I am also completely disapointed in Fletch. he just attempted to stab me as well.
I dont see why a seasoned player would allow another player to solo when they could have easily
forced a draw.
Trout - you may win this one, but it's not because of better play by you know - it;s because Fletch
played like an idiot.

Gents,
From where I sit, Fletch is hastening the inevitable. Which I will demonstrate if Steve continues with this temper tantrum he seems to be on.
You guys might be angry at Fletch right now - but I'll explain in my EOG how a solo on my part was unstoppable and just a matter of time. That sounds really arrogant, and I apologize if it comes across like that... It's the truth, however, as much as some people don't want to believe it.
Insults aside, its been a hell of a game. Whether it ends now or in two moves, I consider myself lucky just to have played this one with you guys. It's been a lot of fun. =)
Cheers,
Trout

Agreed on all points.
I don't mind the name calling and will save my full explanation for my EOG. Needless to say, from this idiots perspective, it was complete failure of my neighbors to work with me EARLY in the game that led to a Trout solo...along with characteristic arrogance form one player in particular who just assumed his "logic" would prevail despite several ill-timed and senseless betrayals.
All the best,
Fletcher

DC161 Knights Who Say Ni! - Fall 828 - Art Gallery - test_gm (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am) |
... Yes take my word for it, Marge. Kevin's eaten most of the early nineteenth-century British landscape artists, and I've learned not to worry. As a matter of fact, I feel a bit peckish myself...
A Scandinavian wave rises, but bounces against a stout Anglo-Saxon jetty. Meanwhile turbulent tides envelop the Welsh countryside and the Gaels cling to survival by their fingernails...
No retreats are required after the Fall moves and we flow directly into the Winter 828 adjustments. Orders are needed from the Gaels, the Scots, The Britons and the Anglo-Saxons. Deadline will be set for Friday, Apr 25th (11:59 PM GMT).

DC130 ~ Imperial1840 - test_gm (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am) |
There's another version of Realpolitik called RealWorld. Mike suggested it to me a while back and I finally had time to load it up.
In playing with it I found it can handle a map 2 times the size of Imperial1840's and it highlights non-supply center territory to the color of the last country that passed through it. That's a nice touch when testing a game like this - to see possible dead spaces where no one goes.
So, I've ported dc130 over to RealWorld. The file for it is dc130.dpw, instead of dpy. Both the dpw and the dpy files are in the dc130 folder online. The maps are from RealWorld. I'll output both dpw and dpy until the games ends.
RealWorld can be downloaded from the download section Diplomacycorp.com and I suggest you do for the features it adds.
Jerry

DC143 fall 1904 results! - test_gm (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am) |
The knives are sharpened, and a few units fall victim to well-coordinated attacks. England is pushed out of two centers by combined French and German forces, Austria grabs an undefended Russian center, and Russia moves westward toward Germany.
There are 3 autumn retreats due:
The English F Belgium may retreat to English Channel, North Sea, or OTB.
The English A Norway may retreat to Finland, St. Petersburg, or OTB.
The German A Silesia may retreat to Berlin, Prussia, or OTB.
Winter 1904 adjustments will be as follows:
Austria build 1
England remove 1 or 2, or even, depending on retreats
France build 1
Germany even, or build 1 if retreat OTB
Russia even or remove 1, depending on English retreat
Normally, I would set both the autumn and winter deadlines for the same time. But with so much dependent on the English retreat in particular, I will run the two turns separately. Autumn 1904 retreats will be due tomorrow, Friday 4/25 at 23:59 GMT (I know that's an odd time, but I don't want to slow the game by 2 days just for retreats.) Winter 1904 adjustments, fully updated based on the retreats, will be due Tuesday 4/29 at 23:59 GMT. I will post the autumn results as soon as I have received both the English and German retreat orders.
Thanks, everyone!
Cory

**************************************************************
The deadline for Spring 01 is:
Friday April 25th 5PM Central Time [United States]
**************************************************************
Remember, orders aren't confirmed until you get an email back from me stating such. For multiple versions of orders, I like to use the following format:
Blackmarch [or dc119]: English Orders S01 [1]
and then vary the number in parentheses for each subsequent set. As a rule of thumb, you should send in orders pretty quick as conditional and then change them after diploming. This often avoids the dastardly NMR [no moves requested]. NMRs result in all units standing and two NMRs puts your country in anarchy for the remainder of the game [and draws the ire of your GM who WILL do all he can to have you greylisted from the site].
I am attaching a copy of my house rules. Please feel free to ask me any questions. I will have the dcsite for our game updated shortly and will copy all communications to the dc179 Forum on the website.
Enjoy and best of luck!
Cheers,
G - Lord of the March

Fall 1903 dc163 overdue notice. - test_gm (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am) |
Folks, I am as guilty as anyone right now. I haven't stayed on top of my games this last week or so. I would like to get back on track.
Monday was to be the deadline, I believe, for our Fall 1903 orders.
I only have 4 of the 7 sets in right now. I blind copied the three missing orders.
Can we get these orders in ASAP?
