DC138 Winter Of Our Discontent - Spring 2008 - She... - test_gm (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am) |
For the record, New York did not sacrifice Nova Scotia in order to gain naval position.
Correctly stated, New York sacrificed his entire game to fight over Nova Scotia, which was pointed out would eventually fall back anyways.

You crack open the Spring 2008 Fortune Cookie and find this bizarre promise within: A starship ride has been promised to you by a galactic wizard. Hmm... That's one to think about. =)
But, as is always the case, someone is being taken for a ride - the only question is who? Florida throws up a fiery defense as the east and west trade centers in the Southlands. Meanwhile, New York sacrifices Nova Scotia in order to gain naval position. This one is definitely still a knife-fight.. =)
Four retreats are required - one each from California, Western Canada, New York and Florida. Deadline for the Summer 2008 retreats will be set for Thursday, Apr 24th (11:59 PM GMT).
If you spot a goof then shout out out! Cheers!

DC 160 Spring 1904 Correction #2 - test_gm (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am) |
Ok, This one was not totally my fault, David and his Wein!!
So this does not affect any other units, but Vienna moved to Tyrollia, not Venice.
So Italy still has an Army in Venice.
Any one else? Bueller? Bueller?....

DC138 Winter Of Our Discontent - Spring 2008 - She... - test_gm (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am) |
“Does any of it matter now?”
Yes
“Really?”
Yes, really
“but does any of it matter... really??”
YES – REALLY
Any further questions?
Hmm. Here’s one. If Nova Scotia was reclaimed in the woods – and nobody was around to hear it, would it matter then?

You crack open the Spring 2008 Fortune Cookie and find this bizarre promise within: A starship ride has been promised to you by a galactic wizard. Hmm... That's one to think about. =)
But, as is always the case, someone is being taken for a ride - the only question is who? Florida throws up a fiery defense as the east and west trade centers in the Southlands. Meanwhile, New York sacrifices Nova Scotia in order to gain naval position. This one is definitely still a knife-fight.. =)

Wow, Y'all are just harsh.
Well, I am off to visit my allies on a big boat (California and Mexico) so you losers can sit and vent while I soak up some sun (as I chase my 2 yr old and 3.5 yr old daughters all over a really big boat )
I have no one covering me, my very detailed contingency orders will see Fla rolled back to Miami by the time I get through customs.
See Y'all on Cinco de Mayo!

Our military recently voted on whether to continue the fight, and I believe the recount will show that they want to continue. That said, enjoy your vacation, but we will not go so easily (if that is what the vote recount shows).
I have heard that the banana milkshakes in Santo Domingo aren't nearly as good as Havana's. Is it true?

DC176 - Austria - Player resigned - test_gm (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am) |
The current Ruler of Austria has decided to resign after disappointing results and expectations that were not met. O yeah
This news was brought to me this morning and was totally unexpected and honestly a big disappointment.
His units would now go into Civil Disorder off-setting the delicate balance you had all created . .... I hear you.
Hold your emotions though... we have found someone that will step in.
Former Trout has offered to take up the role of Emperor of Austria.
He will introduce himself to you later today.
And due to his quick response we can continue with the game without any delays.
Your GM

GGS 1264 / DC110 - Spring 1872 Extension - test_gm (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am) |
Gentlefolks of the Imperial Bent,
By player request, the Spring 1872 deadline has been extended to Friday Apr 25th (11:59 PM GMT).
Please note that this is many straight turns in a row that have been extended at the last minute like this. This will be the last time I will grant such a request. I totally feel as though my leniency is being abused here - and considering the caliber of players that we have in this game I frankly don't see the need for it. PLEASE SUBMIT PRELIMINARY ORDERS. This will negate all such last-minute extension requests.
Cheers!!

- a US / Dutch / French victory proposal
- a DIAS proposal
Let me hear your boogaloo. Yay or nay, please - by Friday Apr 25th (11:59 PM GMT).

Don't forget, the official deadline for fall 1904 orders is today at 23:59 GMT. I plan to adjudicate tomorrow morning (US Central), so you have about 18 hours left to send in your orders. At least one power has yet to submit orders, so please get them in! Thanks.

Mike,
How much rent is Andrew charging you for your temporary occupation of Nova Scotia?

Yeah...Fletch just threw the game to Trout. I assure you that I will spend the few remaining units I have to Trout and make sure that I attack Fletch. That was really pretty dumb. There is NO WAY that you can get a part of a two-way draw...what were you thinking?

DC 134 - WOT - Fall 1004 Results - test_gm (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am) |
The Midlands NMR, but it does not really make a difference as any moves they could have ordered would have resulted the same way as two of their units are crushed and their SCs taken by a combination of the Westlands, Whitecloaks, and Seafolk.
The Westlands also lose a unit as the Borderlanders force their way into Braem Wood.
With all those disbands, no one has to retreat, so we can move straight to the Builds:
The Borderlands and Whitecloaks both get one, while the Westlands get 2.
Adjudication when I return, Monday, May 5th (at) 9PM.
