PREV  Winter 1654 Adjudication:  NEXT

Hi guys,

the winter season worked out rather well for the Tsar, I'd say. No Swedish build in Abo and just one unthreateningly on Stockholm's western coast. Spain disbanding her Moroccan unit serving him that country on a silver platter. Less pleased might the Russian autocrat by another Austrian fleet making its appearance. Is that to be understood as a challenge to Russian naval supremacy in the Inner Sea?

In any case, we now have three powers at 14. Will any of these rulers make a bid for continental hegemony? If so, whose chances might be the best? Or are we looking at some draw outcome?

Cheers,

Charles

Hi guys,

our game is over! The three-way draw proposal passes.

Here I have a confession to make: The three-way proposal already got unanimous prior to the adjucated spring season (the same is not true for any prior season). To my chagrin, I forgot about Andras having told me earlier that he'd vote in favour of any future draw proposals and instructed me accordingly. Therefore the spring 1655 adjucation is invalid and not part of the official game record. Consider it a what-if peak at what would have happened without the draw having been accepted.

My sincere apologies for this muddle and dragging out the proceedings out for two additional days.

It has been a true pleasure having you guys on board for this playtest. Also: None of you NMRed! Congratulations to all.

Now let's write the final chapter of this game. Let's have your story! So please submit/broadcast your EOG report no later than Tuesday, 9 June 3 PM GMT. I'll then publish everything I have.

This being a playtest, I'd appreciate if you were to answer the following questions:

a) Would you consider your power too weak, too strong or about right?

b) What about the other powers? Any too weak or too strong?

c) Do you feel your power has enough options available? Or did you feel railroaded into a specific course of action?

d) The game used a 18 SC victory criterion. Were you happy with it? Or should it be any lower or higher?

e) What do you make of the latest changes implemented in v5.5? Are there any further changes you'd propose?

f) What's your overall take on the variant? Would you like to play again?

Thanks!

Charles
