Subject: dc366 F09 Results - Italian NMR, Italian Elimination
Date: Fri, 11 Mar 2011 00:09:10 -0500

Ciao Italy

Three for the Finish

New EGP on the Table

A Chink in the French/English Alliance?

Guys,

Pretty straight-forward turn with some interesting twists (i.e. England taking Holland). We bid farewell to our NMR'd friend Benjy and we are down to three. We actually had two retreats which only each had one option:

A Holland retreats to Ruhr

A Moscow retreats to Livonia

If France or England wish, these can also go OTB and would allow each country to add one to their build adjustments below. Winter adjustments are:

Italy remove 1 - uh. yeah. no order necessary

England build 2

Turkey no change

France no change

We also have an EGP!!!! The EGP is for a 3-way draw (EFT). Vote on this with your Spring10 orders.

Winter tomorrow at 6pm, Spring Monday at 6pm CDT (note the change to Daylight Savings Time...)

Garry

dc358 autumn and winter 1909 results - coryfucius   (Mar 11, 2011, 4:34 pm)
Germany retreats to Finland and gives up a fleet.  Austria raises another army.  Both Italy and Turkey waive their builds.  And not surprisingly, England is still absent.

Spring 1910 orders will be due Monday 3/14 at 3pm Central (US) / 21:00 GMT.  The 4-way AGIT endgame proposal is back yet again, please be sure to cast your vote along with your orders.  Thanks!

dc360 w09 builds! - FuzzyLogic   (Mar 11, 2011, 1:13 pm)
Easy set of builds to run with only 2 adjustments...

England: Build A London

France: Remove F Picardy

And with the changing of these two units, comes the changing of the GM guard as well.  Fredrik will be back from vacation Monday so you're back in his hands!

There is also a new 4-way EGRT draw proposed for this spring.

Due: 1900 GMT (note time springs ahead in the US this weekend so I'm not going to speculate on an equivalent US time and we'll just leave it at 1900 GMT.

Enjoy,

-mike

Turkey I do not see that I have a build from you!

Russia goes into Civil Disorder.  The last unit will sit there in Warsaw until dislodged, and then disband.

But we move on!  6 active players remain.  What's next?  Find out next week!  Since it's already Friday, I'm going to push the next deadline a bit from our Tuesday schedule.  Spring 03 due Wed 3/16, 3pm Central.

Enjoy,

DC 359 Winter 09 Adjucation - untitled36   (Mar 11, 2011, 8:57 am)
Pretty easy today. England builds A Lon. Remember the time change, which makes our deadline Monday at 8:00 AM CST (1:00 PM GMT). I think.... In any case the 8:00 CST is correct. Smile

Thanks all!

*Italian Forces Enter Trieste*
*England Army Vacations in Berlin*
*Stalemate Continues in Ionean*

Hey all,

Quite a dramatic turn! Turkey simple has too many borders to defend, and the past few seasons have been a bit of a guessing game. Until this season, he managed to generally guess right. But now Italian forces swarm into Trieste while the French claim Galacia. And England finally reenters Moscow. England also lands in Berlin, which may prove interesting as well.

With these setbacks for the Turks, two retreats were needed, but I took the initiative and retreated them to their only open province (Gal-rum and Tri-ser). Obviously, they can retreat OTB if desired.

A EF draw is also proposed. Votes due with Fall orders on Thursday at 8:00 AM CST (1:00 PM GMT). If Turkey wishes to retreat either or both armies off the board, the deadline to let me know is tomorrow at 8:00 AM CST.

John

dc366 F09 Results - Italian NMR, Italian Eliminati... - garry.bledsoe   (Mar 10, 2011, 11:09 pm)
Ciao Italy

Three for the Finish

New EGP on the Table

A Chink in the French/English Alliance?

Guys,

Pretty straight-forward turn with some interesting twists (i.e. England taking Holland). We bid farewell to our NMR'd friend Benjy and we are down to three. We actually had two retreats which only each had one option:

A Holland retreats to Ruhr

A Moscow retreats to Livonia

If France or England wish, these can also go OTB and would allow each country to add one to their build adjustments below. Winter adjustments are:

Italy remove 1 - uh. yeah. no order necessary

England build 2

Turkey no change

France no change

We also have an EGP!!!! The EGP is for a 3-way draw (EFT). Vote on this with your Spring10 orders.

Winter tomorrow at 6pm, Spring Monday at 6pm CDT (note the change to Daylight Savings Time...)

Garry

dc358 fall 1909 results! - coryfucius   (Mar 10, 2011, 5:55 pm)
First things first, both the 4-way and the 3-way draw proposals fail, so the game continues...

Germany continues to lose ground, yet he forgoes the opportunity to pick up Edinburgh.  Austria gains St. Pete, Turkey takes Berlin, and the Italian and Turkish navies rotate from the south coast to the north coast of Spain.

There is one autumn retreat order due:

The German army in St. Petersburg can retreat to Finland or OTB.

Winter adjustments will be as follows:

  Austria:  build 1

  England:  build 1

Germany:  remove 1  (no change if retreat OTB)

  Italy:  build 1

  Turkey:  build 1

Since both the autumn retreat and winter adjustment orders are due at the same time tomorrow, Friday 3/11 at 3pm Central (US) / 21:00 GMT, you may submit conditional builds based on the German autumn retreat.  For example, your winter build order may read, "If Germany retreats to Finland, build X; if Germany retreats OTB, build Y."

Thanks!

Cory

Hey all,

I had a hard time thinking of clever stuff to write this time around, since really the only move that "mattered" was France taking Bohemia. I suppose it's perhaps also woth pointing out that England vacated Kiel and that Germany is truly and officially eliminated, but I don't think either of those was terribly unexpected. Oh, and all draws fail, so we keep on keepin' on.

England gains a Build from Warsaw, so that will be due tomorrow at 8:00 AM CST (2:00 PM GMT). It's also worth noting that this weekend the time changes (at least in daylight savings time America, not sure how the rest of the world does it). Those time change things always mess with my head, but I think that means that for the spring deadline on monday it'll be 8:00 AM CST, but I suppose that makes it 1:00 PM GMT?

Winter Blitz - 9 years in - metalwarlord   (Mar 10, 2011, 10:05 am)

I am looking forward to the next round except I am unavailable from 19
March until 29 March.

Hey everyone, the Blitz is chugging along and we're getting ready to start
Round 2.

So far we have two definite front-runners, with Jean-Luc and Matt both
scoring solos in their first games. 3 other games have ended in various
draws, and 5 games are still going strong as of year 09. See the full
standings online!

Note that while round 1 has ~no hard cutoff~ round 2 will begin, and in many
cases overlap the existing round 1 games. The following schedule is fixed,
and is not dependent on the round 1 games being finished:

Round 2 lineups will be announced on Monday March 21.
Round 2 spring 01 deadline will be the following Monday March 28.

So to summarize the coming weeks:
Week of March 6-12: Round 1 Year 09
Week of March 13-19: Round 1 Year 10
Week of March 20-26: Round 1 Year 11 and Round 2 Year 01.

There were some abandons in round 1. These players will not be entered in
round 2.
If for any reason ~you~ wish to not play round 2, please let me know.

Thank you!
