Hi folks,
It appears as though our friends in Germany are undergoing a revolution. Our Kaiser has abdicated and a new leader will have to be found. I'll put the call out right away and start beating the bushes to see who steps forward. Once a new leader is found, we'll give him or her time to diplome with all of you and reset the Fall 1902 deadline.
Sorry about this everyone. As I've found though, even in games with the most experienced players - you still get some dropped positions. Thanks for the patience, we'll be back in the saddle again before you know it. =)

"Trapped in a hot car" is a great way to describe this turn. The new Kaiser juggles furiously but is unable to dislodge England from his perch in Holland. France makes steam into the Western Mediterranean and Russia bounces the opportunistic Brits from St. Petersburg. The move for position in 1902 leaves the adjustments few and far between.
Thus, England and Italy secure a build while no love is shown to our fresh replacement, who is forced to disband. Deadline for Winter adjustments will be set for Saturday, December 8th (11:59 PM GMT).
One note, however. Some of our fearless players are moving away from the habit of including the game number in the subject header. ( i.e. writing DC-129.) While this isn't technically required, it sure helps me sort the emails quickly and is greatly appreciated. This is one of many games that I'm involved with, and game designators on the emails makes your humble GM very happy. =P

Heya gents, sorry about the days delay in the Winter results. Guess we had a miscommunication that was partly my fault.. (I failed to provide immediate notice that there was a late order submittal...)
In any case, the Winter of 02 rolls along. Confrontation brews in the north as fleets are raised in Edinburg and St. Petersburg north. The Germans clear up the seas a little by disbanding in Helgoland, and Italy makes like a land-lubber and recruits troops in Venice.
Deadline for Spring 1903 orders will be set for Thursday, December 13th (11:59 PM GMT). Please just let me know if you spot any errors.
Also, we'll probably need to discuss scheduling over the Christmas holidays. My first instinct is to plow right through, with a break over the 23rd to the 26th, and a couple days at New Years. However, I throw it out to you players. If you'd like a longer break than that than just let me know and I'll schedule accordingly.

Austria becomes the odd-man out as the Italians bludgeon their way into Serbia in repayment for all the Austrian support. The Scandinavias become a tangled dance-floor as England and Russia prepare to tango all over each other. And in the far south, Tunis is witness to yet another titanic struggle between east and west.
There was one retreat needed from the Spring moves, the aforementioned Austrian army in Serbia. However, as Trieste was the only option I took the liberty. Tanel, if OTB is preferred then please just let me know. Deadline for Fall 1903 moves will be set for Wednesday, December 19th (11:59 PM GMT).

Spring 1901 fires on all cylinders as the English stake their claim on the Channel, the French go wine-tasting in Burgundy and Austria cruises happily into Serbia, bouncing in all other directions. Quite an interesting set of opening moves...
No retreats and no surrenders. We move into Fall 1901 with the deadline set a week from today, on Tuesday November 13th (11:59 PM GMT). Please just let me know if you spot any mistakes or errors in the adjudication - they do happen. =)

Oh - wait! I'm talking about DC-129, where Turkish troops play among the columns of the Parthenon, the French take to town for the Running of the Bulls and Ikea gets bought out by the Tsar. Other action sees England take their tea in Belgium, Germany checks out for a few nights in Amsterdam, Italy crosses the Mediterranean to introduce fine dining to the Tunisians and Austria goes for a nice tour of the Balkans.
All in all, a fine turn. One slight miscue on Russia's part with their submitted orders for a fleet in Sevastopol. (Sorry Jake - didn't see this one until mid-adjudication..) With no retreats required, we slip into the Winter adjustments - where everyone gets a build! Please have adjustment orders in to me by Thursday, November 15th (11:59 PM GMT)...

Oh - wait! I'm talking about DC-129, where Turkish troops play among the columns of the Parthenon, the French take to town for the Running of the Bulls and Ikea gets bought out by the Tsar. Other action sees England take their tea in Belgium, Germany checks out for a few nights in Amsterdam, Italy crosses the Mediterranean to introduce fine dining to the Tunisians and Austria goes for a nice tour of the Balkans.
All in all, a fine turn. One slight miscue on Russia's part with their submitted orders for a fleet in Sevastopol. (Sorry Jake - didn't see this one until mid-adjudication..) With no retreats required, we slip into the Winter adjustments - where everyone gets a build! Please have adjustment orders in to me by Thursday, November 15th (11:59 PM GMT)...

Luckily, everyone's orders stayed on track for Winter 1901. Fleets and navies spring up across the board - in Smyrna, Edinburgh, Marseilles and Brest, Kiel and Naples. But land-lubbers are drafted into the service as well, with new boots on the ground in Constantinople, Budapest, London, Berlin and Moscow. The board gets more crowded, and we move on.
We'll set Spring 1902 orders due for the regular Tuesday deadline, on Tuesday November 20th (11:59 PM GMT). Please just let me know if you spot any errors.

Bounces all across the board as the smoke from Spring 1902 clears. Austria and Russia once again spar over Galicia, St. Petersburg turns into a battleground between England and Russia and in the forests of Ruhr the French and the Germans lock horns. In more successful attacks, the English pry their way into Holland while Italy scoots across the Ionian into Greece.
Two retreats were required after Spring - one an auto-retreat and the other an automatic disband. I auto-retreated the German army in Holland to Kiel as it was the only option - however, if OTB is preferred Alex, please just let me know. Not as lucky, the Turkish army in Greece was removed from the board. Which leads us to the Fall deadline schedule. Orders will be due by Thursday, November 29th (11:59 PM GMT). The deadline is a little longer this turn as Ricardo has just gotten word to me that he is dealing with a family illness.
Also, please note that although it had no real bearing on the game, there were two misorders in this batch of turns.
- Russia ordered a support for NOR from Sweden. The abbreviation NOR could be taken for Norway, North Sea or Norwegian Sea. Although no such attack was ordered, if it had been the Russian support would have been void.
- Germany ordered a fleet move from their unit in Holland when that unit was actually an army. Once again, as per the house rules an incorrect unit designation voids the order.
If I catch these types of mistakes before the adjudication, I will bring them to the players attention. However, I do not always have time to review orders, and thus this should not be relied on. Please always proof-read your orders with the understanding that I will NOT be interpreting what is written... I adjudicate as per what is written in the email.

We're short one apple of the bunch for Fall 1903. The player in question has been sent a seperate email concerning the missing orders. I'll hit the sack tonight and hopefully the stray set will find its way in overnight - allowing adjudication to take place tomorrow morning.

Apologies for the slight delay. Still haven't heard from Jim for Fall 1903 with regards to Italian orders. We'll lock all other orders in place and launch the Italian grace period. 24 hours counting time already elapsed means that the grace expires this evening at 11:59 PM GMT.
