dc252 w02 builds! - FuzzyLogic   (May 26, 2009, 7:28 pm)
FYI we have a player on vacation – this person did tell me before this turn about it, so I should have set the next turn accordingly. Now I can’t reach him for an update so we’ll have to hold tentatively. I think it should only be a couple days.

DC 225 Delay - AlanRFarrington   (May 26, 2009, 6:49 pm)
Hey Gang,

I forgot about the holliday and have been busy getting ready for my new job. Still need one set of orders before I can adjudicate. Expect out within the next 24 hours.
As always, orders can be changed up until the time it comes out.

Folks,
I'm missing three sets of orders. If you don't have a receipt, you haven't submitted. You will NMR if I don't have your orders within the next 22 hours.

DC-227 Deadline Imminent - TheWhiteWolf   (May 26, 2009, 4:01 pm)
Folks,
I'm disturbed by the lack of orders and end-game votes I've received. Remember, the end-game states that have been proposed for this turn are a solo concession for England and a draw including all survivors.
I'm breaking from my standard nondisclosure here to make things obvious.

I am missing orders from:
England
France
Germany
Italy
Turkey

I am missing end-game votes from:
England
Germany
Italy
Russia
Turkey

If you don't vote, it counts as a "No" vote. If you don't submit orders, you will NMR. You have 22 hours.

DC-244 Replacing France - TheWhiteWolf   (May 26, 2009, 3:50 pm)
Folks,
I was about to send out an update, so thanks to Chris for beating me to the punch.

Tomorrow's deadline will not stand, as my house rules state that I will only place a country in CD if it's at two centers or less. I only make exceptions to this on rare occasions, so we'll have to wait a bit and see if someone volunteers.

Sorry folks,
Wolf

Apparently until China is gone there will be no draw voted in, or so I'm told by one player...Not me, as I'm happy as a clam having destroyed the last of Ethiopia's military forcesSmile

I'm voting for the draw AND demanding that Persia liberate Ethiopia, just to be clear.

Any chance the guys not getting orders in till the last second are forgetting to vote?

Hey guys... so the computer I use for this game has mysteriously gone offline and we haven't been able to figure out what's wrong.  It has something to do with the renovations going on at my house, I'm sure, but until then I don't have access to the map-making tools.  As it stands, I'm still missing a couple sets of orders for the Spring of 2014... so for those of you who have missed out so far, here's your chance to get those in.

A&E 090205 / DC240: Winter 1769 adjudicated - NickHiggins   (May 25, 2009, 11:49 pm)
A&E 090205 / DC240: The Winter 1769 season has been adjudicated. I never received an order from France, and so the default rules apply. I'm not sure if I'll spelled these out yet, so here are the units to keep from highest to lowest priority:

1) any unit in a home SC (if tied, skip to #4)
2) any unit in a neutral SC (if tied, skip to #5)
3) if no units in an SC, the unit that is minimum tempi from a home SC (or a neutral SC, if no home SCs, and skip to #5 if tied)
4) if tied from #3, unit that is minimum tempi from the next closest home SC (exhaust all home SCs)
5) if still tied from #4, unit that is minimum tempi from the next closest neutral SC (exhaust all neutral SCs)
6) if still tied from #5, alphabetical order (keep A, disband Z)

France has no home SCs. They keep A Barcelona (in a neutral SC). Then both A Gascony and A Languedoc are 1 tempi from a neutral SC, Barcelona. Looking at the next closest SC, the only other one is Madrid, which is 2 tempi from both units. This leaves us with #6, which is alphabetical order, so Mike keeps A Gascony and disbands A Languedoc.

Did I mention that I'm an actuary? (that explains my need to create an elaborate logical system, rather than just flip a coin or arbitarily decide, Wizard of Oz style)

Anyway, our next deadline for Spring 1770 is Thu May 28th.

Gotta love the blitz! France and Russia throw on the brakes this turn as their units hold fast… Austria makes some daring advances in the west, while E, G, and T hold tight with some defensive maneuvers. Fletch and Nathan, I could not find moves from you! If you have sent them pls let me know ASAP. Once 24 hours pass, the opportunity will be gone.

Retreats! There is one French retreat, but A Mar can only go to Gascony, so I took the liberty of nudging it there, and we move along to fall...

Wow.  What a zinger of a turn!

Through sheer tenacity, Germany cuts a key support in Kiel and lives to fight another day - losing both of his centers but holding the line in Munich thanks to a life-line from the Italians.  Meanwhile France boldly goes to see the rain in Spain and the Tsar plays doctor to the Italians, advising them that they are about to feel a little pinch...

One retreat due from our Italian friend, from the army in Trieste.  There are a couple of options there and I'll set the Early Winter 08 deadline for Wednesday, May 27th (11:59 PM GMT).

As always, drop me a line if you spot a mistake and I'll correct it.  Cheers!

Heya folks,

Austria and England both choose to disband their dislodged units, while France sends their fleet to the Mid Atlantic.  That would be the Autumn retreats taken care of, and up next is the Winter 03 adjustments.  I have some in already, but definitely not all of them.  Deadline for Winter will be set for Wednesday, May 27th (11:59 PM GMT).

Also, for those of you who keep track of trivia, all of the subject header / turn titles thus far came from song titles from the Yeah Yeah Yeahs album It's Blitz!  With the CD spun out, I've thrown on a new one with this turn.

Cheers all.  Please let me know if you spot any errors,

dc246 spring 1909 results - coryfucius   (May 25, 2009, 7:07 pm)
First things first, another NMR from England... France takes advantage by sailing unchallenged into the English Channel, and advances additional units toward the English possessions. Elsewhere, Austria reoccupies the undefended Trieste and also moves to Tyrolia. Turkey sails to the Aegean Sea but once again is stymied in an attempt to gain the Ionian Sea.

No retreats are due, so we move directly to fall 1909, for which orders will be due Thursday 5/28 at 3pm Central (US) / 20:00 GMT.
