Regret to say this, but we had a player out doing a walkabout last week. Deadline for Spring 06 has come and gone, and I find myself missing that players orders. I've notified the player in question in a seperate email, and hopefully orders will be coming right in.
We'll extend 24 hours in hopes of grabbing these orders. The player notified me of the vacation, so I will not assign an NMR. The fault may lie with me in scheduling the deadline too close to when their vacation dates ended.

Austria cleans the clock of our intrepid Sultan, who with France backing away from the Turkish peninsula finds no help at all. The Germans make their way into Rumania, but lose Trieste to the rampaging and savagely taunting Frenchmen. Meanwhile, Arthur continues his quest to find the Holy Grail only to find the French ALREADY in the North Sea!! Is nothing sacred?!
My thanks to the admirable Mr. Clay for valiantly fighting things through to the end - even though his forces have been reduced to a single unit for quite some time. Good luck in future games, Jeffrey! We'll see you there.
Meanwhile, all the end-game proposals once again meet with defeat. The diplomats once again return to the drawing board - only to find it thrown out the fourth-floor window and run over by the experimental tank division just for good measure.

I'm sorry to say that Jason didn't get me a retreat order. Therefore, the army has been disbanded, per the rules of Diplomacy. I had a bit of heartache over this decision, since I usually auto-retreat any unit having only one on-board option. However, after reviewing my personal history, I noticed that I always require retreats, even from one-option situations, if there are multiple players owing retreats. Sorry, Jason. Well despite the fact that it's the fall, everyone seems to use the turn
for positioning only. Black protects his fleet line while advancing his
armies, Red pulls back a fleet and shuffles his armies, Blue covers
Cobalt but loses Aqu to Yellow, who also pulls back on land and advances
on water. If that was too ambiguous for you, well just look at the map.
We have one retreat: Blue F Aqu can retreat to Ind, Sap, or Cer. As
soon as I received the retreat from Hugh I will publish it and, since,
amazingly, we have no adjustments, Spring 1907 will directly follow this
Friday, July 24, at 9 pm eastern.

Oh crap. That's annoying. Sorry folks. There's been more stuff going on this holiday than I expected when I agreed to act as a replacement, but that's hardly an excuse. Thankfully my lateness hasn't affected my long-suffering Venetian ally.

Well, I suppose that's one way a game like this could get resolved... by NMR. Which may be good for you so long as it is not YOUR NMR. In this case, however, Italy's NMR may have had the desired effect... if that desired effect was to let Turkey take Rome.

Hey guys! I apollogize for the delay and the delay after the delay and the upcoming delay.
Yes, that is right, we're going to have to delay (don't worry, am going to publish more results today!) but Danilo, our Englishman, has come across tragedy and must withdraw from the game. Also, Francis, our Frenchy, will need some delays coming up on this week, so we'll have to push the deadline just a bit in order to accomidate and then we'll really get back on schedule.
