Dc159 Deluge Rules Sorted out. - test_gm   (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am)
Good News.

Between myself, an ethusiastic player and Stephen Agar.. i've confirmed that these are the correct years of the creation of SC.

5. New supply centres are formed in the course of the game, after all Winter retreats and adjustments, according to Table 2.

Table 2 - New Supply Centres W 1901: Wal, Ruh, Tyr.
W 1902: Ukr, Ice.
W 1903: Pie.
W 1904: Boh, Sil.
W 1905: Swi.
W 1906: NAf.

When a new s.c. is created it immediately comes under the control of :-

(1) any unit occupying that province
(2) the last country to have a unit in that province
(3) the country within whose boundary the new s.c. lies
(4) if none of the above it is neutral.

dc122 - vacation notice - test_gm   (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am)
Mike, fellow fog diplomates

I shall be leaving on next Thursday (March 6) for a longer vacation, returning only on April 10.
I'm going down to Chile and as it doens't make sense to fly there from Northern Europe for just a fortnight, it is for four and a half weeks.

A assume this is too long for you to pause, so I could offer a substitute for my role in dc122.
It would be Timo Rebschloe, an experienced player in standard dip an world war variants.

Please let me know if we should halt the game for a month or if you'd prefer to continue with Timo till April 10.

I'm sure this will come as a shock to everyone, but we find ourselves short two sets of orders for the full Fall 1869 set. The players in question have been notified, and I hope to gather the stray orders in over the morning hours.

Thanks for the patience, all. Cheers!

Dc132 - Update to House Rules - test_gm   (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am)
Dear Dc132 players.

Hasn't it seemed a long time since the last adjudication?

I have updated my house rules. The relevant section I have changed is this one (point 7).

GM Automatic Retreats and Disbands:

If any retreating unit(s) have only one option of retreat (and no other units to the same space), I will choose to declare the unit(s) retreated at the time of the spring or fall adjudication. The retreat will stand unless I am notified the player wishes to disband the unit by the retreat deadline (normally 24-48 hours). If any unit has more than one option, the player will need to submit a retreat order for that unit.

Any player who would be eliminated in the winter, does not need to submit final disband orders for their final units.

Heya gang,

Unfortunately, our two missing world leaders have yet to come to the party. Hopefully you all don't mind if we hold for just a little longer - I'm somewhat loathe to seek replacements for two positions at once and I believe this may be a weekend deadline issue. (I never seem to learn not to schedule a deadline for the weekend...)

Either results will be out tomorrow or we will seek replacement players. Thanks everyone for your ever-present patience. =)

My apologies for this delay; to be completely honest, since I never
received Russia's retreat I simply forgot about the deadline...

But so Russia's A Mos is auto-disbanded.

Deadline for Fall 1904 is this Wednesday, Mar. 5, at 9 eastern (slightly
less than 4 days, but you all have had a little extra time because of
this extended retreat period - let me know if you need an extension and
I'll be happy to grant it).
