DC456 Imperium - Spring 405 - Zoterik (Jun 17, 2013, 11:59 am) |
The battle lines are being drawn across Europe as the last free Roman cities are swept into the emerging Germanic nations. Sicily remains untaken for now, but that odd sort of liberty may not last very long. Despite being split directly down the middle, Italy remains quite peaceful, as the Vandali press west while the Alamanni move east.
No retreating units; Fall 405 orders are due 21 June at 23:00 GMT.

DC455 Aberration - Spring 1905 - Zoterik (Jun 17, 2013, 11:09 am) |
Well well, what do we have here? This game one definitely has the impression that the centre cannot hold, as the corner powers continue to make their moves. Burgundy suffers significantly as two new alliances appear to emerge: Spain/Sicily and Poland/Hungary. How Israel and Éire fit into the changing world of geopolitics remains to be seen, while Burgundy, Byzantium, and Ukraine may simply be known as the battlegrounds of the future.
Retreats can be managed simply, so we proceed to the Fall.

End game proposal fails, and so we move on to winter. I have had a
request to speed up the game a bit, and so I will pose a question, as
well as try something to speed it up a bit. For the 4 players left, a
proposal has been made to speed up major turns to 3 days. Do any of you
object to this? Please let me know, and I will act accordingly.
And with the close of the fall turn, we say goodbye to Austria and
England. Thanks for playing up til the end, both of you.
We will combine retreats and builds into one go, due in 48 hours. I'll
run it tomorrow night if I have all in by then.

Thanks to you all for getting your orders to me over the weekend. We should now be in a position to resume our usual schedule of moves. Spring 02 moves and press deadline is Monday 17 June, 2000GMT.
Here's some news and views from across Europe for you to enjoy:
---------------------------------------------------------------
This
is PERUN, GOD OF WAR! Heed my message, mortal scum! The Italians have
done well this turn, but I have not favoured them! What is this
treachery!! Turkey and Russia fight over the meaningless Black Sea,
while England sends a useless army to Belgium! Dear Loki, is there a
competent leader amongst these filthy slime-covered mongrels? France,
Austria, and Turkey must all converge in the Mediterranean before their
demise is written in runes and their warriors sent to Valhalla. HEAR
ME, MISERABLE URCHINS! BURN ROME!
---------------------------------------------------------------
England to Russia: Better move for spring is Gob - Bal. Lots more options in fall then
---------------------------------------------------------------
Russia -- gladly accept your offer for Bul. I'll press my
other armies towards Italy, tying his forces up so France can take him
out from the West.
Italy -- don't know what you were thinking, but it's coming to haunt you now.
Turkey
-- Greece is on the table. Italy cannot hold, and we shouldn't let him.
I'd appreciate a one year grant of Greece to build more anti-Italian
forces.
---------------------------------------------------------------
Der Kaiser is Konfused.. Welkom mat for merry olde Kinge and he slips in the side door?
---------------------------------------------------------------
France to Italy: fleet in mar is headed to spain and mao as you can see by my other press.
France
to Germany: i'm on your side - builds demonstrate i'm aiming for
England. Bur will order support for Holland to Bel in Spring.
---------------------------------------------------------------
Russia to Austria: I'm still planning on A Rum Supp A Ser - Bul and hope to hear confirmation.
Russia to Italy: This is a great time to get into Aeg, or join the fun with F Gre Supp A Ser -Bul!
Russia to England and Germany: I'm planning F GoB - Swe, who's got my support? One of you needs me unless its an EG.
---------------------------------------------------------------
Spice and Rum cake for the Italians.Beer and Brautwurst for the Austrians.
---------------------------------------------------------------
Spring 02 moves and press deadline is Monday 17 June, 2000GMT.

I'd like to try to get this game back onto schedule, with the Spring 02 moves due on Monday evening at 2000GMT. Given this is a Gunboat game I'm hoping that is OK with everyone. If anyone has any major issues then tell me and I'll think again, but otherwise I'd like to make the deadline for the retreats, builds and weekend press 2000GMT tomorrow, Saturday 15 June.
Don't forget, you can make your build(s) conditional upon Italy's retreat, if you so wish.
We also have lots of news and views from YOUR continent in this, your latest issue:
---------------------------------------------------------------
France to England: happy to work together. Build a fleet, nth - hel, fleet - nth and we're on our way to taking out Germany
---------------------------------------------------------------
England, England, England. An England/France alliance is typically
a problem long term, but given Germany's aggressive attempts to grab my
vineyards in Burgundy, I'm happy to work with you to rid Europe of
German aggression for once and for all. Throw your fleets against
Germany and I'll throw my armies his way.
---------------------------------------------------------------
Germany, Germany, Germany. A German/French alliance needs you to
stay out of Burgundy. Build a fleet this winter to show your good
intentions and i'm all yours. Together we'll get the English drinking
fine Bordeuax reds and quaffing good German beer.
---------------------------------------------------------------
Russia
to Austria and/or Italy - Shall we form one of those anti-Turkish deals
where we gang up on him because it just makes so much long term sense?Russia to German - Thanks for letting me into Sweden. You did right?
---------------------------------------------------------------
France, France, France. Despite your designs on Iberia I know
better. That fleet is headed for the Mediterranean and when your back
is turned, you'll be stabbed by Germany or I. Keep the fleet in
Portugal and we can work on Germany.
---------------------------------------------------------------
Russia, Russia, Russia. Thank you so much for giving me free rein
in the north. Germany will betray you, that much is known. Watch out
for the fleet build in Kiel, and he'll have you out of Sweden by next
Fall. I may even help him.
---------------------------------------------------------------
PIRATES!! PIRATES!!!
Yes, fellow citizens of Europe, you've heard this Roving Reporter correctly!
Terrible
news for the European continent! Pirates from the dark continent have
succeeded in crossing the Med, landing several gorilla troops on shore,
and made off with not one, but *TWO* world leaders in the past 48 hours!
That is not a typo! *TWO* world leaders, kidnapped by
*GORILLA* troops! Armed guards report, in both cases, baby chimps were
lying in the road in front of the motorcades. When the cars stopped,
they were besieged by 3 silverbacks and several female and male
gorillas! Guards and civilians were knocked aside, pure focus made on
only the leaders. No injuries were sustained by anyone involved.
"It was as if they were programmed to go for a specific
target", said one bystander of the apes actions. "They were purposely
hitting people with closed hands, or just shoving them aside. They
grabbed the President, wrapped him in vines, and carried him away".
Spotter planes reported losing the gorillas in the trees,
but discovered later that they made their way to the coast. All
gorillas were rounded up, accounted for, and sent to zoos in the United
States.
Unfortunately, there were no signs of the missing leaders.
Rescue teams are combing the forests, hillsides, beaches, and towns.
They are also calling on the general public to assist in this
Continental crisis! If you happen to discover a writhing bundle of
vines, call the authorities immediately!
Future News will be revealed as it is discovered, or made up if sales volume decreases.
---------------------------------------------------------------
Austria, Austria, Austria. I see you're in a bad way. I'll see if
I can spare an army to help you out against the deceitful Italian.
Your friend Germany will come to the rescue!
---------------------------------------------------------------
Italy, Italy, Italy. Oh Italy. Dearest Italy. You get two fleets
and you think you can rule the world. Well, France and I are on to
you. Fleet builds are coming to challenge your Mediterranean naval
dominance. You won't have it that easy.
---------------------------------------------------------------
Russia to Austria: No prob on Gal. As you can see Im good to go with a
AR alliance. I can Support A Ser - Bul in Spring 1902. Please verify
this weekend.
Russia to England: Assuming I'm blocked out of Swe and there's a Fleet in Nwy, can you support F GoB - Swe in Spring 1902?
---------------------------------------------------------------
Turkey. Tur-key. Turrrrrkey. We're coming to get you. Don't
trust the Russian. Russia never gives up the Black Sea lightly...
---------------------------------------------------------------
This concludes our latest edition of the Catalan Chronicle,
we
hope you've enjoyed reading it. Please do send in your news stories,
thoughts, dreams, ambitions, and reviews, however mendacious, for us all
to enjoy.
You have one retreat, builds press deadline (tomorrow, 2000GMT) before the Spring 02 moves and press are due Monday 17 May, 2000GMT.

DC457: Spring 1618 Events - mmedeiros (Jun 14, 2013, 1:09 am) |
Comments: The battle for the Netherlands is heating up as the French push into the southern region; Spain abandons the position for a fierce attack against the Westphalians for their treachery. English attempt on the Dutch provinces fails. To protect Portugal, the Spanish abandon Galicia, which is quickly overtaken by the English fleet in the Bay of Biscay. And to make matters worse for the Spaniards, their Hapsburg cousins lay claim to Swabia, mount a massive offensive, with Bavarian and Franconian support, and swiftly eliminate the Spanish garrison there! Scandinavia's attempt against Prussia fails as Poland supports the Prussian army at the behest of the Austrians. Army of Savoy with French support moves into Switzerland to establish a front against the advancing Austrians. French and Spanish fleets clash over the Balearic Sea. [Reply] |

Welcome to Diplomaticcorp! It's deceptively simple to join a game. Up at the top there you can see "Games", which is a drop-down menu and the first option is "Open Games". You'll see three open games at the moment. For each game there is bold white text which reads "Join this game!". Press it, and you're in, and you should receive an e-mail from your human GM.
At this moment, re001 has six players of seven, so if you join that you have a good chance to start the game very soon.[Reply] |

Hi everyone,
Unfortunately I'm lacking two sets of moves for the Autumn turn. Rather than have NMRs this early in the game, I'm extending the autumn deadline by just under 24 hours to give those concerned a chance to get their moves in. If they are still not present by 2000GMT tonight, then I will remove and replace the players concerned.
Sorry for the delay, but this is shaping into an interesting game - best if we have seven committed players involved.
If any of you want to change your already submitted moves this is fine up to the deadline.
Deadline for all Autumn 1901 moves (and press ) is now Friday 14 June, 2000GMT.

I've never played online before and I am not sure how to get in to a game. I'm down to play in any game at anytime.
Give me a chance.[Reply] |

Welcome to Diplomaticcorp! It's deceptively simple to join a game. Up at the top there you can see "Games", which is a drop-down menu and the first option is "Open Games". You'll see three open games at the moment. For each game there is bold white text which reads "Join this game!". Press it, and you're in, and you should receive an e-mail from your human GM.
At this moment, re001 has six players of seven, so if you join that you have a good chance to start the game very soon. |

I tried to join the game but it says that I need to join a randomized game first since it is my first time. |
