DC412 - Spring 1906 Results - Corrino   (Feb 27, 2012, 7:47 pm)
Episode 11 - Der Deutsch Doppelstab, in which Germany plays a two-sided game, and comes out a winner.
Highlights:
England and Italy are beating the bejeezus out of each other in Iberia, but at the end of the turn none of the battling units have changed position.
Turkish fleets resist the lure of easy spoils and sail past the open ports of Tunis, Rome and Naples.Germany likes Russia.  Witness the support for A Galicia into Vienna.Germany hates Russia.  Witness the eviction of the Russian A Moscow.Turkey develops a sudden allergy to Sevastopol, creating a void quickly filled by the fleeing Muscovites. And England quietly moves into position in Livonia.  Perhaps Moscow's fate
remains uncertain yet? What will we see in the Fall?  Will old alliances hold fast, or will we see temptation prove too much for one or more of our noble diplomats?
Tune in Thursday for our next thrilling episode!

RETREATS:
We have two retreats, and each retreat has only one option, so I'm going with the auto-retreats.
Turkish A Vienna retreats to Russian-owned Budapest.Russian A Moscow retreats to Turkish-owned Sevastopol.
Either player may, if they desire, change their retreat to OTB (off the board) by notifying me of that decision by 18:00 tomorrow.

NEXT DEADLINE:  Fall 1906 orders are due Thursday, March 1, by 18:00 Eastern
time.

Cheers,Chris

Orders as resolved.  Please notify the GM immediately if you spot an error.

dc408 spring 1906 results! - coryfucius   (Feb 27, 2012, 4:14 pm)
An odd turn, to say the least... Russia reoccupies Warsaw and also sails into Kiel, while Germany self-bounces in Russian-controlled Berlin yet assists a Russian move into Budapest.  Germany marches into Belgium and assists a French (!) move to the North Sea, while England sails into Sweden.  England and Italy once again bounce in MAO, but Turkey gains the Western Med. Two units are dislodged:  The English fleet in North Sea may retreat to Edinburgh, Helgoland Bight, London, Norway, Norwegian Sea, Skagerrak, Yorkshire, or OTB.  The Italian fleet in the Western Mediterranean Sea may retreat to North Africa or OTB. Since the English unit has multiple options, we'll have to have a summer retreat phase.  The Summer 1906
retreat orders will be due tomorrow, Tuesday 2/28 at 3pm Central (US) / 21:00 GMT.  Thanks! Cory ----- Spring 1906 results: England:

DC410 Deadline approaching, vote to be voted upon - catsfather   (Feb 27, 2012, 2:21 am)
The deadline, 18:00 GMT, is approaching. If you've not had a
"received" from me then I don't have your orders.
There is a proposal to award Germany the victory with all other powers
being marked as survived. Vote yes if in favour of this proposal, or
no if not. Not voting will count as a no vote.

Hi Guys,
Thanks for your patience.

For those of you wondering where your adjudication was last night, you need to go back and read all of the Fall results message.

For those of you who didn't submit adjustments, you need to go back and read the results message AND the tournament rules.  Adjustments are submitted with retreats.  You can't wait to see the retreats first.  Not to mention this already happened once this game.  I'm sorry, but I don't know what more I can do.

The following retreats are needed: Daniel, your Fleet Smyrna retreats to either Syria, or EMS, or
OTB. Anthony, I've auto-disbanded your Fleet Sweden. Thanks for playing, and commiserations on your elimination. The following builds and disbands are required: Austria:   Supp  6 Unit  5 Build  1
England:   Supp 10 Unit  9 Build  1
France:    Supp  0 Unit  0 Build  0
Germany:   Supp  0 Unit  0 Build  0

Russia:    Supp  8 Unit  7 Build  0
Turkey:    Supp  3 Unit  3 Build  0
(This assumes Russia retreats the fleet. Daniel, if you would prefer to retreat OTB, then take a
build.) The Winter 1911 adjustments are due *simultaneously* with the Autumn 1911 retreats. Please get your retreats, and adjustments, to me by 2100GMT tomorrow, Sat 25 February. If you like, you can make your adjustments conditional upon the decision made by Daniel about his retreat. To remind you all, I'm not around for a week and a bit after this weekend. Therefore, we'll need to change the deadline structure slightly to allow the minimum disruption to our game. I'm proposing the following structure (all at 2100GMT as usual): Autumn retreats and
Winter 11 Sat 25 FebSpring 12 Thu 8 Mar(if necessary, Summer 12 retreats Fri 9 Mar)Autumn 12 Mon 19 Mar ...and then back to normal.    Jerome

dc414 Autumn 1902 extension; winter 1902 postponed... - jerome777   (Feb 25, 2012, 4:09 am)
Hi everyone, Sorry for the delay in the adjudication, I am chasing to try to avoid NMRs, and I am therefore going to postpone the retreats and winter deadlines until after my return. The deadline for Autumn 1902 will be 2100GMT tonight. If you have submitted moves you can still change them up until this point. I can't wait any longer than this - if moves are still outstanding at this point, then I will NMR you. I'm not around for a week and a bit after this weekend. Therefore, we'll need to change the
deadline structure slightly to allow the minimum disruption to our game. I'm proposing the following structure (all at 2100GMT as usual): Autumn 02 Sat 25 FebRetreats and Winter 02 Thu 8 MarSpring 03 Mon 19 Mar ...and then back to normal.  Jerome

3 Player Chess - vegas_iwish   (Feb 24, 2012, 9:30 pm)
Flying Circus lasted 59 turns but is now complete. Next option using MS Paint to simulate a game: http://www.threechess.com/en/how-to-play-three-player-chess May not use thier full rules but this is 1 of the best I have seen. The board will not be a piece of art but should be easy to follow. Working out how to re-work the jpeg I have. Likely will use rectangualr counters for pieces as easier to move about + have worked with wargame counters recently. Let's see who is up for something different. Cool

DC404 1905 Spring Results - RickHunter   (Feb 24, 2012, 8:09 pm)
Another great NMR-free round.  Thank you all.  Okay, a reminder that it is labelled Rumania, not Romania.  Please be careful as Rum and Rom (Rome) are not interchangable and can result in a misorder.  Sorry to be picky, I just want to avoid potential errors later.

Rum and Sev get new occupants with massive support but none was needed.  Meanwhile Italy slips into the east.

I truly expected to see movement in the west this turn and saw it but several sets of orders later...and the only movement is Russia's Stp-Bar.

Sev is are only retreat to only only one location so I have ordered A Sevastopol - Moscow.  Russia may also choose OTB by Monday, 2/27 5pm ET.

Next turn is March 2nd at 5pm ET (22:00 GMT).
