliminating Turkey by taking Kiel and withdrawing from Smyrna. It's all in his control.

If the rest of you want to find out who is voting against the solo, or foil his reason for doing so, there's a very simple solution: everyone order "All units hold."

There is no reason for any player other than Russia to be moving any units, except to extend the game.

I vote yes to the Russian solo.

Frank, is there any objection making my vote now or do I need to repeat it in the following orders?

DC300 - EGP - bielf11   (Apr 07, 2010, 2:33 pm)
You all received an EGP from Dirk for another Russian Solo.
This EGP will be up for voting after the next adjudication, i.e. with Summer or Fall 1906 orders.
You can always propose EGPs conditionally if you don't want to have to wait another turn for the next EGP vote.

Any votes that I received since the EGP was proposed will be counted towards the next voting.
IMPORTANT: some GMs rule that EGPs can be proposed without a vote HOWEVER that's not how it works with my games.
Anyone that proposes an EGP, automatically, that is by default, votes IN FAVOR OF the EGP. Therefor if someone wants to propose an EGP but wants to vote against it for whatever reason, he needs to make that NAY vote explicit.
