DC 341: F1908 Adjudication/Vote - AceRimmer (Feb 03, 2011, 3:10 pm) |
Thank you all for your patience. It has been a downright hectic day for me.
You will all be happy to know that the end of game proposal does not succeed. How many yes votes were there? How many nays? What about those pesky little abstentions? Keep your gun barrels polished, pour another round, and let???s make like the Hatfields and the McCoys!
The big winner this year will is Italy, who performs a Julius-Caesar-in-Gaul impersonation and collects two centers at the expense of the French.
There are three retreats, two of them auto-retreats (unless their owners contact me with an OTB request):
The French fleet in Spain retreats to Portugal.
The Russian fleet in Clyde retreats to Norwegian Sea
The German fleet in North Sea may retreat to Belgium, English Channel, Helgoland Bight, Holland, London, Skagerrak, or OTB.
We say farewell to Matt Kelly. Thank you profusely with lavish public displays of affection for taking over our abandoned Turkey. You are a hero, Matt.
We *may* say farewell to Nathan Powell, too, if Catie retreats to London. Nathan has been a dogged if not desperate fighter ever since Russia sneaked into Norway and compromised his northern flank.
That retreat order is due tomorrow by 3:00 p.m. CST, Catie, but I???ll adjudicate it sooner if you???d like. Then, winter adjustments come 24 hours later. In case you???d like a peek behind the curtain, the adjustments are:
England: Supp 1 Unit 1 Build 0
France: Supp 4 Unit 5 Remove 1
Germany: Supp 6 Unit 6 Build 0
Italy: Supp 10 Unit 8 Build 2
Russia: Supp 13 Unit 13 Build 0
If Catie retreats OTB or to London, then Germany has one build (which would be unusable on account of her home centers all being occupied at the moment). If Gareth retreats OTB, then he'd have one build available, too.

DC 359 Fall 04 Adjucation - untitled36 (Feb 03, 2011, 9:05 am) |
*Austria Lives!*
*German army in Holland crushed by the opposition!*
*Russians refuse to move, citing lack of leadership!*
Hey all,
Still no eliminations. Russia NMR's again, but no one is around to take Warsaw. Austria bounces Italy in Budapest, buying himself another year of life. Austria did, however, have to retreat, and the only option was Albania, so I auto-adjucated it. Technically, off the board is an option, so let me know if you'd prefer that.
Going into winter, we have:
Austria - DISBAND 1
England - BUILD 1
France - BUILD 1
Turkey - BUILD 2
Interestingly, though Germany lost two centers, he also had two units destroyed this year, so his unit count and supply centers still match up. The standings so far are fairly balanced:
Turkey leads the pack with 8 centers
England, France, Germany, and Italy are all in a six-center, four-way tie.
Russia and Austria cling to life with one center each.
Of course, Builds (and Austria's retreat if desired) due tomorrow at 8:00 AM CST (2:00 PM GMT).

The rules will be standard house rules (http://www.diplomaticcorp.com/info.php?type=houserules )
I live in South Africa, so will need to adjudicate on Wednesday mornings when I get to work (5:30 ish GMT). This gives a natural period of grace for getting orders in a little late, so there should be no excuses for NMRs! I will try to
send reminders the day before, but real life may prevent that.
Use DC and game number when assigned in the subject line as I am playing a number of games and running a tournament on the Stabbeurfou site, so may get confussed!
To all, good luck!

Hi folks,
Another nmr from Italy and he is no longer with us. Turkey gets close, now sitting with 17 dots to his name..... and Iberia looks a wee bit vulnerable. It doesn't look like he can be stopped, but we're going to go through the motions anyhow.
Russia retreats to Berlin, France to Burgundy. Winter due on Wednesday, Feb 2, 17:00 MST. I can maybe run it on Tuesday if I get final adjustments from Turkey and England.....
STATUS:
Ownership:
England: London.
France: Brest, Paris, Portugal, Spain.
Russia: Belgium, Berlin, Denmark, Edinburgh, Holland, Kiel,
Liverpool, Moscow, Norway, St Petersburg, Sweden,
