If two sides get a breakthru, is it really a breakthru at all?
Turks manage to destroy the English army in Tuscany, but the English / French destroy the Turk fleet in North Africa. Who did better?
Both get a build...
England +1
Turkey +1
But not for any real gain, just to replace units lost in battle. Let's get those ASAP, but officially by tomorrow (Friday) 3pm Central.
Enjoy!

Indeed everything failed. There will be 3 new draws for you all to vote down next spring - a 3-way, an ET, and an FT. I think tho I may require each no vote be submitted in a unique language to be accepted as this voting every year on the same things seems a bit silly. I'm beginning to think you all work for the Illinios government.

We have an end-game proposal for a three-way draw. Austria, Italy, Russia. All others survive. I suspect this one has an excellent chance to pass (*cough*). I'd just proclaim the draw outright, but my rules are inflexible, and we have to trudge through the bureaucratic formality of it all. Votes are due with the Spring 1909 orders.
It's a quirky little season. Communication seems to be off a titch in the EFG alliance (witness the untaken support from England's A Warsaw; Austria's army in Galicia can breathe a sigh of relief). Still, England retakes Moscow. And France retakes Belgium (from England). And Germany retakes Holland (from France). So, Germany gets a build.
Russia sits on his hands. All units hold. In so doing, he takes a center from Italy (which as mentioned above, is taken in turn by England and handed on down to Germany). Russia also owns the only retreat. Army Moscow retreats to Sevastopol (there are no other non-disbanding options).
The Italian orders appear to be for parallel-universe Italy. One in which he has legitimate sea power. Normally, I would ask him to re-submit orders, but short of stabbing Austria, there is really very little he can do with those units in Tuscany and Rome. Therefore, I'm going to adjudicate with the set of orders as is.
So where does this leave us? Winter 1908. Orders due tomorrow at 10:00 a.m. CST. Germany builds a unit. Italy disbands a unit. The rest of you can work on your rap renditions of:

France is out of town, and has asked for an extension of any deadlines following the Fall moves. I am therefore postponing the deadline to allow for this
lack of Internet access. I am hoping he can get his Winter disband in at some stage before next week! Otherwise I will set the deadline for next Tuesday as he requested.

Everyone,
My apologies, as you all know I have not been talking to any of you, has been a week of chaos on my end. Adam gracisiouly allowed me to send in orders late but explained he would not grant an extension and why, which I am perfectly understanding of. Since he granted late orders without an extension I determined that meant I should not talk to anyone. I have sent my orders in this morning.
Again apologies to all.

It seems that Mark is still tangled up with other issues, because he has not yet sent a retreat. That's fine.
If you want to get a jump start on Winter adjustments, you can (though if you prefer to wait for retreats, I fully understand). Anyway, those adjustments are: two builds for Austria and maybe a disband for Germany. |

Hi Players,
It has been said that all roads lead to Rome, and it looks like Rome is where this game will be decided. With Venice a "gimme" for the Sultan's forces, and the stalemate line solidly set from Munich to St. Pete, it would seem that Rome is the SC that will make or break the Turkish solo bid.
RETREATS: None
NEW END-OF-GAME PROPOSALS (because?):
1. 2-way draw including England and Turkey
2. 2-way draw including France and Turkey
NEXT DEADLINE: Fall 1916 orders are due Thursday, July 14, by 18:00 EDT.
Cheers,
Chris

dc384 Winter 05 adjudication - draw proposal - jerome777 (Jul 11, 2011, 3:20 pm) |
Hi everyone,
Here's your Winter 05 adjudication:
Austria:
Remove A Tyrolia
Remove A Bohemia
Remove F Eastern Mediterranean
France:
Build F Brest
Italy:
Build A Venice
Build A Rome
Build F Naples
Russia:
Build A Moscow
Turkey:
Remove A Ankara
We also have our first draw proposal of the game. For those that have not come across end-game proposals before, you must all vote for or against the draw proposal together
with your moves for the Spring 05 season. All remaining players must vote in favour for the end-game proposal to succeed, any abstentions count as a 'no' vote. Therefore, all six players must vote 'yes'. The vote is anonymous, as is the end-game proposal itself. If the end-game proposal succeeds, it is announced before the Spring 05 moves are adjudicated. The deadline for the vote is the same as the deadline for the Spring 05 moves, and you can change your vote anytime you like up to the move deadline.
The end-game proposal is for a three way draw including France, Italy and Russia. If carried, these three players will be credited with a 'draw', and the other three players will be credited with a 'survival'.
The deadline for your Spring 05 moves, and your EGP votes, is Sunday 17 July 2000GMT, by which point I'll be a year older - it's
my birthday Saturday, so I'll expect some virtual beer to be submitted along with your moves and votes...
Enjoy the hot weather everyone,
Jerome
