dc371: Fa06 Results! - dknemeyer   (May 17, 2011, 5:53 pm)
Gents,

It would appear the generals have turned the war over to their children, as a dizzying array of void, invalid, failed and bounced moves resonate from one end of the Med to the other! This may have been the most futile turn in Dip that I've ever seen whilst all players are, presumably, still playing. I'm not trying to pick on you guys: it's just an odd confluence of orders!

No retreats, and the only center to change hands all year is Crete shifting from Grecian to Egyptian control. That means a build for Egypt, a disband for Greece. Get those in by Thursday - I will adjudicate as soon as I get orders unless told otherwise - and we can press on to the spring!

Dirk

I am on a business trip this week so when I publish may be volatile. Anytime between 23:00 GMT today and 06:00 GMT tomorrow is a possibility. The deadline remains the same. However, you can invoke your single 6 hour grace period and submit orders after 22:00 GMT today.
Good luck!

I reiterate that I voted yes on the draw. So one of your "allies" isn't apparently content for a three-way. The turkish embassy is ready to forgive all wrongs and work with any of you to help you avoid being a casualty of one of your "allies."

The EFG 3-way draw
fails, for this season.  But, surprise,
we have another EFG 3-way EGP for your consideration next season.

Please remember to
include your vote with your orders for the Fall season.  Also, please remember, the lack of a vote is considered
a vote *against* the proposal.

I reiterate that I voted yes on the draw. So one of your "allies" isn't apparently content for a three-way. The turkish embassy is ready to forgive all wrongs and work with any of you to help you avoid being a casualty of one of your "allies."

GM's remarks:

The EFG 3-way draw
fails, for this season.  But, surprise,
we have another EFG 3-way EGP for your consideration next season.

Please remember to
include your vote with your orders for the Fall season.  Also, please remember, the lack of a vote is considered
a vote *against* the proposal.

DC376 WB11 Rd 2 - Spring 1908 Results - Corrino   (May 16, 2011, 7:10 pm)
Good evening, everyone.

Welcome back to the beautiful mess that is DC376.  As I look at this western half of this board, I am reminded of nothing so much as a game of Shift Left that I played a couple of years back.  I am pretty sure that is the only other time I've seen such a mix-up of differently-colored units all packed into the middle of the board.  I also have to mention have to point out the particularly interesting distribution of Russia SC's.

By contrast, the eastern half of the board is looking awfully staid in just yellow and green.  Are you others going to just sit still for this?  Long live chromatic chaos!

RETREATS:
German army Holland has no retreats and is disbanded.
German army Kiel has just one place it can go,
and thus is auto-retreated to Ruhr.  The Kaiser may choose to disband the unit by notifying me by 18:00 tomorrow.

NEXT DEADLINE:  Fall 1908 orders are due Thursday, May 19, at 18:00 Eastern time.

Cheers,
Chris

Orders as resolved.  Looks right, sleep tight.  Looks wrong, bang gong... and then tell me.

Are these retreats right?  If so, I have seriously mis-remembered the
map.

Likely 1 wk missed after this 1 due to someone being away. I know how crushed you are about someone delaying things but listen to this: a player actually asked not to move too fast ahead with adjs as was still negotiating! Well past the 10 minutes or less allowed & no negotiations as per rules so very shocking Wink Map link looks fine this wk. http://diplomaticcorp.com/game_page.php?game_id=dc383

dc380 spring 1908 results! - coryfucius   (May 16, 2011, 5:58 pm)
Italy sails into Spain, with assistance from both Austria and Turkey - Austria sacrifices a unit in the process.  Not much movement elsewhere.

There are two units dislodged, but only one survives into the summer:

The Austrian army in Burgundy has no valid retreats and is destroyed.

The English fleet in Spain(sc) may retreat to Portugal or OTB.

Poul, in order to keep the game moving along, I'll go ahead and order that retreat to Portugal.  If you would rather retreat OTB instead, please let me know.

Fall 1908 orders will be due Thursday 5/19 at 3pm Central (US) / 21:00 GMT.  Once again, we have a DIAS proposal - please cast your vote along with your orders.

Thanks, everyone!

Cory
