DC166 - Spring 1902 Deadline Reminder - test_gm   (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am)
Ask not what your units can do for you, but rather what you can do for your units!

In this case, you can submit orders for them. Deadline for Spring 1902 falls in just over 20 hours. Cheers!

Dc169 - 26ish hour warning/ - test_gm   (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am)
I would not normally give you a warning in a Tournament game but I'm making up for my winter lapse.

Dc169 Spring 1902 is due Tuesday 1st, 7pm EST (Tuesday 8am GMT)

I have NOT received moves from all players. Those players can now expect a follow email..

DC170 spring 1902 - GM has returned - test_gm   (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am)
Sorry about the delays last week, everyone, the sickness that has been going around everyone else in the house finally got hold of me. I'm back now, and would like to thank Mike Sims for taking on my GM duties for the fall and winter of 1901.

When sending your orders, please be sure to cc: the following address as well, so that a temporary GM can easily take over, as happened last week -- this goes for all Winter Blitz tournament games, not just this one:
orders (at) diplomaticcorp (dot) com

The spring 1902 deadline is tomorrow 4/1, and Mike has already announced a 4pm Pacific deadline, 1 hour later than usual. We will return to the normal 3pm Pacific / 23:00 GMT deadline at the next season. Once again, I apologize for slowing down the game.

DC152 (wb0817) - Spring 1913 - test_gm   (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am)
Russia holds the line in Galicia, can't face the fire in Trieste. The E/F draw is once again torpedoed, and the Sultans Palace in Turkey is proposed by the National Geographic Association as the next archaeological dig site.

No retreats to worry about - just the disband in Trieste. Fall 1913 orders will be due on Thursday, April 3rd (11:59 PM GMT).

Please let me know if you spot an error. Cheers!

DC170 spring 1902 results! - test_gm   (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am)
Lots of movement, and the remaining neutral centers are occupied by invading armies, but only one unit is dislodged this turn. England sends ground forces to Norway, and with an assist from Germany sets Russia's northern fleet adrift. Germany moves to Belgium and pushes strongly eastward. England and France bounce in the English Channel. France and Italy send units headlong at each other, both on land and at sea. Austria and Turkey (!) try but fail to scuttle Russia's southern fleet, although Austria does gain Galicia.

Russia's dislodged fleet in Sweden may retreat to Skaggerak, Gulf of Bothnia, Finland, or OTB. Kyle, your summer 1902 retreat order is due tomorrow 4/2 at 3pm Pacific (US) / 23:00 GMT. Everyone's fall 1902 orders will be due Thursday 4/3, also at 3pm Pacific.

DC170 fall 1902 results - test_gm   (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am)
We suffer our first NMR of the game, as the Tsar has gone missing. I have ordered all Russian units to hold. Per tournament rules, there is no civil disorder regardless of how many NMRs a player may incur, and the player may return at any time.

As it is, Russia ends up drawing the short straw, as three different powers take control of centers previously under Russian control. However, Germany may be seeking a larger piece of the action, as the Kaiser tries but fails to drive England out of Sweden. Germany and Turkey, both with support from Austria, take Warsaw and Sevastopol respectively. Elsewhere, England sails into the English Channel, while France moves full force towards Italy and successfully convoys an army to Tuscany.

Two Russian units were dislodged, F Sev and A War. The fleet in Sevastopol has no valid retreats and is scuttled. The army in Warsaw may retreat to Prussia, Livonia, or OTB.

Many of you will have winter 1902 adjustments due, as follows:

Austria build 1
England build 1
Germany build 2
Russia remove 2 (remove 1 if Warsaw retreats OTB)
Turkey build 1

Both the autumn 1902 retreat and winter 1902 adjustments are due at the same time, tomorrow 4/4 at 3pm Pacific (23:00 GMT).

DC152 (wb0817) - Fall 1913 - test_gm   (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am)
Heya gang,

Found a slight mistake in the Spring adjudication as I had directed the English convoy to Norway whereas it had been ordered to Denmark. England orders from Denmark in the Fall, so thankfully there is no real effect. Meanwhile, France rolls into two Russian centers and England storms into Galicia.

Winter adjustments are due tomorrow, April 4th (11:59 PM GMT). Please double-check me here and let me know if you spot anything astray.

Cheers!

DC170 winter 1902 adjustments - test_gm   (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am)
Two of our powers fail to submit orders this turn. Russia's dislodged army in Warsaw went unordered, and by Dip rules is disbanded; and since Bothnia and Ukraine are equidistant from the Tsar's home centers, the fleet is the default disband. England fails to send a build order, so his build is waived for this year.

Spring 1903 orders will be due Tuesday 4/8 at 3pm Pacific.
