Greetings One and All in the Lands of The Haven,
The start of the last decade saw the rumblings of war blossom into full conflict as almost every major power on our globe spread out to absorb neighboring minor powers. While every imaginable explanation was given for these actions (and some other author can tackle this topic), one group saw beyond the immediate conflict and looked ahead to when peace might be able to return to our lands.
Enter the Map Makers Alliance; better know to its members as the MMA. While it may be true that the small gentle folk of Hobbitonfieldville may have reached out to others to form this alliance, they alone would not have succeeded. The Dwarves, Magicians, Nomads, Rouges, and Wizards have, all in their own and important ways, contributed to the overwhelming success of the MMA. The MMA set out to achieve world peace, and are now revealing themselves to all of you, because we wish all the races of Haven to once again know peace. So come and join us all, sit at the table and enjoy the feast provided for all by the Hobbitonfieldville Chefs. (We promise to provide alternative menus for those with special dietary habits.)
This open letter is not to blow our own horn, but to instead offer evidence to the remaining powers that the time for peace is now, and to reassure the powers that once were, that they were valiant opponents with whom we greatly enjoyed our engagements (both conflict and correspondence) with. As it stands now, the MMA has an overwhelming advantage in strength. At the time of the writing of the letter the MMA collectively controls 79 of the 102 supply centers. While one or two remaining powers might be able to hold out a while longer, the end is obviously clear. To validate our claim we have included a world map for you to see that our claim is sincere.
The time for peace is now! Let the wars end. Vote to keep your lands and spare your people the continued horrors of war.
The MMA is officially proposing the following End Game Proposal:
A 6 way draw to include Dwarves, Hobbits, Magicians, Nomads, Rouges, and Wizards.
We understand that a few may oppose this, but we beg that you consider the time and effort put into every additional round of play, especially since the outcome to so very clear. The MMA will stick together, and to dig in to oppose us will only prolong the inevitable. With the proposed draw, all non MMA players currently still in play would survive with only a minor defeat. Think of how much better this sounds than elimination from this grand event. We offer an honorable end to the wars that plague the lands of Haven.
