GM Call - Deadline Extension for dc119 Persistent... - test_gm   (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am)
All,
I am still missing several sets of orders [three to be precise] plus I
know that one player was having map issues. Please note - I send the
map with each set of orders in a separate email. I have not figured out
how to attach the map to the message board and I do not know if
the one on dc is always up to date. Please ensure that you get it
in the email that comes from me.

Updated deadline - tomorrow, Monday Oct 22nd. 5pm CST.

I won't move it further but it seemed the prudent decision to make.

Where is description of Gunboat Variant - test_gm   (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am)
Hi Clagr,

Gunboat is kindof a generic term. It is any game where the identities of the players are known only to the GM. Communication between players might be allowed by the GM through press, or there could be no communication allowed between players at all.

You could have a Gunboat Standard game, for example. Or a Gunboat Modern game. There is no specific map for Gunboat, it can be applied to any variant. The only thing is that nobody knows who is playing what position, asides from the GM.

Just drop me an email if that doesn't answer your question, though. Cheers,

Trout

DC123 Shade Of The Bonsai - Winter 1572 - The Way... - test_gm   (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am)
Heya folks,

Thanks to everyone for getting their winter adjustments in on time. Its an interesting Winter as the Takeda build to eastern armies, the Asakura pot a fleet in Inaba, the Mori mix their bag with an army and a fleet and the Chosokabe disband all but the fleet in the Bungo Straits. Meanwhile, in Mino, the Ronin army reforms and prepares to defend their hold once more.

Please let me know if you spot any errors. We'll set the Spring 1573 order deadline for Thursday, October 25th (11:59 PM GMT).

And finally, thanks once again to Patrick for sticking it out and helming the Uesugi. Cheers everyone,

Trout

DC-114 Spring 1903 - test_gm   (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am)
Exciting turn, all you know what has broken out in the East. The pandemonium remained polite as there are only two dislodges. The German army in Belgium is disbanded and the Austrian army in Romania can retreat to either Bulgaria, Sevastopol or OTB. I cannot remember the last time a unit dislodged in Romania had that retreat option. Austria, if you can get that retreat to me ASAP we can start Fall 1903. Picture is up on the website

DC112 fall 1905 retreats and winter 1905 adjustmen... - test_gm   (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am)
An update, the fall 1905 retreat orders are both in:

Austria removes A Galicia.
Russia retreats A Denmark - Sweden.

Now that the retreats are completed, I will recap the winter 1905 adjustments, which are due in about 23 hours, Tuesday 10/23 at 3pm Central (US):

Austria no change
France build 1
Germany build 1
Italy build 1
Russia build 2

I have not received orders from at least one player... it would be a pity if you missed out on your build(s)!

Pandemonium Variant - test_gm   (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am)
Hey guys,

During conversations with Jason, an neat idea for a variant came up. What if you were allowed to build anywhere except in centers that YOU control?

The result would be... Pandemonium.

Standard rules would apply other than builds. Also, SC ownership count would take place immediately before the builds. Therefore, building in a SC does not get you ownership of that center unless you can hold it for a year.

I'd be looking for 7 players to playtest this sucker. Let me know if you're interested.

Player list dc125 - test_gm   (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am)
Great news, we have our players for dc125! (note new game number) Not
even a day passes and we've got 7 confirmed -- a good sign of things to
come. Actually 6 confirmed w a 7th that told me this weekend that he'd
be away till Friday but wanted in for sure. So we'll start Friday!
Till then I guess just hang out, I don't want to send out countries till
everyone is here and can get started together.

You'll see from here on, anything I send to the group will be cc'd to:
dc125-at-diplomaticcorp.com.

That is the address for our game message board, which you can find here:
http://www.diplomaticcorp.com/phpbb2/viewforum.php?f=35 or by visiting
the website, going into Message Board, and then down to dc125. Any one
of you can post to the message board, either thru the site or by
emailing to that address -- it's there to use however you want!

You can find copies of the adjudications there as we go along in case
you ever have to look back.

Also, you'll always find the current map on the game page, which is:
www.diplomaticcorp.com?game_id=dc125

Two players that haven't confirmed (greenfrog and jport) you are more
than welcome to join the next re001, which will probly kick off pretty
quick too.

More Friday,
-mike

New GMs Wanted! - test_gm   (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am)
There are currently 11 GMs running 25 active games, and standards filling all the time. Remember dc games run entirely based on volunteer help from the community… If you’d like to try GMing a game, give a shout. I’d say it takes less than 30 min per week to run a good standard game – much less effort than being a player in a similar game…

Dc113: NOT GOOD - last 24 hour warning. - test_gm   (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am)
Okay,

well another deadline has appeared with 5 countries no submitting moves.

I have moves from Russia and Austria.

England, France, germany, Italy and Turkey are all now using their 24 hour grace period.

24 hours to get moves in.

If I fail to received moves from germany, then germany will go into CD.
