DC176 - 1 hr REMINDER for Turkey - test_gm (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am) |
Henry,
sorry for having to contact you through this public channel.
But since you had problems before I'm no longer sure whether you receive my messages.
Perhaps you could also arrange a second email address to avoid this?
Please contact me asap as I'm still waiting for your orders for Spring 1904 which are due in 1 hour.

DC177 Fall/Autumn 1903 Results - test_gm (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am) |
Austria manages to keep both his units after some foraging, France rides
a German convoy across the North Sea to Edinburgh, and Italy continues
to push northward.
There were only two retreats: Italian A Vie had only one on-board
retreat and thus has been retreated to Vie. English fleet Eng has been
retreated to Iri for the sake of game speed. Joe, if you wish to
retreat to Pic (your only other on-board option), or if either of you
wish to retreat OTB, let me know ASAP.
Winter 1903 is due this Friday, June 6, at 9 pm eastern. Adjustments
due are listed below the adjudication. As a heads up, Spring 1904 will
not be due until Tuesday, June 17th, at 9 pm eastern because I will be
out of town from Saturday until then. Note that this means there will
NOT be a reminder email, so send prelims and/or don't rely on it.

DC176 - Spring 1904 - Adjudication - test_gm (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am) |
Dear players,
it's now almost 4 hours past the deadline and I have still not heard from Henry Haig (Turkey). Last message was regarding the previous adjudication he had also missed (see my earlier message on this). Several reminders and the postings on the DC website have not helped sofar. Regretfully, Henry did not provide me with an alternate email address like some of you did (thanks).
Thus I have no other choice than to record a second NMR for Turkey. That would mean his units go into Civil Disorder. However, considering the technical problems Henry mentioned earlier, I would like to give Turkey one more opportunity to redeem itself. He can prevent the CD for his remaining unit if he contacts me before the deadline for Summer 1904.
With the orders in for Spring 1904 from all other Powers, I have decided to move on.
So here is the adjudication for Spring 1904:

I also confirm all moves/emails within 24 hours so if you dont here anythign, let me know.
2) As stated, press will be published with spring, fall and winter moves. So I wont publish press on retreats and I wont 'hold' a deadline for press - once i have all final moves in, i will run a deadline (this probably applies more for winter than anythign else)

DC 183 Winter 1902 builds - test_gm (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am) |
In a second GM screw up in the space of a couple of days, I've got the Russian fleet build this winter wrong in the below email. Russia wanted to build on the north coast of St Petersburg, not the south coast. I'll send out a revised map when I get home this evening.
In the light of this error, which could materially affect the situation in the north of the board, I'm going to extend the deadline for Spring 1903 moves to 2000 GMT on Monday 9th June, to allow all players to take account of this change in their negotiations and discussions.
Sorry for this mistake, and hope it doesn't affect anyone too much...

Russian Press Conference - test_gm (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am) |
The Tsar announced today the publication of a new book, penned by his majesty. The book is tentatively titled "Top Russian Strategies: How to Rule Europe."
Below is an excerpt from the soon to be published book:
Russian to-do list for ruling Europe...
1) Capture Sweden. If this should fail, drink some vodka and plot revenge.
2) Attack Austria. If this should fail give up and hope Austria leaves you alone... If they don't...drink some vodka.
3) Sell your military services to the highest bidder (e.g. whoever will attack someone else and not Mother Russia) share some vodka with them.
4) Capture Holland by any means possible...be prepared to sell it to the highest bidder (see #3 for definition of Highest bidder)
5) Consolidate your forces by working with whoever is left...Drink more vodka. Hope for the best
The book should hit the bookshelves soon...!

Heya folks of the March,
Spring 1903 grooves on without a hitch. Turkey and France feel the heat as the former draws fire from the Russians and Austrians while Germany shows the latter the door in Burgundy. France had the only retreat from the Spring moves - as Picardy was the only option other than OTB I took the liberty. However, if our fearless Frenchman wishes to retreat OTB instead, please just let me know and I will correct the adjudication.
My thanks for everyone for the patience during this Troutish interlude... I happily return you to the hands of your regular GM. Deadline for Fall 1903 will be set for Wednesday, June 4th (11:59 PM GMT) or as later announced by Garry.
If you spot an error, please just drop me a line. Cheers everyone!

Winter 2000 - Results - test_gm (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am) |
Hello all, thanks for getting the builds in well on time. I trust that the negotiations are going swiftly and there must be some interesting decisions to make in the near future. The builds follow, but first, Europe left this on my desk:
An article from Europe Maintenant:
Yesterday's election in the European Parliment came as a suprise to all of Europe. The Europe Nationale Party smashed the NDP and the North-West Party in the election-the two most favoured to win-and secured 62% of the total seats in the Parliment. Europe Nationale Party leader, Heinrich Jager, is now the Chacellor of Europe. Today, as he was sworn in as the chancellor, Chancellor Jager swore to "defend European nature abroad, chiefly with the aid of deplomacy, using war as a last resort."
Chacellor Jager also publically extended a greeting to all nations.
"Europe is not interested in territorial agression, but nor would she stand still if she is attacked. I would like to caution every current, and future Head of States. Come as friends, and we shall welcome you with open arms. Come as enemies, and we shall welcome you with an iron fist."
Jager also stated that he had received several communiques regarding possible alliances offered by other factions, but he did not disclosed the identities of the powers offering alliances. "All I am going to say is that the next few days will be chaotic, and I urge patience to the other nations. I will answer their communiques as soon as I have organized the cabinet."
The North-West Party is appealing to the European Court for a recount. Details will follow in the future.
Now, without further ado, the builds.

DC179 Blackmarch - Fall 1903 - Here We Go Again...... - test_gm (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am) |
No orders received from both France AND Italy. We officially begin the 24 hour grace period for Italy
because he has yet to receive a grace period. France benefits from that IF he submits orders within
the time period. The grace period is until 5pm CST 5Jun08.
If no orders received from either player, this turn will be an NMR for either/both.
Sorry for the delay.
