VIENNA, Fall, 1901

Mitolo here. I am becoming distressed. My archduke has not been seen for many weeks. He is sequestetred in the basement of the castle and many women, most dressed in black leather, seem to pay him regular vists. We send food down three times a day. I have been given the assignment to find something called "nipple clamps." I am guessing that I should be looking in the plumbing section of a local hardware store. If any of you have better ideas about where I might find such things, please let me know.

Mitolo

There you go. Maps and realpolitik file are attached. Have a great weekend, and get those builds in!

Greetings from Vienna:

Oh it is a bee-u-tee-ful day here in Vienna. Let me introduce myself. I am Mitolo, Jester to Kings...or is that King of the Jesters?

My liege, Franz Ferdinand, is a liitle tied up in the basement right now and has asked that I step in and say a few words on his behalf.

Um...let's see, the people of Austria-Hungary are friends to all...blah, blah, blah, peace-loving...blah, blah, blah...oh here's the important part...and in need of wenches who will do the wild thing. Applicants should apply in person. Prior experience desireable but not necessary. EOE.

Mitolo

That ends the press for the spring. Hope you all enjoy, have a good week, and get those orders in!

DC290 REstart!!! clearification - bobbarkerfan1   (Feb 15, 2010, 5:42 pm)
If you had already sent me orders from the last attempt, I'll just use those unless you send me new ones. I'll reply to your old orders when the deadline is coming up to remind you and to make sure you have the right orders sent in.

Good question.

Thank you all for waiting. I would like to welcome the reliable Ross Yaggy to the game as a replacement for France. Thanks Ross! Shouldn't be too hard of a transition because the game hasn't started yet. With that being said, here is your new deadline for Spring 1901:

The spring 1901 deadline will be ***Saturday, February 20th, 9:00pm EST*** I urge you all to send in preliminary orders as soon as you get this to avoid missing the deadline. Also, if you think you might miss the deadline, play it safe and ask for a deadline extension. I'm going with the deadline on Saturday to give you all a chance to meet the new French diplomat.

DC290 Spring 1901 - bobbarkerfan1   (Feb 14, 2010, 9:16 pm)
Alright, because I still haven't heard from John yet, I am going to begin looking for a replacement. John, if you get this please reply ASAP, because I will keep you listed in the game until I find someone else. I think this is the best option because the game hasn't started yet, and it won't disrupt the game too badly with a replacement now.

I apologize everyone, just sit tight for a little longer until a replacement is found or I get an e-mail from John.

Thanks,

Joey

DC290 Spring 1901 - bobbarkerfan1   (Feb 14, 2010, 9:28 am)
Hey everybody,

My apologies for not sending this out last night, I was unable to get to my computer. We do have one missed deadline however, and as I told you all in the welcome e-mail, each player will be awarded one grace period for 24 hours. If the orders are not received by then, then they received an NMR. And every missed deadline after that is an NMR.

Everybody is free to change their orders or continue negotiating until this deadline.

Once again, my apologies for the start of this game, hopefully once this first turn is in the books the game will start to flow.

Joey

Hey everybody. Hope you are all ready to go because this thing is under way! I was able to get everyone one of their top choices, so this should be a good game for everybody. And thank you for the input regarding deadlines. I will make sure to not have Monday deadlines, and in April, I will make all the deadlines between Tuesday and Thursday. For those of you anticipating to be absent for extended periods of time, let me know about a week in advance when you would like the deadlines "to be or not to be." With all of that being said, I wish you all the best of luck and hope this game turns out great!

DEADLINE:
The spring 1901 deadline will be ***Saturday, February 13th, 9:00pm EST*** I will make every deadline 9:00pm EST as to remain consistant with this game and my other game. I am almost always on time sending out adjudications, so if you think you will need extra time, let me know BEFORE the deadline and I'll extend it as need be.

Hey guys,

I'm moving this weekend, and the telephone company mistakenly to disconnected my internet early. So I only have access at work, and probably not much at all on Friday.

I don't think it's necessary to extend the deadline. I just wanted to let you guys know why I'll be a bit slower to reply.
