Vacation - test_gm   (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am)
Everyone,

I just wanted to give you all plenty of advanced notice that all games I am currently running will have a 2-4 week pause beginning near the end of November. I will be going on vacation starting on the 22nd of November and will not be returning home until December 8th. During this time I do not plan on having much access to my email, or at least not regular access. At the moment it appears that all three of my games will still be running by the time I leave. As these dates approach and the deadlines for these games extend into them I will announce the beginning of the pause for each game.

On a site note we have players all over the world, so... I will be in the cities of Paris, Bern, Zurich, Stuttgart, Milan, and Venice during my trip. If any of you are near these locations and are interested, I would be happy to buy you a drink.

DC104 Invitational Spring 1907 - Born For This - test_gm   (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am)
The march took place in hundreds of cities across Europe and North America. Around the world, tens of thousands of women hoisted their placards and took to the streets. Work everywhere ground to a halt in London as Millwrights, Carpenters and even Policemen left their jobs to join the protest. In Moscow, the cold Spring wind didn't dampen the enthusiasm of the militant mothers calling their sons home. In Washington, the police formed a skirmish line in front of the Lincoln Memorial but could only stand mute as first one lady, then another, then hundreds more simply walked between the raised truncheons - unimpressed by the mere show of force.

All around the globe, the Millions Mothers Marched calling for an end to the war.

And in a dimly lit cave at an undisclosed location in Germany, an evil figure rubbed his hands together - laughing maniacally...

---------------------------------------------------------

Germany tightens the screws in Spring 07 and comes oh so close to a solo. Time, and the Fall orders, will see if the Kaiser can pull it out. On the board, Russia positions southwards while Germany positions northwards, England sails south to Gascony and Turkey provides the key support for the Russians holding in Serbia.

No retreats required - we move on to Fall 1907. I'd like to set the deadline for Friday, September 28th (11:59 PM GMT.) If anyone feels this is too soon, please let me know though.

Also, our CD soundtrack spins to a close with this adjudication. For the last little while, the subject headers have been coming from Paramore - Riot! Just in case you keep track of these things. =)

Cheers all. Please just let me know if you spot any mistakes.

DC123 - Shade Of The Bonsai Summer 1571 - To Know... - test_gm   (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am)
From the writing of Wu Tsu:

When the world is at peace, a gentleman keeps his sword at his side

The Uesugi take a step back to Dewa and regroup while we move on to Fall 1571. With the assumption that everyone has spent the weekend diploming, I'd like to continue our tradition of Thursday deadlines - setting Fall 1571 for Thursday, September 27th (11:59 PM GMT). This is only several days, however, so if anyone feels they need more time please just let me know.

Cheers all,

Trout

[quote:2aab49075e]The march took place in hundreds of cities across Europe and North America.

NOT SO PERSISTENT IT SEEMS. FRANCE DISAPPEARS!
But...doesn't seem to pay too much for it.
Many with 2 builds, some with 1.
Some definite appearances of alliances.

Definitely an unusual beginning but I expected no less.
Not certain that I remember seeing a game that opened
in such a unique manner.

Orders below, map attached. 48 hours to contest the
adjudication AND to get in your builds. No retreats were
needed.

Jacob - missing next turn would be ill-advised. Anarchy would await.

Yeah. My role in DipCorp has always been to support Sims solos. We've worked so well together in every game we've played. Has anyone out there EVER seen the two of us allied?

Come on Ray…

There was that game where you promised me Nap… wait no you stabbed me.

Oh wait that time you wanted to go to Spain… no, stab.

Um… Yeah in Modern… no stabbed me there too.

I’ve got it! The gunboat! No, wait… pretty much wiped me out there too.

Kenya? I’m sure you stabbed me somehow, even tho I ended up in your centers. Not sure how that one worked but I’m sure you stabbed me.
