The only reason I moved to Trieste was so that you would open
the adjudication with "From Stettin in the Baltic to Trieste in the Adriatic, an iron curtain has descended across the continent." Damnation!

Hi All,
Sorry for my game exiting NMR, but the handwriting was on the wall. Good luck all in this round and the next.
My EOG comments are fairly straightforward. Stabbed from the start by Italy (no blame, valid strategy) I never could bring muself to trust him at later points. But more importantly I should have trusted Turkey instead of Russia at the critical moment later on.
All said though I was happy to have survived as long as I did with an Italian army in Tri in the Spring of 1901. It was fun trying to make my way in that position.
And of course many thanks to Robert for his solid GMing. Great job.

Plenty of movement this time, as well as some trading of centers between Italy and Turkey. Germany sails into MAO unopposed, as Italy advances to the Irish Sea. Turkey marches into Silesia, and Austria moves to Bohemia. Amazingly, the completely absent England still lives.
No retreats are due, so we move directly to the winter phase. Winter adjustments will be due as follows:
Germany: build 2 (banked from 1906)
Italy: build 1
The winter 1907 adjustment orders are due tomorrow, Friday 2/25 at 3pm Central (US) / 21:00 GMT. Please be sure to cc: Garry, Mike, and the Orders box. I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow afternoon, and I may not be able to get back here in time to adjudicate. Thanks!
Cory

Hi All,
Sorry for my game exiting NMR, but the handwriting was on the wall.
Great job.

Turkey turns on their previous Ally of Italy, while his other ally fails to submit orders. Still lots of gains for Turkey this year. France is beaten back, but remains in control of all French supply centers this year. We also say goodbye to Austria, and wish Dan best of luck in the next round.
Next turn: Autumn 1907 Retreats and Winter 1907 Adjustments.
Next Deadline: Friday 24th of February 2011, 19:00 GMT (7PM).
Two retreats needed:

something, but I can't see why Italy disbanded A(Tus) before F(TYS). The rules
state:

Units not in a supply center before units in

Hey all,
Short on time today, so you just get the basics. I need a retreat from Germany (Livonia to Warsaw, or OTB) and An italian retreat (Ion to Apu, Eas, aeg, or otb).
Build-wise, assuming all units retreat, England, France and Turkey each build one, and Germany disbands 2.
Sorry about the brevity... I hope I told you all you need to know...

As Little Red Riding Hood might say, what a color scheme you have! England controls France, Turkey takes Russia and the Ottoman's are made of stone! And the royal Brits have taken the royal purple to an extreme level. I must say, somebody call those "queer eye for the straight diplomat" boys immediately - we have a fashion emergency!!!!!!
More seriously, can we extend the deadline to Wed or Thursday, please?

"It's like in the great stories, Mr. Frodo. The ones that really mattered. Full of darkness and danger they were. and sometimes you didn't want to know the end because how could the end be happy? How could the world go back to the way it was when so much bad had happened? But in the end, it's only a passing thing. The shadow, even the darkness must pass. A new day will come. And when the sun shines it will shine out the clearer. Those were the stories that stayed with you - That meant something. Even if you were too small to understand why. But I think, Mr. Frodo, I do understand. I know now. Folk in those stories had lots of chances of turning back only they didn't. They kept going because they were holding onto something."
"What are we holding onto, Sam?"
"That there's some good in this world, Mr. Frodo. And it's worth fighting for."
