Good morning. I'm sorry to have kept you waiting, but I'm afraid my walk has become rather sillier recently, and so it takes me rather longer to get to work.

The walking in DC-161 is complete now, the Swedes marching their way into a 19 center solo victory. A big congratulations go to Mikael, as well as to Bruce, Josh and Clark who hang on through the Swedish tidal wave to pick up survivals. All end-game proposals failed to reach united consensus, but Mikael took matters into his own hands.
Through blood and fire, the Dark Ages game now comes to conclusion. My thanks to all players for their efforts in this one - I think we can easily say that it was a resounding success. Your end-game statements are highly encouraged, along with any comments you might have as to the layout of the map and the playability of the positions.

Congrats Mikael, you back-stabbing sob  .
As I recall from the start of this game we were play-testing this map and Trout wanted feedback on it when it was all over. This was a fun game but overall I'd have to say not the best balanced of maps. The map is very split between eastern and western forces with allies choices being very limited. While it did not occur in this game I can see huge potential for this map quickly turning into a two player slug-fest as initial alliances between the two halves of the map collapse leaving only a single powerful force on each side to oppose each other. In some areas around the map the oceans seem designed to create deadlocks with a minimum of forces necessary and little or no way to break the stalemate. Lastly, with only two inland supply centers on the map Armies are essentially optional. They're a good supplement, but I think a skilled tactician could make a very strong attempt at winning on this map without ever building a second Army.
One way or the other this was a well played game by all. I look forward to playing with all of you again sometime.

Hello again all,
I have a habit of re-reading the orders after adjucation just to make sure no blobs was made, and found that I made one.
The only change is the German support of the English army.
Next time Darryl please see to it that the frogmen do not try to support from Baltic Sea
His order was A Bal S A Pic - Bur, a typo but one that have concequences (might be hard of me to not allow it, but I know from experience that it is better to point it out so players re-read their orders before sending them in).

Good morning. I'm sorry to have kept you waiting, but I'm afraid my walk has become rather sillier recently, and so it takes me rather longer to get to work.

The walking in DC-161 is complete now, the Swedes marching their way into a 19 center solo victory. A big congratulations go to Mikael, as well as to Bruce, Josh and Clark who hang on through the Swedish tidal wave to pick up survivals. All end-game proposals failed to reach united consensus, but Mikael took matters into his own hands.
Through blood and fire, the Dark Ages game now comes to conclusion. My thanks to all players for their efforts in this one - I think we can easily say that it was a resounding success. Your end-game statements are highly encouraged, along with any comments you might have as to the layout of the map and the playability of the positions.
This was truly a pleasure to GM folks. Thank you all for taking a part in it. Congrats once again to Mikael, and thanks for everyone for being such a wicked bunch of savages. =P

Hey folks,
As you can see from the subject we have our game number which is DC 212. Please include DC 212 in your subject line of all emails related to this game. I have a filter set up to go into a specific folder so that way I will never miss an email. Country assignments are listed below along with the players and their email addresses. If you didn't receive your first or second choices I'm sorry about that. But I tried to give everyone their first 3 choices. I hope everyone is satisfied with their assignment.
If you would like to CC me on any correspondences or anything at all please feel free. I like to see how the other players are interacting and the different way each person plays. If you do not feel comfortable with this I completely understand. I do not have a set of house rules for you so please refer to the DC website rules. I however do have a few rules of my own. I do allow White and Grey Press and any press sent to me will be included in the next adjudication. For those who do not know what those are: White press is: Press you send me and you want the other players to know who sent it. Grey press is anonymous and your name or country will not be mentioned in the adjudication. I also do NOT allow any type of Black Press. Black Press is impersonating the GM or another Player. If you are caught doing either of those you will be removed from the game and I will let the mods know. Also please don't NMR, not only does the NMR affect when I adjudicate the game but if you NMR too many times I may have to remove you from the game and if I have to do that it affects any realtions or plans you may have had with the other players and they will have to start all over again.
