We appear to have our first NMR. I do not show any orders from Russia. While most of you use the "orders" box, this is a good time to point out the value in doing so, because it's likely the only way Russia will be able to prove he sent moves in (if he did).
Lots of action this year. It looks like several home centers will be trading hands in the fall. We are definately seeing nations on the rise and nations on the decline, but it's still early, and things can change in an instant here...
Fall moves are due thursday at 8:00 AM CST (2:00 PM GMT). And of course retreats and/or builds will be due the following day, so be thinking about your possibilities there.

One mistake in orders. Ionian sea actually supported Aeg-Greece instead of moving to greece. In practice, this really doesn't change any results, but I know it might affect diplomactic ties.

All,
I have an infected tooth. I did not sleep very well last night because of the pain and I think the infection is now in my sinuses and throat. I am going to be seeking dental care this morning. But, as I have no idea if they will be able to fit me in or send me accross town to a different dentist, I am going to ask the Tournament Moderators handle this eveings adjudication.
So, if you have not already sent in your orders for this evening's deadline, make doubly sure you include a copy of your orders to orders(at)diplomaticcorp.com. For those of you who just received my reply to your orders, I have included a cc to orders(at)diplomaticcorp.com with my reply . . . but, you might make doubly sure of that as well if you didn't include your own copy to orders(at)diplomaticcorp.com.
Mike, a copy of the dpy file is attached.
Thanks,

The rules will be standard house rules (http://www.diplomaticcorp.com/info.php?type=houserules )
I live in South Africa, so will need to adjudicate on Wednesday mornings when I get to work (5:30 ish GMT). This gives a natural period of grace for getting orders in a little late, so there should be no excuses for NMRs! I will try to
send reminders the day before, but real life may prevent that.
Use DC and game number when assigned in the subject line as I am playing a number of games and running a tournament on the Stabbeurfou site, so may get confussed!

German F Hol can retreat to Hel or disbanded off the map. Since there's only one retreat option, I've taken the liberty of placing the unit F Hol into Hel. Oystein please let me know by 2-6-11 by 12 AM if you would prefer F Hol disbanded; otherwise, the F Hel will have to stand with it being the only retreat option.

If you notice below, I mistakenly note that Russia can disband 2 "if 2 units go OTB, no change" and that is clearly not true since he only has 1 retreat. I noticed this mid-afternoon and asked Dan for updated orders accordingly. While I would normally say "tough" because a player should catch my error and correct it, I DID make a mistake that I have tried to correct in short order. However, the WB must go on so if I have not heard from Russia by 10am tomorrow morn (CST) then I shall have no choice but to move on.
Just wanted to keep you all informed.

Subject: WB DC366 F02: Retreats Needed Everywhere!
Date: Thu, 20 Jan 2011 21:52:48 -0500
We Have Multiple Three Countries Needing a Retreat...A Rarity Indeed
StP Remains Russian In Spite of English and Austrian Interest
Unfortunately That is About All That Russia Keeps - Turkey Stole the Keys to the Kingdom
Italy Claims the Last Neutral
So we move to an interesting Winter turn. We have retreats and adjustments due tomorrow night at 6pm CST. If someone wishes their builds to be conditional on specific retreats they can build their orders as such and I will interpret them. Here is what we need:
French F ENG can retreat to Wales, NTH, Bre or OTB
Austrian A Gal can retreat to Vie or Sil or OTB
Russian F Sev can retreat to BLA or OTB
Austrian F Tri can retreat to ADS or OTB
In addition to that, we have the following adjustments (note some are conditional because retreats can be OTB):
Austria: disband 1 if both units retreat; if 1 unit goes OTB, no disband needed; if 2 units go OTB, 1 build is allowed
England: no change
France: no change
Germany: no change
Italy: build 2
Russia: disband 2 if both units retreat; if 1 unit goes OTB, disband 1; if 2 units go OTB, no change
Turkey: build 2
Wow. That was ridiculous to figure out. Get those orders in. Can't wait to see what this game holds next.

WB DC366 W02: Slight Delay Due to GM Error - garry.bledsoe (Jan 21, 2011, 8:58 pm) |
Garry
