DC-250 My Army Is Bigger - Welcome to the New Tsar... - former.trout   (Apr 17, 2009, 12:46 am)
Heya 250ers!

Please join me in welcoming Joe Payne to our party of deceipt and treachery.  Joe has been good enough to fill our vacant Russian position and allow the slug-fest to continue.  Our revised player roster is below for your review and information purposes.  =)

To give our replacement time to diplome with you all, the Fall 1901 deadline will be reset to Tuesday, April 21st (11:59 PM GMT).  Thanks once again for your patience this past week during this minor stumble.

Cheers everyone!

DC250 - Temporary Hitch For Russian Replacement - former.trout   (Apr 10, 2009, 9:29 am)
Heya folks,

With regrets I have to let you all know that Dave has had to leave the game due to a death in his family.  Dave, I think I can speak for the group when I say that you have our sympathies and condolences.  Thank you for your efforts in the game to date.

I've placed the game back into recruiting and I'm positive that we'll be able to find a replacement Russian very shortly.  What this means is that you all will gain a little extra time to sharpen those knives.  =)

Apologies for the delay in the game, everyone.  But I'm sure you can all understand.

DC250 My Army Is Bigger - Spring 1901 - Heads Will... - former.trout   (Apr 03, 2009, 1:54 pm)
Heya folks,

Apologies about not getting this out last night - was caught on the road on an unexpected trip.  Oh - it was the best of times, it was the worst of times...  As they say.  =)

Anyways, maybe a couple of you will feel the same way concerning this first turn.  Some unexpected and unconventional openings lead the way - it looks as though this ones going to be a ripper.  The usual bounce in the Black Sea is foregone this time, and instead the bounce occurs on the other side of the board in the English Channel.  Meanwhile, the Austrians teach the Serbians a thing or two, and Germany heads north to claim some Danish real estate...

There were a couple errors as well, unfortunately.  The Russian northern fleet starts the game on the south coast, not the north and therefore the order to Norway is void.  Also, regrettably, the province of Tuscany lies in the way and prevents the Italian Rome army from immediate access to Piedmont.  Sorry about that, guys...

No retreats are required and we'll set the Fall 1901 deadline for a weeks time - for Friday, April 10th (11:59 PM GMT).

Cheers all!

DC250 - My Army Is Bigger Than Your Army - Game-La... - former.trout   (Mar 25, 2009, 8:51 pm)
Heya folks,

I'm very happy to announce the game-launch of DC-250, which I've tongue-in-cheek named "My Army Is Bigger Than Your Army!"  The player roster and country assignments are below.  Due to almost all of you guys virtually having the same sets of preferences, not everyone landed the country in the top range of their choices.  Hopefully everyone will make the best of the position that they landed.  =)

I've attached a copy of my house rules, with which I'll be governing any grey areas that might crop up during game-play.  Please do look them over - I know that they're somewhat extensive but it is all good info for you folks to know.  In addition, I've included a copy of the standard game-start map.

Our game forum is dc250(at)diplomaticcorp.com (dc250(at)diplomaticcorp.com)  It is of great benefit if you go to the message board and subscribe to that forum.  That way, if email quirks and you miss an email from me, you should still receive it by way of the message board.

And that about covers it.  I'm thrilled to have you all in the game!  Happy stabbing!  The deadline for Spring 1901 orders will be set due for Thursday, April 2nd (11:59 PM GMT).  Prelims are both welcome and highly encouraged.  =)

Game on!
