DC433 Autumn 06; Finished! - Zoterik   (Sep 21, 2012, 10:28 am)
The Persian units have retreated, but more importantly, consensus has been reached to bring the game to its end in a C/G/P three-way draw.  I think it definitely had more play left in it, but congratulations go out to Mike (Carthage), Matt (Greece), and Derek (Persia) for their victory.  Commiserations go to Andrew (Egypt); and Max (Rome) gets a pat on the back for staying alive in the Slav lands.  The final map is enclosed; you guys can write up your After Action Reports if you so choose, and I'll follow up with my own thoughts and observations.  Thanks very much for the pleasure of your participation!

DC433 Fall 06 - Zoterik   (Sep 18, 2012, 11:45 pm)
The balance of power shifts ever so slightly to the west, as Carthage dislodges two Persian units and Greece forces another to disband.  I can't figure out if anyone is allied, but I can make a decent guess that at least two players are looking at their chances of a solo.  Keep the votes coming for the C/G/P draw proposal!

Autumn 06 retreats are due 9:00pm CDT on 20 Sep, or 03:00 BST on 21 Sep.  I've included the adjustments along with the retreats; those who have adjustments can feel free to send them now as well, in order to speed things up.

DC433 Spring 06 Orders - Zoterik   (Sep 14, 2012, 11:21 pm)
Let battle be joined!  Year Six is marked by the onset of great and terrible war between the Carthaginian and Persian Empires while Rome proves correct Richard Sharp's adage "While you have a single unit at large, you are still in the game (TGOD, Chapter 2)."  Yet, we still have an active C/G/P draw open for your votes.  At this point in the game I won't reveal the results until all votes are received.

The Greek F Aegean Sea was dislodged, and had one retreat (Sparta), so ordered.  The Fall 06 deadline is 9:00pm CDT on 17 September or 03:00 BST on 18 September.

As a housekeeping note, Ancient Med requires 18 centers for a solo.

On we go to Year Six!  We bid farewell to the Pharaoh-if Egypt wishes to continue to receive the adjudications, do let me know.  Otherwise, Persia did not capitalize on his huge gains, potentially swinging the balance of power to the west.

Well, this turn was certainly a break from the past few years.  Greece is the big loser in Year 5, and has all three retreats.  Get them in by 9:00pm CDT on 08 September or 03:00 BST on 09 September.  Egypt NMRed, but his fate was largely sealed already.  Pending the Winter turn, Egypt will be the first eliminated.

DC433 Spring 05 Orders - Zoterik   (Sep 03, 2012, 11:02 pm)
In the wake of the defeated draw proposal, a new proposal has emerged which is an identical copy of the first.  Please do submit your votes for the renewed C/E/P proposal along with our Fall 05 orders.  Egypt is now on the brink of elimination, while Rome is guaranteed survival to the next year; Ravenna is under no threat until some armies enter Italy, or the fleets overwhelm the last Roman admiral.  Three units were disbanded this turn.  F Cyrene had no retreat and was disbanded.  The other two (A Epirus and A Memphis) each had one retreat, so ordered (Illyria and Bayuda, respectively).

The Fall 05 orders are due at 9:00pm US Central on 6 September, or 03:00 BST on 7 September.  Don't forget your vote!

The Spring 05 orders are due at 9:00pm US Central on September 3rd, or 03:00 BST on September 4th.  That's a day longer than the usual deadline, but Monday is a federal holiday in the States, and I don't think anyone wants to NMR at this point.

Alright, sorry for the delay but we're back on track.  Following the Spring turn, certain Egyptian and Roman home centers are now under foreign occupation, thus-far unable to purge the hostile intent of the C/G/P triumvirate.  There are three retreating units this turn:  one Egyptian and two Roman.  The possible retreats are given below the orders.

Summer 04 retreats are due at 9:00pm US Central on 23 August, or 03:00 BST on 24 August.  Adjudication will take place upon receipt of all retreats, unless marked "provisional".

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times... but it all depends on which side of the Mediterranean you watch the unfolding wars of conquest.  A busy Fall turn leads to five units dislodged, one of which (Egyptian A Petra) has no retreat and is disbanded.  Therefore we proceed to the Autumn 03 turn.  The necessary retreats and possible moves are provided below the orders.  Autumn 03 retreats are due at 9:00pm US Central on 10 August, or 03:00 BST on 11 August.  However, please note that due to my participation in the WDC, I will likely be adjudicating much later than that (possibly in the morning), so I thank you in advance for your patience.  Just to be safe, have the retreats submitted before the deadline as per usual.
