Sorry... I forgot to add all of the little *Bounce*,
*Disband*, *You Failed and Totally Disgraced Your Mother* tags...
One of these days, I???m going to be too busy to check and correct your order sets, and then won???t the adjudication be comical! A barrel of monkeys trying to run on banana-peel-covered ice, that???s what it would be!
But, instead, it???s a cruel and merciless grind.
Hembria and Itea suffer defeat everywhere. Realistically, they were never even given a chance. Four units dislodged. Two of them disbanded. The cruel Winter is coming on fast. Resources are scarce. They may have to eat squirrel or hamster meat before it???s all through.
Adaria seems to have had a good year, but actually he loses a center (his gains against Hembria in EDI and HOL are offset by his losses in LON and BEL; and then there???s the little matter of Spain???). You wouldn???t think that four scattered Hembrian units could cause so much
trouble. Is Adaria still one of the Big 3, or is he now a second-tier power?
Two units auto-retreat, though to be fair, it probably would make more sense for Itea to disband OTB and then rebuild. However, I must follow my own GM protocol, so there???s an auto-retreat??? with the proviso that Itea may choose to retreat OTB and submit a build if he chooses:
Hembrian A Marseilles retreats to Piedmont
Itean A Kiel retreats to Denmark
Heading into Winter 1907, everybody has adjustments! Trigspor (BER, KIE, and SPA) is the big winner.
Adaria: Supp 7 Unit 8 Remove 1
Itea: Supp 4 Unit 3 Build 1
Hembria: Supp 2 Unit 3 Remove 1
Zonotrichia: Supp 11 Unit 10 Build 1
Trigspor: Supp 10 Unit 7 Build 3
Orders will be due on Wednesday at the insufferable hour of 3:00 p.m. CST,
but I will adjudicate sooner if I receive orders from everybody.

Pete Dale - Persia 80, Carthage 5, Egypt 5, Greece 5, Rome 5

Hi gang,
So our wandering player is back and the game is back on. First of all, Turkish solo proposal fails, and we now have a new Turkish solo proposed for the fall season.... Will it be necessary?? Or can he manage to make it happen on his own. Time will tell....
We have one retreat due, for Turkey.
Turkish A Galicia can retreat to Vienna or OTB.
I'll make it due tomorrow, Tuesday February 15, 17:00 MST. If I get it sooner I can maybe run it later today or early tomorrow.
Here is the spring turn. Check to make sure I got all of your orders right.

Hi Folks,
Buck has kindly agreed to take on the position. I will make the new deadline, which is Fall 1904, this Friday, February 18, 17:00 MST. As some of you may have noticed we have a draw proposal on the table, which I will make active for Friday's deadline. Don't forget to vote yay or nay to a England/Germany/Russia/Italy four way draw. It must be unanimous to pass.
Here are the players as of this moment...... dip away.

Here we go!
First deadline: Next Tuesday 2/15, 3pm Central. That's 1 week from today. 3pm Central is 2100 GMT.
House rules: http://www.sims-family.net/dip/houserules.htm
These cover a few things not covered in the game book, or adapted for our email medium. Should probly glance over them, tho there's nothing ground-breaking in there.
Prelims - send in every turn! As soon as you have an idea of what you want to order, send those orders in. You can change them as much or as little as you want throughout the turn, so always always be sure to turn something in early. I have changed my own moves sometimes 6-7 times in one turn!
Intros are always fun too. Just to know who we're up against... I'm a techy type, do computer support for a living... I do a lot of work on the diplomaticcorp site, and build some pretty major LEGO structures...
Let's see... country assignments!

*War erupts over Warsaw!*

*Germans flee Sweden, seek refuge in Livonia*
Hey all,
It seems like lots of diplomacy went into this turn. In the spirit of universal love here on this Valentine's day, several nations assist each other, and at least two moves represent the first direct cooperation between those nations (France and Italy, and Germany and Turkey). Now that the alliances seem fairly well defined, it will be interesting to see which ones fracture first.
No retreats are needed (the Italian fleet in Apulia is disbanded). So we move along to Fall 06, due thursday at 8:00 AM CST (2:00 PM GMT). See ya then!

DC349 1st Strike Needs New Germany - Sean2010 (Feb 12, 2011, 6:03 pm) |
DC349 1st Strike is in need of a replacement for Germany.
Germany stands at 4 centers in Impassable Civil Disorder, a House Rule assimulated from the 2-player WW1 scenario aimed to dually minimize civil disorder imbalance and prevent delays from causing disruption.
France is already dually narrowed to 1 center and in passable Civil Disorder. In my opinion, Germany is one of the powers that possesses the game's progression's balance of power.

DC349 1st Strike F04 results - Sean2010 (Feb 12, 2011, 3:30 pm) |
Hello Everyone,
I apologize for the slight delay in posting the results.
Note, Germany is being placed into Impassable Civil Disorder as a result of maintain 3 or more supply centers. This is meant to prevent delay while attempting to absorb the imbalance caused by civil disorders especially of large key powers. This rule renders Den, Kie, Ber, and Mun impassable. This rule was assimulated from the 2-player World War I scenario regarding Italy during the first game year).
Due to requests, the deadline until a replacement Germany is found for W04 is 2-18-11 by midnight/ 12:00 AM Eastern Standard time. If I can find a replacement player, the deadline will be readjusted granting time to negotiate; otherwise, F Hel who resides outside of a German supply center will be disbanded. Also, if I can't find a replacement player, Germany will be placed into Passable Civil Disorder; otherwise, the house rule becomes disruptive.

Subject: WB DC366 F05 Results: Russia Eliminated
Date: Thu, 10 Feb 2011 19:57:52 -0500
We Bid Farewell to Dan
Everybody Gets a Part of Austria
It Seems They Are Not Long for This Game?
Germany NMR's Again But Is Not Eliminated
Anglo-Frankish Alliance Rolls Forward?
All,
A fateful turn it seems. It looks like we are moving solidly into the mid-game phase as one power is eliminated and two others look to be on the short list of those getting promoted to elimination.
We have several retreats that appear complicated on the surface but ultimately were not. The Russian F had several options for retreat - however, none of them matter since ultimately Russia will have to remove the unit. None of the retreat options were to a SC so I simply removed the unit. Austria had two retreats but both could only go to Budapest; therefore one had to go OTB. Technically both units could go OTB and one rebuild but the only place to rebuild would be Budapest so the retreat stands. For grins, Rum retreated to Bud (because it was first alphabetically) and Tri went OTB.
Sigh. Lots of fun. We move to Winter with the following adjustments:
England builds 1
France builds 2
Italy builds 1
Turkey builds 1
These are due tomorrow at 6pm CST.
A heads up: I think many of you are copying the orders(at)diplomaticcorp.com email when you send in orders. Please do so next week for sure. I will be gone Tuesday through Sunday and will NOT be able to run turns. Thus Mike will have to get them from the orders box to run the turn. I am unlikely to have access to email so I will not be able to forward your orders on to him if you forget. Sorry.
