Once again there was lots of action around the board. England and Spain were able to keep Italy out of the South Atlantic Ocean, and Spain regained occupation of the Tanger. France was dislodged from Piedmont and will have to find a supply center quickly to stay on the board. Turkey was hit in eastern Europe, losing positions in Slovakia and Hungary.

I really like this variation. Are some countries better off from the start? Perhaps. But this point in the game is when it gets interesting! England and Spain both lost SAO to Italy whose control over Tanger made the difference. England lost control of La Manche to Germany, who steamrolled into Leningrad and assisted in Marseilles. Balkans lost Hungary to Turkey, but also lost Macedonia to Italy with Turkey's help. Turkey also was able to take control of Moscow. No matter how USSR retreats, Germany and Turkey have completely wiped out USSR this year. Thanks John for playing with us!

I am getting dizzy with the bouncing this season...
Germany bounced with USSR, Spain bounced with France, and Balkans with Turkey.
France lost two territories this season, one to Germany and one to Spain. Germany also was able to take possession of Norway and Lithuania. Italy and Balkans traded Venice for Greece, Turkey took Tobruk from England, and Italy took Tanger. Remember that land bridges only work with Armies, not with Fleets.
We don't have any retreats this year, so we are on to Winter adjustments!

Please note the correct territory names and abbreviations... I am guessing on some orders based on what the order is doing, not the territory name given. Areas like "Western Black Sea" instead of "West Black Sea" or "Istanbul" used for "Istambul" are particular problems (slightly different but close).
This round had some great game play. England dislodged USSR from Edinburgh, and is sneaking around Turkey in Sudan. France was hit hard by Germany and Spain, losing an army in Gaskony, and failing in his other moves. Germany attacked USSR hard too, moving into Norway and Lithuania. Balkans continued the march west, looking to gain ground in northern Italy, but may loose out on his eastern and southern regions. Italy continues his march west as well, but left the back door open in Venice. Turkey continues his domination of the eastern portion of the board, ever moving north and west. Spain was also able to make headway north into France while dominating most of Africa.
The USSR Army in Lithuania can retreat to Estonia or Latvia, or disband. His Fleet in Edinburgh can retreat to Yorkshire or disband.
