Adjustments are as follows:

Our anarchist mobs in France, Russia and Turkey all live to riot another day.

The Lord Of Chaos rules this Spring!
We have bounces, disbands, all sorts of mayhem.
The Seafolk are repulsed by the Southlands, not only failing to take Illian, but are forced out of the Fingers into the Sea of Storms!
The Borderlanders retake Kandor, ending the Trolloc's depredations.
And a number of armies maneuver to strike in the Fall.
We had one retreat (Seafolk) with only one possible destination, so Jorge, if you would prefer to OTB let me know.
Otherwise we will procese to the Fall move, due Friday, March 14th (at) 9pm

Youre a shinig star, no matter who you are
Shining bright to see what you can truly be
That you can truly be
------------------------------------------------------
England can hold those lyrics true to heart this turn as, fighting to the bitter end, the last British center is lost to the advancing French. Meanwhile, the Germans take a broom to the Cossacks on their own turf stealing both Sweden and Moscow away from the White Russians. The game definitely takes some interesting dimensions with the close of the game year...
One retreat results, but it was an automatic disband. The Turkish fleet in Albania was imploded from the map. We move onto Winter 1907 - where everyone has an adjustment or two to make. The next couple turns will be paced a little slower than usual due to a player absence. I've tentatively set the Winter deadline for Friday, March 14th (11:59 PM GMT) in hopes that the adjustments can be gathered in before our good Sultan leaves on his trip. Please be aware that this deadline might be extended a week or so, all things depending.
My thanks to Ali for staying at it all the way to the funk-filled finale. Keep on grooving there, soul-brother. We'll see you in the next all-night disco. =)
That's it for now. Please let me know if you folks spot any errors. Cheers!

DC 134 - WOT - Summer Move Update - test_gm (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am) |
Late reports bring strange news. Taveren presence suspected in Seafolk Fleet.
As the Seafolk fleet retreated from the Fingers of the Dragon, every ship tacked in unison and collided, sinking the whole fleet in the middle of a school of Lionfish. There were no survivors.
The Seafolk have opted to OTB rather then retreat.
I do not plan on regenerating the maps, but will on request.

DC140 "Never Ending Story" spring 1905 r... - test_gm (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am) |
Spring 1905 brings lots of battles around the North Sea/English Channel area, but the combatants have very little to show for it. A French fleet moves to NAO and Germany reoccupies Munich, but every other move in the north fails. In the south, Italy and Turkey stand off in the undefended Budapest, allowing the absent Austria to retain control. Italy convoys an army to Albania and scuttles the Turkish fleet. Turkey's unsupported convoy to Bulgaria also succeeds.
Since the only dislodged unit, Turkey's F Albania, had no valid retreats and was destroyed, we move directly into fall 1905, which will be due next Tuesday 3/18 at 3pm Central (US). Thanks, everyone!

DC143 spring 1902 results - test_gm (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am) |
As I feared, both Italy and Turkey have fallen into Civil Disorder after suffering a second consecutive NMR. They are now out of the game. Those powers' units will all Hold, but will be automatically disbanded if dislodged -- and as you will see below, Austria takes immediate advantage. In anticipation of a question, yes, those of you who are still active can order your units to support a unit in CD.
In actual game action, Russia gains the Black Sea, and Austria moves to Aegean Sea. Russia's attempt to take Berlin fails, as Germany's F Sweden cuts a support. Germany moves to Ruhr, England occupies Belgium, and France dislodges the English F MAO. Austria takes Tyrolia, and with Italy in CD, the Italian army is disbanded.
The English F MAO may retreat to NAO, Irish Sea, Gascony, Western Med, North Africa, or off-the-board (OTB). With so many choices, England will have a Summer 1902 deadline tomorrow, Thursday 3/13 at 23:59 GMT. Michael, as I mentioned in a previous message, because of the time difference between GMT and US Central, you really will have nearly 48 hours to send your retreat order -- but a quicker response would be much appreciated. I will post the Summer 1902 result as soon as I see it.
I must admit, I wish we had a full complement of 7 dedicated players. But I do appreciate those of you who are still participating.

PS - f01 results! A-squared + B-squared - test_gm (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am) |
Close, but not quite. The peaceful Elians heard through their excellent
information network that the Messenians were planning an outrageous surprise
attack, contrary to all the rules of law. Only after recieving that
information did they regretfully decide that a counter action was required.
Mike of course can't release when the change in orders came through, but if
he could he would be able to confirm the point.

Now, now, now.....
Lets not get ahead of ourselves here. The Messenians are no more pillaging
Elian lands, than those deceitful Elians are burning our homes! He tipped
his hand, and so my people made a correct defensive adjustment to our
plans. Net gain zero. Maybe he will reconsider his adventures now.

That will be me having an early bath then. Am in process of replacing my
chief negotiator. Well, never say die.... Bring it on.
The Elians.

That's right, A-squared plus B-squared usually equals C-squared, except
when the Messenians pillage the Elian homelands! Then A-squared plus
B-squared is a blood bath, while C-squared thru G-squared prepare for the
worst as the knives come out early this game...
