Dc302 Spring 1905 adjudication - Sean2010   (Apr 27, 2010, 8:19 am)
I'm voting no as well, but I am doing so because I believe it's too early to propose such a draw. I believe we're in the beginning of the end not the end.

Guys,

isn't this a bit preposterous: a 3-Draw at this stage in the
game?

Actually I feel insulted by this EGP.

And why exclude Italy? Italy still stands a better chance
than Russia. Or was it because of the NMR?

Also funny that Turkey and Russia would want to share in a
Draw.

The more I think about this EGP I get the feeling someone
tries to humor us.

And we have a three way draw
proposal on the table...for a France/Russia/Turkey draw.  Votes with Fall
moves please - a unanimous yes is needed, with lack of a vote counting as a no,
and Austria being in civil disorder excluded from the vote.

Spring 1905 sees an exchange of
centres in the north west with russia taking Sweden off
Germany, who in turn receives English support into Holland,
with the French loss of Holland compensated by the taking of
Berlin.

Elsewhere Italy NMRs (his first) and Turkey takes advantage
by forcing his way into Ionian.

The attached .dpy file contains an error...it appears that
Realpolitick, when faced with a retreat from a player who
has just NMRed, automatically disbands the force
concerned.  This is specifically against my house
rules, which state that a player NMRing has an opportunity
to specify any retreats.  I'll have to do this via a
manual adjustment on Realpolitick - so the attached map and
.dpy file is missing the retreating Italian fleet in the
Ionian Sea.

I'll need that retreat by 2100GMT tomorrow 27th April, else
the fleet will be disbanded.  Fall 1905 moves will be
due Friday 30th April at 2100GMT

You probably all know this already anyway, but just in case you didn't:
Per my rules, draws don't have to include all survivors. Anyone not included in a draw and with more than one unit on the board (those in civil disorder excepted) would receive a survival result.
On a separate note, whilst public voting is perfectly acceptable, it's by no means compulsory, and a private message to your GM on votes is all I need.
Not that I'm suggesting any of you would be so underhand as to publically vote in a different way to your private vote...
Michael

I'm voting no as well, but I am doing so because I
believe it's too early to propose such a draw. I
believe we're in the beginning of the end not the end.

Guys,

isn't this a bit preposterous: a 3-Draw at this
stage in the game?
Actually I feel insulted by this EGP.
And why exclude Italy? Italy still stands a better
chance than Russia. Or was it because of the NMR?
Also funny that Turkey and Russia would want to share
in a Draw.

The more I think about this EGP I get the feeling
someone tries to humor us.

Frank

And we
have a three way draw proposal on the table...for a
France/Russia/Turkey draw.  Votes with Fall moves
please - a unanimous yes is needed, with lack of a vote
counting as a no, and Austria being in civil disorder
excluded from the vote.

Very interesting developments in Fall
1904, with France sweeping into two German centres in
a
surprise attack.  England continues to be under the
cosh, with Russia taking Norway off him with German
support.
Elsewhere, Italy's attempts to take out the last
Austrian
army are held off by Turkish support for the army.

One retreat needed, from England

English F Norway can retreat to Norwegian Sea or
Barents
Sea or disband

In order to move the game on quickly, I'm setting the
Autumn retreat deadline for 24 hours (at 2100GMT
Wednesday
21st), and the winter adjustments for 24 hours later
than
that at 2100GMT Thursday 22nd (in case England's
retreat
affect's anyone's adjustment decision).  I'll
adjudicate both Autumn and Winter when I get in all
the
responses I need.

Adjustments needed will be as follows:

England:   Remove 3 (or 2 if he chooses to
disband his norwegian fleet in Autumn)
France:    Build 3
Germany:   Remove 1
Russia:    Build  1

Thanks

DC302 - Germany on the brink of Civil Disorder - bielf11   (Apr 20, 2010, 4:17 pm)
While the majority of the German leaders were still celebrating that Germany had arisen like a phoenix from the ashes after its recent change of leadership, the German people were more and more overcome with concerns that the French ally would turn against them. Sooner rather than later; as the general belief was that Germany had served its purpose against the English and the Russians. More so since the French diplomats continued to insist on an imminent attack on Italy while there had been no intel from the south to confirm even the slightest movement of French troops in that direction.
A last minute attempt to join forces against the French by English diplomats had failed; they had been received with all regards by the German leaders but hadn't been able to convince.
And now, there is no longer any doubt that the German Eagle has caught fire and is going down.
A once so proud nation that had been looking towards a prosperous future alongside the French is now on the brink of civil disorder.Fall 1904 will be remembered in history as The French Betrayal.

Dc302 Spring 1904 - psychosis1973   (Apr 19, 2010, 8:36 am)
As has been pointed out to me by one of the players, Austria's NMR for Spring 1904 is his second consecutive season with an NMR (as no remove orders were received for Winter 1903). As such, Austria should be in civil disorder. I'm going to impose this, as it's in my house rules.
As Austria only has one centre remaining, I'm not proposing to seek a replacement player.

Action this time focuses on Scandanavia, with a complex
series of moves and supports resulting in Germany in Sweden
and Britain in Skagerrak. Elsewhere, forces are largely

One retreat needed from England...Matt, if you could get
that retreat in ASAP, but at the latest by 2100 GMT Monday.

English F Sweden can retreat to Finland or Gulf of Bothnia
or Norway.

Dc302 Spring 1904 reminder - bielf11   (Apr 16, 2010, 4:08 am)
No sleep all night?Wouldn't that give you an extra 7 hours?  Wink

2010/4/16 Michael Thompson <psychosis(at)sky.com>

This has been terribly remiss of me (again), but i'll be adjudicating at about 5pm GMT today - super duper busy last night (having two boys under 4 who wouldn't sleep last night didn't help!)

Apologies again for the delay...

Michael
