243 Summer,Fall start - agwopa (Aug 02, 2009, 9:52 am) |
It seems that I did not tell all about the retreat.
The retreat went to Greece from Serbia. As most I am sure already guessed. I did checked yesterday, saw I had some fall orders in hand (some are good people with prelims, that makes me ;-} ) and I "assumed" (I should learn after all these years not to assume) I had sent this map out and lucky for me an alert player said hey I do not have the retreat yet so,
here it is..... the map, and a slight time change for a deadline and instead of 1600 GMT Any time on Monday is cool by me. My time zone is near the end of the world so because I know I will not adjudicate till my Tuesday morning I am getting to be California laid back!!! So to Quote the Mama's and the Papa's "Monday, Monday". if you sang it to your self you either have good taste in music or are old like me!!
If this map arriving today is not enough time to get orders to me let me know but I suspect you folks have a good idea what you are doing next. I know I have some players that said they are away for the weekend so keep me informed and have a great day or two till I speak again!!
Thanks

DC212 Winter 1914 In Brief - former.trout (Aug 01, 2009, 5:42 am) |
Heya folks,
As I'm just getting ready to board a plane here, I'll send this out quickly and by the seat of my pants.
Austria builds a fleet in Trieste and an army in Vienna. England builds an army in London. Russia misses the boarding calls and has the army in Livonia auto-disbanded.
I will send out a map as soon as possible - probably this evening at some point. Deadline for Spring 1915 and any vote changes will be set for Thursday, August 6th (11:59 PM GMT).
Fly high!

DC230 Lost Kings - 3-Way Draw Proposal - former.trout (Aug 01, 2009, 5:37 am) |
Heya all,
In a burst of free love in the streets and substitution of flowers for rifles, a 3-way has been proposed.
No... Not THAT sort of 3-way... I'm talking about a 3-way draw between France, Germany and Austria. =)
Let me know if you're interested with a yay or nay vote by the Aug 5th deadline. Failure to vote counts as a "Hell No! Papa don't play that way!"
Cheers,
Troutsky The Great[Reply] |
DC250 My Army Is Bigger - Fall 1906 - It's A Funny... - former.trout (Aug 01, 2009, 5:30 am) |
Heya guys,
There's some interesting moves in the east this game-turn as Germany walks into Sevastopol unopposed and a log-jam occurs in Rumania. Meanwhile the other side of the board saw a slight miscue from the French which resulted in a mis-order. I apologize for being a mean wanker, folks, but after six game years I have to start assuming that you are all familiar with the board by now...
But no worries - even the most experienced of us mess these things up from time to time. I could tell you some stories, but we'd be here all day. =)
In any case, there was a single retreat owed from France in Marseilles. However, since the fleet had only the Gulf of Lyons to fall back to I took the liberty and auto-retreated it there. (Manolis, please let me know if you'd prefer the fleet to be retreated OTB and I will correct.)
Which brings around the Winter 06 turn. Germany gains two, Austria gains one and Turkey needs to say goodbye to some of their forces. Deadline for the Winter 06 adjustments will be set for Tuesday, August 4th (11:59 PM GMT).
As always, please let me know if you spot any errors. Cheers folks!

I haven't heard from Rodrigo in a while, so I'm delaying the game a day or two. Normally, I would simply NRM him, but I know his wife was due any day now and I don't want to punish him for having a baby. ;o) Hope you all understand, as I've had warning about this since he joined.

Hi All,Sorry for the delay and thanks for putting the game on hold on my account, or should i say the baby's. Last Sunday we did indeed deliver a baby girl and life became very crazy since.
The heiress to the Spanish throne, Alexandra (see pic), is doing great, in between crying, and has given me the go ahead to continue playing.
I will send my moves in by tonight or first thing tomorrow morning as I was just catching up on emails.
thanks again!

At long last! But with this much action, it was worth the wait!
Russia gets the axe as he is eliminated by a combined effort from the witches, Germany tries to finish off France, who holds on for another year, and Turkey comes on strong in the Balkans dealing Austria a major blow. There are no retreats to process, so we move right along into the builds, which we'll make due Tuesday 8/4, 6pm Central / 2300 GMT.

Just for the record... the real Great War ended in Fall 1918. Your war, however, will not.
Sorry for my delay. But sometimes the wait is worth it. There is an NMR! Quite significant, too. Italy's. In the past, the consequences have been little, but today, it leaves France in possession of the Tyrrhenian Sea, and it leaves Italy in possession of Rumania.
Consequently...
I need a build from Turkey and a disband from Russia. Hopefully, the two of you will compensate for my delay by getting me your orders today anyway
There was one retreat with but one option. So,
Russian Army Silesia retreats to Galicia.

DC224 - Previous Promises Prevent Purgatory Procee... - former.trout (Jul 30, 2009, 11:50 pm) |
Gents and ladies,
My apologies for the scramble that some of you have had to go through today to get word to me. I guess I need to issue a mea culpa here - last week I promised one of our players that I wouldn't schedule the Fall turn until sometime after the 2nd. Which was when this player was returning from a week-long trip.
Some of you went to great lengths to contact me about this today, and I humbly apologize about the need for it. My notes weren't updated with this vacation request, for which I can only blame myself.
Moving forward, we'll revise the Fall 09 deadline for Monday, August 3rd (11:59 PM GMT). I'm assuming since there are still three other sets of orders that needs find their way in, that this is somewhat acceptable for those of you out there.
Anyways, my bad on this one. The deadline shouldn't have been set for today. But I hope everyone has a great weekend - it'll fly by before you know it!
Cheers,
Suitably Ashamed Scheduler Trout[Reply] |
