DC183 Winter 1901 builds - test_gm   (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am)
And the builds are in for Winter - a mix of armies and fleets are raised throughout Europe.

We now move to Spring 1902, with a deadline of Friday 23rd May at 2000 GMT. Btw, I'm concious the deadlines I'm setting are a bit quicker than some other GMs - if anyone has a problem with this, then shout.

Thanks

Michael

DC183 Summer 1902 retreats - test_gm   (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am)
Hi folks

No changes in preliminary retreats as the deadline passes...with the English fleet retreating to SKA, the Turkish army to Albania and the Russian fleet to SEV.

Also, I managed to screw up the Italian orders last time - he supported his attempted move of ROM-TYS with TUN, not NAP and moved NAP to ION and not TUN - ION. As this didn't involve a substantial change in the position on the board, or affect any of the retreat decisions, I've not delayed the game. Were the error substantive, then I'd have informed and extended the deadline - I'll do this in future, using my judgement.

Anyway, the attached GIF file and realpolitick file includes the correct Italian spring moves and the above retreats.

The deadline for Fall 1903 is Monday 16th June at 2000 GMT.

Any problems, questions etc, let me know

DC183 Fall 1903 moves - test_gm   (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am)
And we roll on to Fall 1903

England grabs Denmark to compensate for the loss of Norway...but can he hold on in the face of Russia's northern assault? Meanwhile, France and Italy seem to come to an arrangement, with France reducing her presence in the Med, and Italy vacating Munich to head for Bohemia. However, a French general is likely to face a court martial, as the French army vacates Kiel, leaving the remnants of the German cabinet still holding on to power...just.

In the East, a messy situation in the Balkans results in a stalemate, with a network of moves and support cancelling each other out. In contrast to the French general in Kiel, the Russian general in Armenia will be up for a commendation as he anticipates the Turkish army moving to Ankara, and sneaks into an undefended Smryna, putting Russia in a dominant position with 11 centres now under the Tsar's control.

With (amazingly) no retreats needed, we move to Winter 1903. The only changes needed are from Russia (building a whopping 3) and Turkey (disbanding 2). Whilst Germany's technically due a build, due to him being in Civil Disorder, there'll be no troops appearing in Kiel...

To try and keep the game moving at a reasonable pace, the Winter 1903 deadline will be Wednesday 18th June at 2000 GMT. Should both Russia and Turkey confirm their adjustments before then, I'll adjudicate early.

As always, please feel free to point out mistakes...

Michael

To try and keep things moving apace, I'm going to try and squeeze Spring 1904 moves in by the end of the week - Friday 20th 2000 GMT. If anyone has a problem with this being too quick a turnaround, let me know as soon as you can and I'll extend (if you could let me know when you think a reasonable deadline would be if you object, that would be good)

Thanks

DC183 Spring 1904 moves - test_gm   (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am)
Spring 1904 moves see France move into Belguim, with England making a Dunkirk style retreat by convoying his Belgian army back to the homeland. Meanwhile, he grabs Kiel, but Russia replaces him in Denmark. In the east, Russia also moves into Bulgaria but Turkey evicts the russians from Smyrna

We've got one retreat needed from Russia, who can retreat from Smyrna to either Syria or Armenia

The retreat deadline is Monday 23rd June at 2000 GMT, and we'll shoot for Fall 1904 moves for Thursday after that. Should Russia notify me of his retreat before Monday, I'll shift the Fall deadline forward a day..
