DC300 - Summer 1902 adjudication delayed - bielf11   (Feb 09, 2010, 1:09 pm)
I have not yet received the Summer 1902 retreat orders. So you will have to wait another 24 hours at max before you receive the Summer 1902 adjudication.

This is a good opportunity to inform you that I have decided to grant every player 2 grace periods for the whole game.
A grace period applies when I have not received a player's orders at the deadline and allows the player another 24 hours to submit the orders.
Only one grace period is allowed for a turn.
Use them wisely, I'd say.

DC300 - 1902 Spring adjudication - bielf11   (Feb 08, 2010, 1:01 pm)
Spring 1902: the year of the conflict.
Austria is under heavy attack from Italy, Russia, Germany, and some even think Turkey's orders were inspired as such.
Meanwhile the office of tourism of the Balkan finds itself overwhelmed by the people pouring into the place: aside from the Austrians, there are Italians, Russians, and Turks. The Italians cry murder as they see their favorite spot taken by the Turks. The Russians, armed with Lonely Planet's guide on Budapest, hastily retreat as soon as Austrians decide to spend Summer at home.

On the other side of the european mainland we see Germany and England bounce in the North Sea. And the Russians have used all the power they could gather to attack the English in Norway.
And France: it's looking at all these skirmishes and probably thinking "laissez faire".

The English fleet in Norway is forced out by the Russians.

DC300 - 1901 Fall - adjudication - bielf11   (Feb 01, 2010, 12:48 pm)
Fall 1901: "Was it something I said? Or perhaps didn't say?"
Rumors are flying that the Austrian emperor has gathered all his advisors demanding what has transpired that caused such a massive attack by no less than 3 Powers. Heads are expected to roll.

It was by luck, or was it insight, that the Austrians ordered the fleet in the Adriatic to support the Viennese army to Triest and so bounced the joint German/Italian invasion. Had it not been, Austria would have been in a difficult position. Not that it can sit back and relax in 1902 as its neighboring Powers have grown and are closing in.

France and England apparently have a disagreement on who's entitled to Belgium.
And Turkey and Russia still dispute the Black Sea.

Now Winter has fallen and it's time to rejuvenate the forces.

DC300 - Spring 1901 Adjudication *** CORRECTION **... - bielf11   (Jan 25, 2010, 4:21 pm)
I have to apologise to all of you, because I already made an error. An incorrect adjudication was sent out because I hadn't copied all orders correctly. Please accept my humble apologies.
In addition, I have changed the format of the images from JPG to GIF as this is the same format the DC site uses. If anyone has problems viewing the GIF images, please let me know.

So here we go with the correct adjudication. These only have an impact on France and Germany (positionally. Strategically the ramifications may be much bigger).

Reports of war are coming from all across Europe.
Austria fought the Italians in Triest and although the Viennese army failed to set up camp in Triest, it did manage to keep the Italians out.
To the east Austrian and Russian armies both claimed Galicia, and bounced.
The Russian and the Turkish fleet had a similar argument and identical results over the Black Sea.
The Germans sent their army in Munich to scout the Austrian mountains in Tyrolia. Apparently totally to the surprise of the Austrians.
Only France and England did not have any collisions.

If this Spring sets the mood for the coming seasons, we'll see the lands and waters color red with the blood of young privates and sailors.
Wives and children are left behind crying for the loss of their husbands and fathers.
In all countries citizens are calling upon their leaders to find a diplomatic solution.

I'm confused, Frank.

After I sent you my verson 2 orders, I had asked a question with abbreviations. I'm afraid that I do not understand how my version two orders didn't override my version 1 (prelim) orders. Could you explain this to me?
