dc340 DCI 2010 - Fall 06 Retreats - garry.bledsoe (Jan 18, 2011, 9:42 pm) |
Both Ukraine and Byzantium try to retreat to Odessa so both the A and F are removed OTB per the rules. The Ukrainian A in Bul successfully retreats to Macedonia. Thus we move to Winter. We have lots of Winter action!
Burgundy - build 1
Sicily - no change
Eire - build 1
Hungary - build 2
Israel - no change
Poland - disband last unit
Spain - no change
Ukraine - disband 2
Byzantium - build 3
There you go. Should be an interesting 1907! But before that we need our Winter adjustments. Those are due Thursday (the 20th) at 6pm CST. I won't update the website until we have Winter turn out there.

Subject: dc340 DCI 2010 - Fall 06 Eire Found; Ukraine Still Bleeding
Date: Mon, 17 Jan 2011 21:56:05 -0500
Little Change Due to My Ineptitude
Eire Really Doesn't Move Much, Just Positions for Next Turn and Gains Brussels
Ukraine Takes a Blood Bath Turkish Style (oh wait...guess that is Byzantine style)
A Definite Squeeze on the Middle Now as Sicily And Burgundy Fight for Their Lives
Ho Hum...Hungary Grows On
Officially Poland is Done And We Have Our First Elimination - We Wish Mikael the Best!
All,
Unfortunately I could find no orders from Dirk. Dirk - if you have a confirmation from me please share. Else we move to our retreats and then on to Winter builds. Let's get retreats by Tues 6pm and Winter by Thurs 6pm. Then we can set our Spring07 for the following Thurs. Note that I am trying to keep with WB tournament days as best possible so that people don't have a deadline every single day.
Retreats needed:
Byzantine F WBS can retreat to Ode or OTB
Ukranian A Rum can retreat to Ode or Tra or OTB
Ukranian A Bul can retreat to Thr or Mac or OTB
We will get a Winter email tomorrow night hopefully. Builds removes will definitely get interesting!

It is going to be an uphill battle in all honesty, but this could be a chance to try out your "comeback" strategy.
Thanks for helping. Please let me know ASAP.

Is it that time already? Seems like it was just yesterday I was running this game, and I'm a day late! My how time flies... This round the small fries take the turn off, as Rome and Egypt find themselves between a rock and a hard place. I'll leave it to you to determine which of you is "the rock" and which is "the hard place".
The big retreats for the turn tho happen up in Scandinavia, where the warm-weather Carthaginians are no match for the cold-weather German Hordes. Next time they'll pack more than loin cloths I'm sure...
F Aliso could only go to O.Ger, and F Treva could go to a couple places but I nudged it over to Scandia just to make the builds easier. If Mare Suev or Aestui is preferred just let me know!
BUILDS:
Well, let's face it. This turn it's all Macedonia, w the whopping +5.
Carthage: Remove 1
Macedonia: Build 5
Rome: Remove 1
Due Thu 1/20, 3pm Central - tho I'll send out whenever I have all 3 sets.
Note this game was actually intended as Chaos Builds, enabling the 5 at once, but all have been playing it to date as regular builds, and I cannot find anywhere that I actually noted it was Chaos Builds, so Regular Builds it is... And Macedonia is limited to only 3 for now. I'll have to update the wiki on this game afterwards to be more clear!

DC356 Austria has withdrawn from the game - cbconnell (Jan 18, 2011, 3:41 pm) |
I just got word that Austria has withdrawn from the game.
What is your pleasure...
1) continue the game without an Austrian player??
2) pause the game and find a replacement
Probably our best choice is to continue the game without an Austrian player, but it is your call.
I have not looked at the orders yet, so I don't know what the outcome of this season's moves would be on Austria.
Please let me know ASAP, but preferably before 9:00pm MST today.

DC341: EOG Proposal - MagDox (Jan 18, 2011, 2:01 pm) |
Hi everyone,
It's been a great game, but I've asked Adam to run an EOG-Proposal.
I felt I should offer the opportunity for Nathan, Matt, and perhaps even
James to grab survivals. Nathan and James played a great game and could
perhaps have continued the stalemate in the north if Italy hadn't headed
west, and Matt stepped into an impossible position when our Turkey
dropped out.
I'm happy to play on if the vote's defeated, perhaps there's another
surprise left?
Best,
Gareth

Just wanted to let you know that France has resigned. I will be looking for a replacement and will have the game paused until one is found.
Also, a couple of you pointed out, that my link in the last email was incorrect. Sorry about that. Here is the corrected link:

I am no longer attaching files because when I copy the forum and I have an attachment, it doesn't post correctly. But links work fine.
Also, I will be sending out the RealPolitik file shortly. It should allow you to follow along and see prior moves. A link to the RealPolitik application is here:

Subject: DC 333, Winter 1908
Hey folks,
I have winter orders from everyone, so on to spring. First things first:
Two proposals on the table now, votes for both are due with spring orders:
1. Turkish solo
2. Russia/Turkey draw
Spring orders are due on Friday, January 21, 17:00 MST.
The adjustments for this year show a trend toward terrestrial, with England disbanding his fleet in English Channel, and Russia constructing three shiny new armies.
Maps are attached. Enjoy.
Warren

Wow is it Monday already? You know, I wish it were Sunday. That's my fun day. My I don't have to run day. Sometimes it seems like it's just another manic Monday...
In any case, moves are due at 3pm today! That is in precisely 7 hours from now. Most are in, but I think a couple have yet to make their way to my inbox.

dc340 DCI 2010 - Fall 06 Eire Found; Ukraine Still... - garry.bledsoe (Jan 17, 2011, 8:56 pm) |
