Now recruiting. New France needed in a decent position.

Colonial with British Players - hapolley   (Jan 16, 2011, 4:17 pm)
I have six players signed up for a Civil Disorder rule game of Colonial. France gets one CD move in first Spring and fall move to improve his odds of getting at least one build.

One more player needed, anticipated retreats and builds and two week deadline!

Gents,

After someone bravely steps into DC341, "Decline & Fall" DC343 is next in line for a foolishly courageous Sultan. The Young Turk will inherit a position in which he possesses his three original SC, has a chance at nabbing an abandoned Russian SC, and will need to play the Austrian and Russian empires off each other to gain any advantage.

Check it out, and sign up!

open games - light brigade! - FuzzyLogic   (Oct 01, 2010, 8:04 pm)
It’s been a while since we’ve had to call on the
LB, but it seems we have a few games that are backing up looking for
players.  3 in fact!

Game 1
dc307, Orient Express
Here we need someone to pick up a 14-sc Russia in the cool
Asia map.  This one should go fast, it’s literally a solo in a bag
for an able diplomat.  Just add blood.

Game 2
dc331, Gunboat
Want something not so heavy on the dipping?  How about
a walk in the park, or a nice game of gunboat!  Matt’s game is
looking for a new 8-sc Egypt for a modern map.  Egypt is always a stalwart
in Modern, in gunboat doubly so.

Game 3
dc342, Imperial Margerine
Here we have Jerry’s wonderful Imperial map, and a
need for a second strong Russia in today’s list!  Look for this game
to be a pretty big commitment, as it is a world scale game.  Needs a
strong diplomat to carry a pretty good position thru the midgame here!

Join any game!  If you have taken a LB game recently,
don’t feel obligated, and if you haven’t, maybe it’s
time?  Remember that taking on the most replacement games in the LB does
earn you a spot on the DCI, the highly coveted DC Invitational yearly game.

Thanks!

DC332 Italy Replacement - cfisher6   (Sep 06, 2010, 4:21 am)

Any GM interested in starting a Colonial Game - garry.bledsoe   (Sep 03, 2010, 3:09 pm)
Not sure if you know or not but for a MAC you actually have to go and change the extension of the file when you download a .dpy file from the DC site. The Mac tries to do the "right-click" download as a .dpy.txt file and thus opens it with a document type of program. Rename the file without the .txt and you can open it in RP.

Hope that helps.

DC332 Italy Replacement - cfisher6   (Sep 02, 2010, 11:25 pm)
DC332 - Diplohabit is in need of an Italian player. Italy has 4 centers and the game is Standard, if someone's available we'd really appreciate it. If you can sign up before the deadline (24 hours from now) I'll gladly push it back a few days to give you time to acquaint yourself.

DC: Anarchy! Grab a Molitov cocktail and sign up! - dknemeyer   (Aug 28, 2010, 9:17 pm)
This looks like a cool variant Adam. If its still posted in a month or two - when I will be ready to take on a new game - I will happily play. Thanks for GM'ing it...

DC: Anarchy! Grab a Molitov cocktail and sign up! - AceRimmer   (Aug 26, 2010, 1:33 pm)
I am hosting a game of Anarchy (http://www.dipwiki.com/index.php?title=Anarchy).
What's so great about Anarchy?
1 - You get to choose your own home centers... how much more balance could you ask for?
2 - If you're looking for something a little different than the standard AEFGIRT game of Dip, Anarchy should be great. The map is familiar, but the powers are different -- if you've ever played Renaissance or Crowded, you know what a blast a few reassigned centers can be.
3 - I invite you to name your country and pick a color, too!
I am thinking to run this game with 8 players (4 centers each). But if demand is high, I'll run a 9- or 10-player game (3 centers each). There will probably be chaos builds unless players decide against it.
If you have any questions, please email me. You can also signup at the DC site:

Any GM interested in starting a Colonial Game - Sean2010   (Aug 25, 2010, 3:22 pm)
1). Yes, I've finally been able to download Realpolitik files, but I haven't been able to download files from diplomaticcorp yet.

2). Yes, Colonial had actually made rounds through the stores. I had gotten mine from "Hobby Town USA" before the store closed down, but this was before Hasbro had bought the rights from Avalon-Hill.

Have you actually installed the Realpolitik software? It is fairly straight forward. You go to Resources -> Downloads, download the RP 1.7, unzip it, then run the installation / setup file.

Yeah if you just open a .dpy game file without having RP installed, it will just be sorta jibberish. It's a textual coding of everything that's happened in a game, that Realpolitik can interpret.

DC 306 Sengoku - Kenshi777   (Aug 20, 2010, 9:06 am)
Urgent: due to complications from surgery for the GM. The game is very well advanced, and will likely not take long to resolve (for the GM). I must confess that the Oda position is something of a mercy position at this point however. Players have voiced a desire to continue. Anyone willing to assist would have my sincere gratitude.

Hello Dirk,

I never GMed before, and I haven't toyed with the alternative mapping tools to realpolitik files yet (due to my computer being unable to read realpolitik files, it comes up looking like computer giberish).
