Blitzers,
New armies all around, along with a disbanded Fleet makes this upcoming season a fight on the ground?
We also have a draw proposal on the table:4-way draw: GIRT, with F earning a survival.
Votes are due with the spring orders. A unanimous Yes vote is required for the draw proposal to pass.
I also encourage you all to submit all your orders to orders(at)diplomaticcorp.com. Noone is going to be sadder than yourself if you don't do it and something happens so that I cannot adjudicate.

Hey Guys,
I forgot to tell you all that I will be away starting Saturday.
My daughter is getting married and we are going on a cruise to celebrate.
Please allow time if I need to retreat. Otherwise, I will be
home Thursday and should make the next deadline.
Thanks,

Italys NBR - Douglas_E_Fresh (May 01, 2010, 11:32 am) |
Dear Players,
There are various arguments raised here. I am personally of the opinion that anything which keeps the game on track and 'in the spirit of the game' should be encouraged.
However, I have had a mail from Mike (GM who runs Diplomatic Corps) and he states that Italy did not submit build orders. End of Story. I personally think this willl have an adverse affect on the game - given the circumstances and I apologise my part in it, but rules as they say are rules.
No builds for Italy this year and the game moves on as is.
Regarding the collusion between players outside the game - This is news to me and I have no reason to suspect any foul play.

Hey everybody,
I've double-checked and had received no build orders from Italy.
Annoyingly, I had failed to include the adjustments on the email - and also even more annoyingly, I did not include Italy's adjusments on the map. Nor did I send a reminder - I have been snowed under this week - you can probably tell.
I am in a quandry. While it is Italy's responsibility to supply me with orders, I feel I have failed him as a GM, or even worse, misled him by my mistake on the map. The deadline was short and I am concerned that the failure of the build order will affect the game in a completely adverse way.
I am within my rights to either continue the game with no builds, or I can overule the NBR.
If I overule the NBR and allow Italy builds, would you find this acceptable? I'd like a show of hands please. Let me know if you think it is in the best interest of the game to allow Italy a build order, or not, by return mail asap
Thanks & Apologies

dc224 Winter 18 Results - New Characters for the S... - garry.bledsoe (May 01, 2010, 11:24 am) |
All,
We have a new Undead character called Skullcap (Army), two new Trolls, Never Never Land (F) and Kahvi (A), and one new Pirate to terrorize the seas, Pan's Labrynth (F).
I have also found out that we have a player that is going to be gone until May 9th (starting today). As such, it makes sense to push our Spring 19 deadline to Tuesday May 11th at 6pm CST.
Attached is our new .dpw file along with an updated map. Don't forget to vote for the EGP's, specifically the Elven one.
Your fun narrator,
Garry

dc315 change to adjustments - FuzzyLogic (May 01, 2010, 8:17 am) |
Hey all,
Not sure if this has been sent out or not, but Italy did
order A Tyrolia last turn, it didn’t NMR. A Tyr Moved to Ven, which
means France did not get Venice, and Austria moves into Tyr. Corrected map
attached. Given this, it affects the build orders, so we’ll give a
little extra time here. Alan’s away, so I’ll put out the turn
based on what I have in the orders box tomorrow (Sunday) 8am Central / 1pm
GMT. (If this has already been corrected, pls let me know and we’ll do
the adjustments right away!)
That’s…
4 retreat orders (Tun, Rom, Lvn, Mun)
And 4 build orders:
Aus +1
Fra +2 (not +3)
Ita -2 (not -3)
Tur +1
Thanks,

If any of you have vacations or other conflicts where you need extension or longer deadlines just let me know when you know about them. The sooner the better. Thanks.

(DC 324) A Stab in the Dark - Spring 1901 Results - Corrino (Apr 30, 2010, 7:35 pm) |
Players -
It begins.
Rumors run from one end of the continent to the other. Armies are on the march. Fleets are putting out to sea. From whence did they come, and to where are they going?
Open conflict has been confirmed in three scattered provinces this season: Rumania, Trieste and Munich.
Three separate Austro-Hungarian units, believed to be the full complement of the Archduke's forces, are confirmed in their positions. The other continental nations all have single armies revealed to the world, while of the two corner powers -- "witches" to some -- there is not a whisper to be heard.

Hallo zusammen,
the Sejm has passed an ambitious naval armaments bill. The Polish Vasas may
perhaps want to enforce their Scandinavian birthright. The English, Swedes and
Turks however appear quite uninterested in expanding (or, in the case of Sweden,
reestablishing) their navies.
Given Harvey's upcoming medical procedure and
Aidan's leisurely foray into Russia, we're now looking at a May 12 Spring
1658 deadline, it being subject to me having heard from these to players prior
to that date.
Happy Labour Day!

Well, a very active fall, if I am any judge. Unfortunately, tomorrow is the day that I leave for a week, so all this craziness is going to have to wait for just a bit. There are four retreats that need to be resolved before we can move on to the winter. If I can get those all in and "final" before 11pm CDT tonight, then I can get it done before I leave. Otherwise, we're off for a week. But, on to the part you're all waiting for:

Both of our players with removal orders due fail to submit orders, so I'll auto-remove French and Turkish units under the tournament rules. England builds a fleet, while Italy and Russia each raise new armies.
During 1906, we will have a substitute player controlling England. His name is Kyle Rudge, and his e-mail address is krudge (at) goldenwestradio.com. Welcome to the game, Kyle, and thanks for stepping in!
Spring 1906 orders will be due Monday 5/3 at 3pm Central (US) / 21:00 GMT. Thanks, everyone!

DC302 Fall 1905 adjudication - psychosis1973 (Apr 30, 2010, 4:12 pm) |
Fall 1905 sees England down to 1 centre and Germany down to 2, following continuing French offensives in the west. Germany, England and Italy seem to be having communication or translation issues, as support orders fail in Munich and around Holland and the North sea. Meanwhile, France sends a fleet into the Med, and Turkey advances further against Italy.
There's two retreats needed, and as one has multiple retreat options, I haven't auto retreated. However, we'll run the Autumn retreats and the Winter adjustments together to save some time, as I don't think either retreat really affects adjustment decisions.
Deadline for Autumn/Winter is 2100GMT Tuesday 4 May (I'll adjudicate before then if all orders received)
English F London can retreat to Yorkshire or disband.
German A Munich can retreat to Silesia or Bohemia or disband.
Adjustments:
Austria: Supp 1 Unit 1 Build 0
England: Supp 1 Unit 2 Remove 1 (0 if London disbanded)
France: Supp 11 Unit 10 Build 1

True - Kozani's force disband is the second build. I did not mean to
