Ok, people . . . a few issues to go over here. First, some of us are getting complacent about changing the Subject line of the email. When you reply to my previous messages without changing the Subject line it makes finding your orders later difficult. So, please take a moment longer when replying to one of my previous messages to change the Subject line . . . please.
Second, a couple of you are going to find you accidentally sent in illegal orders. Again, I encourage you to look at your orders once again after I have sent you my “received” return mail to avoid these errors. Or, perhaps the error was that you did not have an updated map to work from. The DiplomaticCorp site will always have the most recent map available if you want to check there once in a while.
And last but not least, I am not your baby sitter. I trust that all of you are old enough to be out on your own. I will often allow last minute extensions for no more that 24 to 48 hours (and sometimes provide my own excuses to cover a 24 hour delay). But, it is your responsibility to get me your orders or the request for an extension on time or you will end up with all of your units holding with a No-Moves-Received (NMR). I will only allow two NMR’s per player before I replace you . . . no questions asked.
I hate being a total ass . . . but if that is what it is going to take . . . trust me, I can be an ass.
I would like to have the Russian retreat as soon as possible. If I hear nothing from Joe before Wednesday (11/25), I will assume the position has been abandoned and begin seeking a replacement player.

My deepest apologies; however, due to technical difficulties, I will have to extend the deadline by 24hrs. I thought I could handle this while I was on travel, but it turns out that my laptop will not run Realpolitik for some odd reason. Please be aware, per the House Rules, perpetual orders are not a valid option. Perpetual orders forces me to make a judgment on your behalf. This would be unfair to the other players and is not acceptable in any form.
There was a couple of retreat orders received today (Monday). That tells me that there are those among us that do not have computer access (or at least, do not play) over the weekend. I will keep that in mind when setting deadlines in the future. Thanks.

My apologies for my tardiness, all orders were in on time (thank you). However Real Life intruded and took me away from my computer for a few hours.
A couple of you have asked for “General Logistics” help. I have looked into whether the DiplomaticCorp site provides this service. Unfortunately, it does not at this time. However, I suspect that this service will be available in the near future (within a year or so) and may even include “Mentoring” for those whom are new to the game.
In the mean time, I am open to providing “General Logistics”. How this would work is; you provide a hypothetical situation, I will provide you the results of the situation and the reason behind the results. I will not offer input on alternative courses of action or what your opponents might do to counter your hypothetical. You will get only the results of your hypothetical situation, no mentoring. In my opinion, downloading RealPolitik would be more helpful; but, if you have no other option, I am available.
Also, per the house rules, it is your right to ask for a second opinion from another GM. If you think I have miss-adjudicated something, I will never be offended by this request.

The Turkish A in Constantinople can retreat to Smyrna or OTB.

Normally, when there is only one province or sea zone available for the retreat, I will exercise my prerogative as GM to do the retreats automatically. All,
Just a few hours over 24 hours to the deadline. I have received only 3 sets of orders.
I hope you all are not coming to depend upon this reminder to get your orders in to me. This is merely a courtesy on my part and not a requirement. Therefore, it is not an acceptable excuse that you did not receive the "Reminder" email for why you missed the deadline.
If you have not received my "Received" email, please resubmit your orders. I hope to hear from the remaining 4 of you who have not submitted orders soon.
