DIPYCORP PRESS RELEASES Berlin Summer 1901 To my brave French comrades in Arms, let us not forget the struggles of the past 200 years where time and again we have together thrown the Anglo Saxon armies off our beloved Continent. Now, once again we are under threat and it behoves us to unite once more under the Banner of Liberte, Fraternite and Frankfurters! Let us not be cowed down by Albion’s powerful navies, but instead strike back at her homeland, her dockyards and barracks, her factories and palaces. Instead let there be Chocolate for you and Tulips for me! Let us Unite I say! The Civilised Peoples of Europe demand no less! The Kaiser GERMANS ARE IN ARMS! BURGUNDY HAS FALLEN! MUNICH THREATENED! FRENCH SHOULD SURRENDER IMMEDIATELY! Austrian Premier issues an edict of peace to Italy: Stay in Venice and to the oceans. We'll stay on land and peace will remain between our countries. Austrian Premier issues an edict of allegiance to Turkey: Split the Balkans; I get Ser and Gre, you get Bul and Rum. Peace all around. Dear Russia, Our bounce in Gal was expected, but might we come to a non-aggression agreement and leave that area alone for the time being? I will not move to Gal this season. If you do, expect my forces to push back with all their might. If you don't, we have the beginnings of a nice relationship. Austria The Ottoman Empire announces that the Balkans are his and Russia and Austria should steer clear! Any further advances into that area will signal WAR!!!!!! BULGARS OPPRESSED, SEEK TSAR’S AID ONCE MORE By Hristo Schaldev Sofia — Bulgarian ambassadors attempting to deliver a message to the Russian embassy in Sofia were arrested by Turkish officers this Thursday. Though much of the messages they were carrying has been kept hidden, this reporter has learned that some of them were pleas for the Russian army to be dispatched to Rumania and Galicia. With traditionally hostile Austrian and Turkish forces already making power grabs into the Balkans, Russian presence would be welcomed by locals in both Rumania and especially Bulgaria, where gratitude and expectation run high stemming from the Russian assistance against the Ottoman Empire in the 70s’. Russian presence would also be appreciated (and possibly rewarded) by the more forward thinking states of Western Europe.

From: Austria To: France
My dear friend, If you push into Munich this Fall, I will support your defense in the Spring. I am certain from this position, you’ll have ample opportunity to support me in the future. Yours Sincerely, Archduke Ferdinand
The sultan offers friendship to Austria: I agree to your terms, you take SER and GRE, I will take BUL and RUM. I want peace with you. The sultan wants peace and cooperation with Italy: Leave the balkans and head west - destroy France, the natural enemy of Europe, and you will find a friend in Turkey that will last the game. EDWARD VII WARNS RUSSIA AND GERMANY: "I, the uncle of Europe, wish to maintain the peace in the West by issuing a warning to our friends, the Kaiser and the Tsar. Your peril, at the hands of the formidable Royal Navy, will ensue if any resistance is felt to Great Britain's liberation of Scandinavia. Stay out"

DC 226 - British End of Game Statement - chknbrstl   (Jan 08, 2009, 9:27 pm)
I came, I saw, and secured peace in our own time.

All without any of those fleet thingies.

Oh well, back to rotating my armies from province to province.

Anyone not like my little plan of marching up and down the square? Right...

don't think a strange sense of humor is a problem here.

DC 226 -GAME ENDS IN A 4 WAY DRAW!!!!!! - packrat   (Jan 08, 2009, 3:26 pm)
Jesus Christ said it best as He hung on the cross:

"It is finished"

I have officially ended this game in a 4 way draw after 24 days of play.
Although, the powers that be do not actually acknowledge that the game
ever actually started.

This game has been a pig to recruit for and while I really wanted to run it
I don't want to have to beg for players and then get ones who can't meet
the responsibilities they signed up for.

So, rather than drag this out any longer I opted to end it this way.

Congratulations to those who survived SP01. Nicely done.

Hey all,
The game is up on the home page again for players - think of it this way - at least we have the GM here to ditch the lameasses who sign up then dont show up for the game. You'll get a better game out of it, once you start with 7 who are interested in playing! As always if anyone has other ideas on how to avoid new players comign to the site, signing up, then disappearing, feel free to share. Otherwise it does take some time to weed them out.

Sorry gents, I am still missing two sets and I will not start a game out
with two NMR's in 1901. Both players have been notified separately
since I forgot to do that last night. They have until 2100 Wednesday.

Acutally, I will be in class until 2200 so I will likely slide it a bit. However,
if they do not have orders in the game will go on hold and they WILL be
replaced.

Subject: RE: DC 226 - Game on hold

Hey all,
The game is up on the home page again for players - think of it this way - at least we have the GM here to ditch the lameasses who sign up then dont show up for the game.

However,
if they do not have orders in the game will go on hold and they WILL be
replaced.
