I understand that this is a very quick deadline, so if any player prior to the deadline feels that they do need more time - all you have to do is drop me an email. I've got a hectic end of week next week, which is why I was angling for something earlier, but i can be flexible...

The Time has Come... - FuzzyLogic   (Nov 21, 2008, 5:26 pm)
Once again the time has come... for all good Diplomats to venture forth... and offer up their pen, their computer, and their Realpolitik... and add to that their steadfast committment, their sound judgement, and their wisdom of the ages... and from those great things, beget more great things - a game - of Diplomacy.

Who shalt become the next glorious GM to blaze his trail thru this wilderness we call fun? Who is it that will provide an inspiration - leadership - a touch of humor - and most of all open the gates for those that surround us to enjoy their busy days at work... Days when people should probly be working - or cooking dinner - or writing their discertations, but instead - prefer to lie, cheat, and stab - all because you - the next GM - make it possible.

Come forth - oh ye great GM's... and run a game.

213 Winter 04 Adjudication - Samnuva   (Nov 21, 2008, 1:55 pm)
Before I begin, Let me thank Mark Utterback, Our Kaiser, for his
excellent performance. He held out much longer than we all thought he
would, and, more importantly, Stuck it through to the end. Mark, you
will be missed.

But, we have other important matters, as in WE HAVE A DRAW PROPOSAL!!
It calls for a 4-Way English, French, Austrian, and Italian draw, with
Turkey and Italy surviving. The may my voting system works is that we
need Unanomus-1 to pass a result, meaning that I need at least two Nay
votes to bar the proposal. I won't be assigning a new deadline until
after the vote passes or fails, so just get your Votes to me ASAP.

Builds/Disbands:

Germany: Dis F Bal
France Build A Par
England build A Lon
Turkey Dis A Sev

Get me those votes

Dc194 Fall 1906 - deathblade_penguin   (Nov 21, 2008, 12:42 am)
Joe

I like to believe I can always change my position in a game for the better - check out Dc110 where I managed
to get a survial after having no units on the board for a number of seasons, but yes the more correct thing would have been to email the GM.

As far as the french position/credit would go - Mike Hoffmann is the current France. There's a complicated system that the ratings used to determine how much goes to eahc france. However my basic knowledge is that if Mike takes on the position and improves it - he gets credit for the improvement, just as if he took on a position and made it worse -= he gets credit for that worsing. Check on the DC site for a more accurate assesment of ratings but as far as the game goes, Mike Hoffmann is France.

Stephen, I should have emailed and told you all units Hold, but I really didn't see the point. The end result would have been the same. With the turn overs of players and all, I just lost interest. I did receive the deadline notices, but just chose to ignore them. Mike was honest (really, he was!) and didn't have a reason to change the flow of the game. DC205 - Spring 05 24 Hour Extension - former.trout   (Nov 20, 2008, 9:29 pm)
Heya folks,

Unfortunately, one of our number submitted moves for Spring 05 that were a little fuzzy. I've requested clarification and will extend 24 hours to allow time for this. (Which should come as great relief to those two of you who have not yet submitted orders... *hint hint*)

So please consider this your 24 hour boot to the bum for Spring 1905. Luckily, I'm wearing my slippers and not my steel-toes. =P

Cheers!
