A Dip Read - THC   (Mar 21, 2020, 4:55 am)
I've been writing a Dip blog for a few weeks now and thought I'd drop an advert here. Take a look at The Embassy. It's all my point of view about Dippy stuff, though, so be warned...

I've also just launched a new Dip zine: PERFIDIOUS. I'm looking for contributors, but give issue 1 a look. You can subscribe here: theembassy.dip(at)gmail.com

Winter Blitz does not have enough players for even one game!
May I suggest playing my variant were players switch countries every 2 years just to get something underway with the title Winter Blitz!

Offering a new way to play Diplomacy - Slangers   (Jan 09, 2020, 10:11 am)
Dear Diplomaticcorp community- I am launching a new eZine which offers the opportunity to play standard Diplomacy and Intimate Diplomacy at a slightly more leisurely pace. The intention is to run games to a 3-4 week turnaround and to go to a model where orders are made for the major turns and players have to order conditional orders for retreats and adjustments.

If you're a Diplomacy veteran and used to play through the postal zines, it will be a bit like that, but without the snail-mail! Issue one of Last Orders! is available here https://sway.office.com/FDpAl3mAe9sxXcWM?ref=Link and you are all very welcome to subscribe and play!
Best wishes
Simon

Greetings Skeleton!

There is always a game open to join on this site- if you go to the Games tab and click on Open Games, the first on the list is always a game of standard Diplomacy as opposed to an exotic variant.

If you've never played before I'd suggest that you read the rules (see https://media.wizards.com/2015/downloads/ah/diplomacy_rules.pdf). A game is a long commitment- probably 3-4 months to complete. If you want to know more there are plenty of folk around who can advise you.

This game needs a replacement Russia. The game is held at Fall 1902, with Russia not in the greatest position.

Replacement Germany needed for DC577 - Slangers   (Nov 24, 2019, 2:40 pm)
Unfortunately we have had a German drop out in DC577. The game is set at Spring 1902 with no obvious alliances. Everything to play for. Let me know if you want to step in.

Intimate is a great 2 player variant of the great game. See the rules at http://www.dipwiki.com/index.php?title=Intimate_Diplomacy

It's oh so quiet... - Slangers   (Sep 22, 2019, 1:21 pm)
There are lots of games available to sign up for at the moment and not many players coming forward. We have standard Diplomacy (5 needed), Blitzkrieg (4 needed), Sail Ho! (4 needed), the mysteries of Haven (9 needed) and the Intimate Diplomacy tournament (3 needed). If you want to get under way with something without having to wait, we can start the next game of Intimate with just one more player).

Head on over to the Open Games page (under Games tab) and sign up for some entertainment as the dark nights draw in.

Who wants to play Intimate? - Slangers   (Sep 08, 2019, 4:23 am)
Game three of the tournament just needs one player to start, so sign up!

The first two games are very evenly matched, with England v France in game one, and Russia v Germany in game two.

Intimate is a great variant for 2 players. It moves fast, is well-balanced and a lot of fun.
