As a reminder, I will adjudicate early in retreat phases if I have all
retreats in to me marked final. These must be submitted privately to
me only. If I have them all in on Monday, perhaps we could make Fall
Thursday as normal instead of stretching until next Tuesday.
Thanks!

Izmir (Ancient Smyrna) was one of the most cosmopolitan and wealthy
trade ports in the Ottoman Empire. Its population was by no means
exclusively Turkish, but counted many Greeks and Italians as
residents, some tracing their lineage back to the Italian city states
that sent Crusaders to Anatolian shores.
Today Izmir is the last redoubt of the noble Ottoman Empire, who have
seen their empire reduced by an invasion of Romanians and Bulgarians.
Of all unlikely sources, their sole aid has come from the Greeks,
whose offshore fleets have not been the invading force that would
appear in 1922 historically, but instead rise to face the
Bulgarian/Ottoman threat.

RETREATS DUE:
Austro-Hungarian A Agram can retreat to Graz or OTB.
Ottoman A Bursa can retreat to Istanbul, Izmir, Manisa.. or OTB

As a reminder, I will adjudicate early in retreat phases if I have all
retreats in to me marked final. These must be submitted privately to
me only. If I have them all in on Monday, perhaps we could make Fall
Thursday as normal instead of stretching until next Tuesday.
Thanks!

Brian,
I understand your disappointment with the recent adjudication. I also acknowledge that I was late with Thursday's adjudication.
However, this is the Winter Blitz - a fast moving tournament. Once you realized that I was late you could have submitted conditional build orders. In fact, the last round I had a player who consistently submitted moves, retreats and builds all together.
I think that under the circumstances I did what was best. I did allow a full 24 hour window of submitting orders for the winter, making the winter adjudication late as well.
There is nothing that I can do about the orders right now since they have been revealed - short of correcting mistakes that I might have made.

Your mistake make me fail to check my emails and submit winter order builds...I was sleeping at the time you adjust the map (in +8 GMT) and I just go online to check my emails and see you have already adjust the map for winter....

Blitzers,
I'm terribly sorry to not have gotten this out yesterday evening. Completely my mistake - I forgot about it. I hope I will not make that mistake again. To make things fair I'll make the next deadline due in 24 hours - which will leave you a little less time to diplome for the spring, but will give you 24 hours for the winter adjustments. If I receive orders marked "FINAL" from all of you before the normal deadline (about 13 hours from now) I'll go ahead and adjudicate then.
One final note: Please make sure to copy the orders box (orders-at-diplomaticcorp.com (orders-at-diplomaticcorp.com)) with your orders so that if a backup GM steps in he will have your orders!

GM’s remarks:
Uh . . . well, I have an A/G Draw proposal. But, I’m not sure if I should consider it shot down already or not. I guess, only the official vote provided with your orders really counts; so, send me your votes (again) on the draw proposal with your Spring Orders.
However, I suspect it is just a foregone conclusion.
