dc380 fall 1906 results! - coryfucius   (May 05, 2011, 5:43 pm)
Once again, I could not locate orders from France...

England pushes Austria out of Munich, but is unable to retake Moscow, which falls under Turkish control.  Italy takes control of Marseilles, but loses Naples to Turkey.  Austria retains control of Greece as the Turkish army heads back to Albania.

A total of 4 units are dislodged, so there will be an autumn retreat phase:

The Austrian army in Munich may retreat to Bohemia, Silesia, or OTB.

The French army in Gascony has no valid retreats and is destroyed.

The French army in Tyrolia may retreat to Bohemia, Piedmont, Venice, or OTB.

The Italian fleet in Tyrrhenian Sea may retreat to Tunis, Tuscany, or OTB.

Please note that, since there is more than one valid retreat option for the army in Tyrolia - even though it would be foolish to retreat to Bohemia or Piedmont - the GM can't make the choice, France must actually submit an order.

Winter adjustments will be as follows:

Austria:  remove 1  (no change if retreat OTB)

  England:  build 2

France:  remove 1 if retreat to Venice, otherwise eliminated

Italy:  no change  (remove 1 if France retreats to Venice)

  Turkey:  build 2

Both the autumn retreats and winter adjustments will be due tomorrow, Friday 5/6 at 3pm Central (US) / 21:00 GMT.  Thanks!

Cory

Deadling 9pm GMT tonight, 5 May. If you've not had a "received" from
me then I've probably not got your orders.
Those of us in Britain: please remember that you currently only need
to put an X next to your choice in the election and referendum.
Actually, wouldn't a Diplomacy based version of PR be quite
interesting? At least then the candidates would actually talk to us
... and be honest after the backstab.

Austria and Italy have missed two consecutive major turns with no moves turned in so they plunge into Civil Disorder.  From here on their units will hold, and disband if dislodged.  Now we officially have ourselves a 4-player game -- a whole new challenge!  You are the four who have been playing all along anyways, so I think it was inevitable the game would come down to this.  Smile  Builds by Thursday 5/5, 3pm Central!

dc380 spring and summer 1906 results! - coryfucius   (May 03, 2011, 9:05 pm)
Sorry it's a little later in the day than usual, our state Senate decided to draft its own version of a state budget this afternoon, so I have been doing actual real-life work here at the office...  Even with the delay, I still could not find orders for France, whose centers are overrun by English and Italian units.

England advances an army into Ruhr, but faces a setback in the east as Turkey, with an assist from Austria, marches into Moscow.  Austria's attack on Kiel fails, as the English fleet provides uncontested support.  Turkey grabs the vacated Greece and also sails into an undefended Naples.

There is one unit dislodged:

The English army in Moscow may retreat to St. Petersburg or OTB.

In order to get the game back on schedule, since there is only one valid on-board retreat, I will take the liberty of ordering the summer 1906 retreat to St. Petersburg.  Poul, please let me know quickly if you want to retreat OTB instead.

Fall 1906 orders will be due on the normal Blitz schedule, Thursday 5/5 at 3pm Central (US) / 21:00 GMT.  Thanks, everyone!

Cory

dc371: Fa05 Results! - dknemeyer   (May 03, 2011, 4:33 pm)
Hi Everyone,

This is indeed an interesting game we're playing. Rome heads west with authority and helps former antagonist Greece return to a spot as mighty contender. Meanwhile Carthage keeps its middle position even while sending forces on apparent training exercises in the bowels of central Africa. Persia appears shattered while Egypt seemingly flies under the radar, even as they ascend to a tie for the lead.

No retreats as the dislodged Persian unit had nowhere to go. Build and removals toward the end of this email; they are due Thursday!

Please note I am on a business trip Thursday and don't expect to adjudicate until very late. I will be on the U.S. west coast (GMT +Cool and likely won't process until midnight or later on Thursday. Just FYI.

Enjoy!
