Plenty of action again this season, especially in the domains of our fading powers Italy and Russia. France (with support from Austria) gains both Rome and Tunis, Austria takes control of both Venice and Warsaw, while Turkey takes over Rumania. Germany moves aggressively toward France, as England defends against a German attack that fails to materialize.
Three units were dislodged:
The Italian F Ionian Sea may retreat to Adriatic Sea, Albania (vacant because the convoy was disrupted, not due to a standoff), Apulia, Eastern Med, or OTB.
The Italian A Rome has no valid retreats and is destroyed.
The Russian A Ukraine also has no valid retreats and is destroyed.
Winter 1903 adjustments are due as follows:

There was one retreat from Russia in Constantinople. For the sake of the final map, I simply removed the fleet. Congratulations to Michael for the solo victory, as well as to all you surviving players. EOG statements are MORE than welcome. =)

Well done Michael.
This was a great game to be in, the type where you learn from your mistakes and others better tactics.
The turning point for me was breaking my alliance with the Turk- i needed another unit to make headway on my stalemate line and asked to borrow 1 from him- he had 2 banked. But he declined, leading me to the conclusion of an imminent stab which would finish me.
From there it was a case of trying to split the Franco/British alliance, my final tactic being to hold back the Brits and allow France an easier path but alas i failed to get Rene to see the obvious and here we are.
I took the time to review Michaels moves part way through the game and learnt a lot from some of his approaches- thanks!

Sorry for the long delay, I got a bit distracted by a major event at work -- it's not every day that you get to work on borrowing $1.2 billion dollars. (Kevin, if you see this message, you can probably guess what that's for.)
I could not find build orders for either Austria or Russia, so their builds are waived this turn. Italy bids farewell to its ground forces, maintaining the fleet after it beat a hasty retreat to Eastern Med. France builds armies to counter the now-diminished German threat to his home centers. England expands the Royal Navy, and Turkey adds another army.
Spring 1904 orders will be due Tuesday 4/15 at 3pm Pacific. Thanks.

The end appears to be near for both Italy and Russia, as foreign occupiers move in to their remaining centers. Meanwhile, Germany seems to be seeking a new home, as Germany moves toward both English and French centers while Austria rolls into Munich. And as the French fleet takes hold of Naples, the lone Austrian fleet sails into Tunis.
The only dislodged unit is the Russian army in Moscow, which has only one valid retreat to Livonia. In order to keep the game moving, I will order that retreat.
Fall 1904 orders will be due Thursday 4/17 at 3pm Pacific.
