PREV  Spring 1654 Adjudication:  NEXT

Hi guys,

here's my summary of this season's actions:

Austria: The Emperor has finally booted his Spanish cousins off the Italian peninsula. Meanwhile imperial troops edged northwards and even skirmished with Swedish regiments.

England: The Spanish leaving English home waters is a welcome development, no doubt. Will Cromwell now now go papist-bashing in Ireland?

France: Marseille is indefensible in face of the approaching Spaniards. Brest is equally threatened, which makes the French victory in the channel feel hollow.

Russia: The Tsar's sweep through Northern Africa is reminiscent of the Arabs' lightning conquests there in the 600s. Shall whole Maghreb be by the end of this year under Moscow's thumb?

Spain: Rapidly losing ground against the Austrians and Russians, the Most Catholic King is apparently seeking to compensate for such by taking French real estate. Marseille's dignitaries are already seeking terms for their surrender...

Sweden: Her defeat by French hands led to quite a "traffic jam". Meanwhile, the Swede might feel uneasy by Imperial manoeuvres...

The draw proposal failed, yet draws are all the rage, it seems. Two new proposals are now on the table. So let's have your votes!

Cheers,

Charles
