DC412 - Winter 1904 Results - Corrino (Feb 17, 2012, 3:42 pm) |
Hi Players,
Thanks to everyone for getting their adjustments in early so I could take care of this tonight.
The flavor of the day is definitely ARMIES. Add 5, take away 2. Looks like we can look forward to more ground-n-pound in the DC412 playground.
Austria:
Remove A Ukraine
England:
Build A Liverpool
Build A London
Germany:
Build A Kiel
Russia:
Remove A Livonia
Turkey:
Build A Ankara
Build A Constantinople
NEXT DEADLINE: Spring 1905 orders are due Monday, February 20, at 18:00 EST. That would be Presidents' Day, for me and my fellow Yanks.
Finally, let me say farewell and thank you to Ed and Joe. I appreciate it's no fun getting pig-piled from the very start, but you both acquitted yourselves well by sticking with it and continuing to fight until the end. My normal practice is to leave eliminated players on the distribution list, but if you prefer not to get DC412 mail anymore just let me know and I'll remove you.
Cheers,
Chris

Hold on! Rewind. Your GM remains omniscient but reveals his fallibility.
Remember that fleet we saw in Ionian Sea? No you don't. It's not there. Nothing to see in the Ionian. See? Si.

Episode 9 - "The Patchwork Bear and The Year of the Witch"
In whichThe Russian Empire is carved into four pieces of four different colors. The ArchDuck leaves this world for (we hope) a better place -- but not without first gaining a small measure of revenge on the one who most hastened his departure.Italian forces reach the Atlantic, not through the Gates of Gibraltar, but via the verdant fields of Gascony. Speaking of fertile French landscapes, I do believe that those are the Kaiser's boys in Burgundy. Meet you for lunch in Paris? The Blue Witch of the West claims her piece of the bear, and now can claim
ownership of
40% of the map. Of course, most of that is water, but still...The Yellow Witch of the East now owns all the territories of the Black Sea, having claimed Sevastopol from her good friend the Tsar. No doubt the intent was simply to deny sanctuary to the ArchDuck, but still...
RETREATS:
German A Bohemia is auto-retreated to Silesia, the only available space. The Kaiser may, if he wishes, change his retreat to OTB when he submits his adjustment orders.

DC 409: Fall 1904 - AceRimmer (Feb 16, 2012, 2:44 pm) |
Really, I have done my best to help you guys avoid this predicament... yet, all the same, here is where we find ourselves: armed to the teeth at the stalemate line. In a regular game, I'd say to myself, "Oh well. You try something, but sometimes it just doesn't work out. I guess I'll settle for a five-way draw." But this? *This* is the Winter Blitz. Two rounds to stamp your mark on the world. Even a solo + five-way draw is probably not enough to get you into the prize circle. In short, this is not the time to complacently settle into the defensive trenches. This is the time to crack skulls and betray your best friend for a piece of ground too small to park a Mini in.
The proposed FGT fails.
There are two dislodged units, but courteous as you gents are, you dare not trouble me with retreats... so both dislodged units must disband. Between the disbands and the final dissolution of England, there are three builds due (there would be more, but Germany has units parked in his home centers):
Austria: Supp 5 Unit 5 Build 0
France: Supp 9 Unit 8 Build 1
Germany: Supp 9 Unit 6 Build 1
Italy: Supp 4 Unit 4 Build 0
Russia: Supp 1 Unit 1 Build 0
Turkey: Supp 6 Unit 5 Build 1
Submit orders by the usual time tomorrow.

To those who've sent in orders: sorry for the delay.
To those who haven't: come on. I'm waiting for more than one set of
orders. The deadline is 18:00 GMT. The rules of the tournament give
me a four hour window after that by which I must adjudicate and I've
tried to be as lenient as possible. However, I will adjudicate before
the end of the four hour window tonight. The deadline is 18:00 GMT.
