DC116 Vogon's Revenge - Spring 1906 - Into You - test_gm (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am) |
With vigour the new Sultan vied with the rest -
His abilities put freshly to test.
His generals were squawking
The Russian tide they'd be balking -
But all met with defeat in Bud'pest...
-----------------------------------------------------
Terrible, terrible, terrible. Sorry guys, hope your eyes aren't bleeding too badly from reading that. =)
But the gist of it is that despite a valiant effort, all goes wrong for the new Sultan in the Austrian hinterlands - resulting in the yellow army in Budapest automatically disbanding with nowhere to retreat to. The white forces also keep rolling into the west, sailing into the Dutch lowlands with ease. Meanwhile, the German foray into France takes ominous tones...
No other retreats are required save the automatic disband, so we'll move right into Fall 1906. Sorry for the second weekend deadline in a row, but a deadline for next Saturday seems to fit the schedule the most. If anyone needs more time, or can't do a weekend deadline, please just let me know. Orders will be due Saturday, November 17th (11:59 PM GMT).
Shout out if you spot any errors. Cheers guys!

WOT game - Hold - test_gm (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am) |
Dear All.
Thankyou for welcoming me into this game. My name is Artur Hawkwing and i have been reluctantly dragged into
this war even though i told myself i did not have time to do so. However i hope to unitre the midlands and
bring peace to our nation before the Aiel, Trollocs or anything invades.
Please write to me at this email address and i will happily work with anyone who emails me... I will get my strategic
battle plans and emails out soon...
(apologies if anyone has already assumed this persona, I honestly did not plan to play but after discussing the
game with someone my interest was peaked again and i saw it was in trouble of not starting)

.ExternalClass DIV {;} Well I am sorry to say I have had no response from 2 players.
Stephen The Penguin has offered to fill one slot, so we will need one more to get things rolling again.
I am really sorry for this further delay.
Stephen, if you would like to take the Midlands, you can start negotiations now.
We will continue to search for a Lord Captain Commander for the Whitecloaks.
I will keep you all posted as this progresses.
Jason

Dc120 Fall 1903 - test_gm (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am) |
Dc120 Fall 1903.
GM Issue: Gentleman, we had our first difficult Gm decision this move and unfortunately it happened twice this round and i was only able to catch one before the deadline.
Spain and Bulgaria both have coasts. Spain has a NC and SC whilst Bulgaria has an EC and SC.
Therefore fleets ordered to either of those territories must be ordered to a coast, if there is the possibility of moving to either. For example
F Mao - Spain (s a VOID move as Mao can move to NC or SC
F Mar - Spain is an accepted move as Mar can ONLY move to SC.
F Con - Bulgaria is a void move as CON can move to EC or SC.
F AEG - Bulgaria is an accepted move as AEg can only move to SC.
I was able to catch this on Keller's orders as he submitted prelims. Unfortunately i was not able to catch this on Marc's orders as he submitted after the scheduled deadline. If it's any consulation Marc, Keller did not get into Bulgaria as his support was cut
Something to watch for in future, OR submit prelims (I mean you can always change them)

Frank - if you want to write up a little end of game statement (what went wrong, how was completely untrustworthy etc).. email it to me and i will publish at the end of the game. Also let me know if you want your email removed from the adjudications or if you are happy to keep receiving them.
Lastitly - from winter 1903, this adjudication will be posted on the www.diplomaticcorp.com site under game dc120 and in the message board forum there. It will not be posted on the DC yahoo group. It will still be emailed to all players.

minor correction in fall 1906 adjudication - test_gm (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am) |
Andrew pointed out to me that I mis-entered one of his orders in fall 1906; fortunately, the error did not change any results. My apologies for the mistake.
In the original adjudication, I had listed A Rumania Supports F Bulgaria(ec). The order should have been A Rumania Supports A Budapest.
Since there was no impact on position, I am not sending anything new now. It will be corrected for historical accuracy in the next RP file I send with the winter 1906 adjustments. This should come later today, as I have received build orders from both Andrew and Dorian. If either of you have any changes, you still have about 5 hours left before the deadline.
Cory

Winter 1901 Adjustments:
You have 24 hours after the retreat is posted to get your adjustment orders to me (deadline will be roughly 3-4pm GMT this Thurs 15th Nov) - if you already know how you'd like to order regardless of anyone elses feelings - feel free to get them to me right away
In the case of the first year an NBR (No Builds Received) will result in automatic adjustments being implemented! ie. unless I receive a mail saying you specifically wish to waive any builds you are due - you WILL be assigned default builds.
In subsequent turns NBRs will be treated as such and any builds owing will be waived.
(as far as disbands are concerned, if I receive no instruction then default disbands will be used)
If you have any questions get them to me.
Many thanks to all of you for getting through the first year NMR-free!
Kind regards
