I'm sitting in a hotel room in Breckenridge while my wife is cooking breakfast. I make up for the email & Dip time by letting her choose the activities for the day or the TV/movie to watch at night. Yeah, I give up watching a lot of sports, but then she falls asleep to the movie and I can check the scores.

DC428 Fall 1903 Orders - Zoterik (Jul 06, 2012, 10:53 pm) |

Austria holds his own against Italy and retakes Trieste, while Turkey gains a center from Russia, who gains a center from Germany, who gains a center from England. Mike would you mind generating this on a new map? I am having a hard
enough time ordering my units around without having imaginary units to keep
track of.

I'm not much interested in games where I have a fair percentage of centers but never receive any substantive press. I can't imagine anyone else is either?!?

Subject: DC406: Fall 08 Retreats!
Hi all,
Retreats are in early! Seems that good planning allows for quick decisions. Whether those decisions are right or wrong remains to be determined.
Reminds me a bit of the US holiday we in the States are about to celebrate. The Americans planned well, had a good purpose to fight for. The Brits, on the other hand, didn't take the revolt seriously, thought they were putting down a small revolution, and didn't bring in the big guns until too late. We all know how well THAT strategy worked.
Retreats, Fall 08:
-------------------------
Gnomes: A Newa River - Elephant Graveyard
Ogres: A Cyriss - Moominvalley
Look at this -- for once, everyone still in the game has either a build or a disband; no one is sitting on the sidelines just watching.
Adjustment Deadline is Tuesday, July 3rd. Let's get them in before the holiday, otherwise there'll be *explosions*.
Americans:

Jeff, from one poli-wonk to another: How does Roberts justify not allowing Congress to regulate not doing something but allowing them to tax not owning something?

Subject: DC406: Fall 08 Retreats! Hi all,Retreats are in early! Seems that good planning allows for quick decisions. Whether those decisions are right or wrong remains to be determined.Reminds me a bit of the US holiday we in the States are about to celebrate. The Americans planned well, had a good purpose to fight for. The Brits, on the other hand, didn't take the revolt seriously, thought they were putting down a small revolution, and didn't bring in the big guns until too late. We all know how well THAT strategy worked. Betreff: Re: DC406: Fall 08 Retreats! Just out of curiousity, is there any actual "diplomacy" going on any more, or have the draw participants sorted themselves out and are simply grinding through to the finish? I'm not much interested in games where I have a fair percentage of centers but never receive any substantive press. I can't imagine anyone else is either?!? Oh Crap!!! I just realized that I cut-n-pasted the orders to change,
then copied the rest of the orders (so you had a complete set) and NEVER
WENT BACK AND CHANGED the originals! Ugh!

DC406: Fall 08 Retreats! - laxrulz777 (Jul 03, 2012, 2:43 pm) |
John Roberts is the chief justice of the supreme court (USA) who just ordered a very contentious ruling that really thread the needle of what is considered constitutional. Thereby angering both Republicans (by upholding the health care law in question) and Democrats (by calling it a tax). If you're a political wonk (like me it's been real fun here for the past week.

Who is John Roberts?
And btw - for the record with the original question, this is the most press I've had for this game in weeks.
