DC248 Fall '01 Adjudication - kevinokelly (Apr 02, 2009, 5:30 pm) |
OK pirate alliance. Just because I made a crack about your fleets floatig in spaces where there was no opposition doesn't mean you should throw me out of a draw this soon. I don't feel as though I deserve that kind of treatment. However, I'm willing to tone down my rhetoric a little if either of you will support me into the Irish Sea in the next couple of years. The way those fleets are moving, I'm thinking 1904.
Cheers!

Anyhow, the adjudication is below. Nobody has been forced to retreat yet (awwww...), so it's on to the adjustments! It being the first year, everybody gets to build. Can we have a group hug?

DC 211: F1909 Seismics - AceRimmer (Apr 02, 2009, 12:34 pm) |
The focus of attention shifts from one European capital (Berlin) to another (Moscow). Three of four submitted seismics impact the Kremlin. More amazingly, they all succeed. Meanwhile, in the south, France reverses last Spring’s seismic and rejoins Rome to the Gulf of Lyon. Watch those isthmi, gentlemen! An unusual one was created but remained unmentioned in orders: France had the opportunity to involve water on the Rome/Tuscany border. Now, what he would’ve accomplished by creating a strait or a canal through Rome, I don’t know. But the choice was there.
Austria, France, and Russia owe me builds tomorrow at the usual time.

Split Mos/OTB, join Sev / Stp

Folks,
As some of you know things have been pretty hectic in my house lately. The kids and I came down with a horrible stomach virus that I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. The kids and I are finally better but we just received word that my husband is being sent back to his home base a few days earlier. That leaves me little less then a week to get packed, find us a truck and an apartment in San Antonio. During this time Stephen Lytton will be taking over GMing for you go so all orders from now on are to be sent to stevelytton(at)hotmail.com.
As soon as we get into San Antonio and we get settled I will take back over. Stephen will be setting a new deadline I believe. Have fun guys and take care. I'll be back in about 2 -3 weeks.. ( hopefully 2! )

Austria -> Turkey: Congrats on Russia. And you are very
welcome for the assist into Warsaw. I hope that will solidify
an alliance. My move on Italy was successful, and I expect
we'll head in opposite directions now; you North, me West.
Your fleet in Con and Bul are fine; I'll move to Greece and
then over to the West. Gal can swing through Vienna towards
Italy, and can Rum move north towards Moscow?
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Austria -> Germany: All posturing aside, you never had anything
to worry about with Tyl. And you still don't. I will make no
moves North.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Austria -> Italy: Sorry. But I got tired of doing nothing.

Dear Uncle Bertie,
May I congratulate you on your conquest and holding of
Brest, and our combined efforts in seeing off the cornflake
eater who would call himself King.
I'm enjoying the best of his ladies in Paris where they
display their considerable charms for my Army's delictation.
So much for an early exit for the Kaiser, rather it is with
your munificent support Uncle, that we have seen off the
jumped up upstart that was the King of France..
Now on to other things...
We urgently need new troops in the Northern STP sector to
stop the Islamic hordes supported by the turncoat Austro
Hungarian rabble from overrunning central Europe completely.
To this end I appeal to you send fresh troops to STP for a
Northern campaign, and fleets to the warmer shores of the
Mediterranean to halt the Westward progress of the
Unbelievers...

DC205 - Is your GM really that dumb?! - packrat (Apr 02, 2009, 12:37 am) |
Actually, if that is correct then I think STP was actually *ordered* to Finland to
cut support. So STP *moves* to Finland and MAR is the only needed retreat.
The attached map IS NOT by any means official, but I believe it is accurate up to
the point of the needed retreat. However, I put it in the same place Trout had it
on the prior map he sent out.

The answer, of course, is yes. *sigh*
In my correction last night, I failed to move the correct submitted order for Russia's army in Finland. It was ordered to Norway, NOT to Sweden as I published. That of course changes things up a little, as Russia takes Norway from France.
What an awful adjudication, I'm sorry folks. A corrected and revised map will be sent out tomorrow night with the French retreats. Please note that the French army in St. Petersburg can no longer retreat to Norway, but must retreat to either Finland or OTB.
Please stand by - your GM plans to get his head out of his ass with tomorrow evenings adjudication. =P

DC 212 Return of your GM and Spring 1910 Deadline - Verticallychallangedcutie (Apr 01, 2009, 9:06 pm) |
Folks,
Thanks for sticking with this game while I seemed to have disappeared into thin air. What started out as a plan to only be gone for a week while we moved turned into almost 2 months of me being gone. A long list of bad events between Feb 10th and now have kept me from the game. For those of you, who wish to hear the tale please feel free to contact me via private email and I will shoot it along. I would like to say welcome to the Arch Duke Fredrick. Please make sure you all give him a warm welcome to the game by throwing those knives! =P
I suppose you all would be wanting a deadline for your Spring moves huh? Before I get into that I do want to throw it out there, that I will be moving this weekend ( I can already hear the groans ) but no worries this time. 2 day max I will be gone from the internet so please still send your orders to me and I will get to them as soon as I can pick up a wireless signal by the pool
Deadline:
Deadline for Spring 1910 is set for April 8th at 2pm CDT ( 8pm GMT ).

Hey Guys,
At the time of the last deadline I had 3 missing orders. Two of them came filtering in, I still haven't received word from Italy, so in an effort of not holding up the game I'll adjudicate. Hopefully I'll get word from him soon and we can keep the game moving.

DC-239 Autumn 1902 Adjudication - TheWhiteWolf (Apr 01, 2009, 6:02 pm) |
All,
Turkey didn't send in a retreat. Unfortunately, this means he's NMR'ed, causing a default removal of the fleet. Matthew, if you're still with us, I need to know within 24 hours. A second NMR will cause your replacement.
Also, Russia's retreat is illegal, because he attempted to retreat to the province his army was dislodged from. Sorry, Lance, I warned you to recheck the adjudication for legality.

DC190 - Spring 2012 - worldwidegm at gmail.com (Apr 01, 2009, 4:17 pm) |
I hope everyone's having a wonderful beginning to the month of April... here in Winnipeg, we've gotten another inch or so of snow, just in case winter hasn't been long enough. But don't worry, soon it'll all melt and flow into the river in time to join whatever we're getting from Fargo.

DC235 Dirkfell S1912 Results - A Correction, Bad N... - garry.bledsoe (Apr 01, 2009, 9:17 am) |
All,
Italy brought to my attention [within the appropriate timeframe] that I made a mistake in the entry of his orders. F TYS ACTUALLY supported Nap-ION. I have verified that this was an error on MY part so there is a correction.
Italy actually has the ION with a F and there is no F in Nap.
I apologize for the error. I will send an updated map tonight. I just now got to verify my mistake.
All apologies.
garry
